Welcome back to the "Why not Do These?" series.

More gaming ideas from yours truly.

Here they are.

A Ninja Gaiden game featuring Jô Hayabusa

The father of the Ninja Gaiden series protagonist has made several appearances, yet, have you ever wondered what it would be like if they had a Ninja Gaiden series prequel that featured Jô Hayabusa before his son became the most famous ninja in video gaming.

Certainly, one would have to wonder how he went from being just another ninja to being the leader of the Hayabusa ninja clan.

Old West adventure game

I am well aware that Red Dead Redemption 2 is still most popular western game out there, but the game itself like its predecessor does not necessarily take place during the days of the Wild West.

Which is why I am proposing this idea as a video game with the same open world game-play as the Red Dead series.

The game could take place a week/month after the end of the US Civil War and the lead character would come back home only to find that it's gone to hell. So it's up to the lead character to bring law and order to town, rising from Sheriff to US Marshal and go on various manhunts or perform various tasks around town earning the trust of the people and unlocking more in-game features for doing such positive things.

Then of course there is the option of being the bad guy and giving more people a reason to shoot at you. You could also be neither and just be another Bounty Hunter.

Another thing: The character doesn't have to be a Civil War vet. They could be a Native American, a Woman, black, Latino or Chinese.

Fire/Rescue operations

When was the last time you played a game where you played a fireman who had to going into a raging fire to save lives? Carefully maneuver through a collapsed building? or trying to avoid drowning while saving lives like in an incident like Hurricane Katrina?

If you haven't, then there needs to be a video game that features the everyday hero that is a firefighter

It would be a third person game and other than the traditional fire hose, you would have the trademark axe.

Vikings-The Video Game

With the series coming to an end, why not have a video game that takes place in the same timeline of the series?

Whether the game gives you the choice of playing the iconic Vikings characters or create your own character to travel what was then the known world, one thing's for certain: there needs to be more games with a Nordic feel to it.

Hercules

When was the last time you played as the son of Zeus himself, besides playing Smite? or performed his famous "Twelve Labors"?

Playing as the most famous Demi-God in Greek mythology would be a nice way to spend your days on the PS4/Xbox.

Whether it would be based on the comics that inspired the 201 4 movie or even on mythology, the strongest of the Greek heroes should get a chance at the gaming world even if it's Marvel Comics Hercules that gets it.

M.A.N.T.I.S.

This lost gemstone of 90's TV entertainment starring Carl Lumbly ran for only one season, yet like Firefly, it developed a cult following and there is talk of a reboot.

Instead of having a reboot about this crime-fighting paraplegic with an awesome exo-suit and a Bruce Wayne lifestyle, why not have a video game too?

Night Man

Another lost gemstone of 90's TV entertainment featuring Matt McColm as saxophonist Johnny Domino when he is not the title hero. He has a telepathic ability to sense evil around him which is his only superhero ability, for as you can see, he has a black suit that is obviously bulletproof and also has flight capabilities, holographic camouflage invisibility along with advanced sight function that sees in the dark and fires lasers.

The series ran for two seasons, while featuring Professor Johnathan Chase (Simon MacCorkindale) as the Manimal in an episode with the same title as the episode, and was released onto DVD two years ago.

Since then, there has been nothing else mentioned of this creation by Steve Englehart.

So why not make a video game of this? If not made off the original series, then why not a sequel to the series featuring the son/daughter of Johnny Domino?
