What If Final Fantasy 7 Was Set in a High School?

It's no surprise to say that Final Fantasy 7 is perhaps one of the most popular games of all time. From its original inception in 1997, to its recent remake, and related spin off media, it truly made its mark on video game history.

Yet, one type of media regarding Final Fantasy 7 is the lack of a High School themed alternate universe. The following list reflects as to what role the characters in all related media would play in this hypothetical spin off.

Cloud - The All-Rounder

Considering Cloud is important to the storyline in one way or another, it makes sense.

Zack - The Best Friend

Got to have one of these in the school setting. Someone has to be it and Zack Fair fits the bill to a Tee!

Barret - The Jock

All about sports is this one. Barret being the jock would be the sporty one ready to score the big points!

Jessie Rasberry - The Cute Nerdy-Girl

She's a nerd and she's cute!

Biggs and Wedge - The Pranksters

Always making a quick joke, but good hearted all around.

Aerith - The Girly-Girl Cheerleader

You could practically see Aerith in this role. All she needs now are pom-poms and an attitude of piousness.

Tifa - The Tomboy

Considering Tifa is all about martial arts, there is no denying the fact she could fit the bill regarding this.

Cid - The Country Boy

There was always one in every high school. The student who came from the backwoods, playing country music, waving his country flags, and was an all around good old boy.

Yuffie - The Idolizing Underclasswoman

Ah yes, the one student who is a grade (or year) behind the others, but is part of the main cast. Yuffie would be the one student who idolizes the older students as they run the school.

Cait Sith - The Mascot

Every school had one. Cait Sith might be a puppet (...or robot?), but his work as a mascot would be admirable.

Vincent - The Goth Student

Did you ever have a classmate who was obsessed with dark things? In the case of Vincent, him being the designated goth would be perfect!

Red XIII - The Class Pet

I never had one of these when I was a schoolboy. However, what other role would Red XIII play? The Resource Officer's drug dog?

Bugenhagen - The Principal of Avalanche High

Bugenhagen being the principal. I can see this happening. Considering his infinite wisdom on the Planet, he would fit this role.

Dio - The Gym Teacher

Just look at this guy. He is jacked up!

Professor Gast - The Guidance Councilor

Mayor Domino and his assistant, Hart - The Super Intendant and Assistant.

They make the rules but nobody cares. In fact, the schools would regard them as far removed from anything! Then again, they'd be like Chalmers!

The Cetra - The School Minority

Every school has one of these minority special groups. With the Cetra and their strange culture, they would definitely be this!

Shulua Rui - The Hot Teacher

This lady is the teacher all the boys fantasize about. Then again, the boys would be too distracted by her hot looks to learn anything!

Shinra Academy - The Rival School

In every school related drama, there is always the rival school. In this case, Shinra would be considered this.

The Turks - The Preppy Kids

Common, the instant you saw them in their suits, it made sense. Then again, the Turks could serve as students from the rival school! As for the individual Turks themselves...

Reno - The Slacker

From the way he dresses and acts to his attitude, Reno fits the slacker quite well.

Rude - The Quiet One

So few words, so much hidden greatness.

Elena - The Show Off

There is always the one student who likes to show off. Elena would fit the bill for this one.

Cissnei - The Token Good One

Despite the rival school's disdain for the hero school, there was always one student who got along with the lead cast. Cissnei, considering her history with Zack, would fit this role perfectly.

Tseng - The Star Student.

There is always one at the academy. The one who is an ace at both academics and athletics.

President Shinra - The Principal

From president to principal, this guy would make Seymour Skinner look like a choir boy!

Professor Hojo - The Science Teacher

Fail him and you're next for an experiment!

Don Corneo - The Perverted Teacher

Let's face it: every school had one. Don Corneo would be the type of teacher who would pervs out on the female students.

Reeve Tuesti - The Cool Teacher

Every school has a cool teacher or two that offset the mean ones. And Reeve fits the bill.

Scarlett - The Cruel Teacher

Beware! Her paddle has graced...er...pummeled countless rear ends!

Heidegger - The Truancy Officer

Under his watchful eyes, there would be no skipping class! Heidegger would also find anything to bust a student on just to have them in detention!

The Shinra Troopers - The School Safety Patrol

Someone's got to be the Truancy Officer's troopers.

Palmer - The Wacky One

That one guy who everyone considers strange and odd.

Solemn Gus - The Black Market Racketeer

Known as "Mr. Coates", this guy would be the student who gets you the things you need...at a price.

Rufus - The Principal's Whiny, Spoiled Son

This guy gets a free pass because who his father is! He won't get punished because he is daddy's little gentleman! Imagine when things don't go his way, Rufus would be the first to shout, "Do you know who my father is!?"

Lazard - The Stoner/Class President/Grungy Activist

I am not sure why I made Lazard the stoner...then again, he would be too busy sitting in an English garden waiting for the sun to come lest he get's a tan from sitting in the English rain!

Hollander - The Neckbeard

His knowledge of geek culture is enough to make him such!

Angeal and Genesis - The Skirt Chasers

Need I say more? These guys want the ladies!

Glenn Lodbrok - The Trouble Maker

Someone's got to be the bad boy and Glenn Lodbrok is the guy for the part!

Sephiroth - The School Bully/Gang Leader

Every school or neighborhood had one. Considering Sephiroth's the lead villain, this guy would rule the school yard hands down. Ready to deliver swirlies at a moment's notice!

Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo - The Bully's Gang

Think about it. They all emulate their leader.

Jenova - The Complaining Parent

Having to put up with her four rebellious sons is enough to make even Mama Jenova lose her mind! Her boys are cause a ruckus everywhere!

Kyrie Canaan - The Artsy Student

Self expression is something all art students do well. Based on her looks, Kyrie would be fitting for this part. Maybe I'm being stereotypical, but that's beside the point.
