World of Warcraft isn’t your typical MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) What it is, is a lifestyle and a game that can extend your life by decades.
It’s also the first game since Diablo III (released in 2015) to be ranked as one of the 10 most popular games on Steam.
World of Warcraft has been downloaded more than 5 million times. It’s sold over 13 million digital copies, and has had over 1 billion hours of playtime from players worldwide.
The game is rated M for Mature by the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board). As with all games released by Blizzard Entertainment, World of Warcraft contains adult content that may include violence and sexuality.
There are two separate worlds or realms in World of Warcraft: Azeroth and Draenor, which were separated after the events of Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Each realm is divided into multiple continents or continents, which are then further divided into individual areas called “lands”; these land areas are further broken down into “races” that each have unique characteristics and abilities within them (such as “guilds”).
The game was originally released in 2004 under the title World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade.[4] It was later renamed to World of Warcraft in 2006.[5]
World of Warcraft was developed by Blizzard Entertainment following their acquisition of the rights to use copyrighted material from Blizzard Entertainment's previous project Diablo , which was created by former employee Richard Garriott . The company published a statement announcing their intent to re-release Diablo II alongside World of Warcraft as part of a "Fans First" campaign.[6] Although Diablo II was cancelled before its release,[7] it went on to become one of the highest selling PC games ever released.[8][9]In June 2008, Blizzard announced plans for a new expansion pack for World of Warcraft titled Cataclysm , officially titled The Burning Crusade . It was released on November 23, 2008. According to ,[10] this expansion pack added new content such as dungeons , raids , battlegrounds , mounts/vehicles , and quests . [11] On January 28, 2009, Blizzard announced that they had sold more than 2 million copies per day for weeks leading up to release.[12][13][14][15] In April 2009, Blizzard announced plans for an expansion pack entitled Legion inspired by their successful Kickstarter campaign,[16] although

I have a love-hate relationship with World of Warcraft. On one hand, its expansive, richly detailed world and deep lore keep me coming back. The sense of adventure and the community are unparalleled. However, the grind can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when trying to keep up with the latest expansions and gear levels. For those times when the grind feels too much, but you still want to enjoy all WoW has to offer, I've found that a wow boost from wowvendor (https://wowvendor.com/en-us/wow/) can really help. It allows you to bypass some of the more tedious aspects of the game, letting you focus on what you love most about WoW.
