Warframe: X Blueprints You Should Not Buy

Useless Warframe Blueprints

By Nelis ThuoPublished 3 years ago 5 min read

Warframe is a popular online game that lets players customize their own space ninjas and engage in various missions across the solar system. The game offers a lot of options for crafting weapons, frames, and other items using blueprints that can be obtained from different sources. However, not all blueprints are worth buying, as some of them are either too expensive, too common, or too useless. Here are 10 blueprints that you should avoid buying in Warframe.

10. Oberon Prime Blueprint

Oberon Prime is one of the prime frames that can be obtained from relics, which are items that drop from certain missions and can be opened in special fissure missions. Relics contain four possible rewards, one of which is a prime blueprint or part. However, Oberon Prime is one of the most common prime frames that can be found in relics, and his blueprint is not very valuable in the market. You can easily get his blueprint from a Lith relic, which is the lowest tier of relics and can be obtained from almost any mission. Therefore, buying his blueprint from other players or from the market is a waste of platinum, the premium currency of the game.

9. Forma Blueprint

Forma is an essential item that allows you to modify the polarity of a mod slot on your weapon or frame, which can increase the mod capacity and enable more powerful builds. Forma blueprints can be obtained from various sources, such as relics, syndicate offerings, invasions, and sortie rewards. However, buying forma blueprints from the market is not a good idea, as they cost 35 platinum each, which is quite expensive for an item that requires 24 hours to craft and consumes a lot of resources. You can get forma blueprints much cheaper from other players or from syndicate offerings, which cost only 20,000 standing each.

8. Hek Blueprint

Hek is a powerful shotgun that can deal massive damage at close range. It is one of the best weapons for beginners and veterans alike, as it can easily clear most content in the game with the right mods. However, buying its blueprint from the market is not necessary, as you can get it for free from Steel Meridian, one of the six syndicates in the game. Steel Meridian is aligned with Grineer, the main enemy faction in Warframe, and offers various rewards for increasing your reputation with them. One of these rewards is the Hek blueprint, which costs only 25,000 standing and does not require any platinum.

7. Gorgon Blueprint

Gorgon is a heavy machine gun that fires a barrage of bullets at a high rate of fire. It is one of the first weapons that you can encounter in Warframe, as it is used by some of the Grineer enemies. However, it is not a very good weapon, as it has low accuracy, high recoil, and mediocre damage. Buying its blueprint from the market is also pointless, as you can get it for free from invasions, which are missions that pit two enemy factions against each other and reward you with various items depending on which side you support. Gorgon blueprint is one of the possible rewards for supporting Grineer in invasions, and it does not cost any platinum or resources to craft.

6. Ignis Wraith Blueprint

Ignis Wraith is an upgraded version of Ignis, a flamethrower that shoots a continuous stream of fire that can hit multiple enemies at once. It is one of the best weapons for crowd control and clearing rooms quickly, as it has high damage, range, and status chance. However, buying its blueprint from the market is not recommended, as it costs 250 platinum and requires a lot of rare resources to craft. You can get Ignis Wraith blueprint much easier from other players or from clans that have researched it in their dojo. Ignis Wraith blueprint was originally a reward for participating in an event called The Pacifism Defect,

which required clans to rescue defecting Grineer soldiers from Infested ships.

5. Mutagen Mass Blueprint

Mutagen Mass is a rare resource that is used to craft some weapons and items in Warframe. It can be obtained from various sources, such as invasions, sortie rewards, or biolab research in the dojo. However, buying its blueprint from the market is not a smart move, as it costs 15 platinum and requires 10 mutagen samples to craft, which are also rare and can only be found in the derelict missions. You can get mutagen mass blueprints much cheaper from other players or from invasions, which offer them as a reward for supporting Infested. Mutagen mass blueprints are also reusable, so you only need one to craft as many as you want.

4. Detonite Injector Blueprint

Detonite Injector is another rare resource that is used to craft some weapons and items in Warframe. It can be obtained from similar sources as mutagen mass, such as invasions, sortie rewards, or chem lab research in the dojo. However, buying its blueprint from the market is also not a good idea, as it costs 15 platinum and requires 10 detonite ampules to craft, which are also rare and can only be found in Grineer missions. You can get detonite injector blueprints much cheaper from other players or from invasions, which offer them as a reward for supporting Grineer. Detonite injector blueprints are also reusable, so you only need one to craft as many as you want.

3. Fieldron Blueprint

Fieldron is the third rare resource that is used to craft some weapons and items in Warframe. It can be obtained from similar sources as mutagen mass and detonite injector, such as invasions, sortie rewards, or energy lab research in the dojo. However, buying its blueprint from the market is also not a wise choice, as it costs 15 platinum and requires 10 fieldron samples to craft, which are also rare and can only be found in Corpus missions. You can get fieldron blueprints much cheaper from other players or from invasions, which offer them as a reward for supporting Corpus. Fieldron blueprints are also reusable, so you only need one to craft as many as you want.

2. Exilus Adapter Blueprint

Exilus Adapter is a special item that allows you to unlock an extra mod slot on your frame, which can be used for utility mods that enhance your mobility, survivability, or energy efficiency. Exilus Adapter blueprints can be obtained from various sources, such as quests, syndicate offerings, nightwave rewards, or simaris offerings. However, buying them from the market is not advisable, as they cost 20 platinum and require a lot of resources to craft, including two forma and an orokin cell. You can get exilus adapter blueprints much cheaper from other players or from syndicate offerings, which cost only 50,000 standing each.

1. Orokin Catalyst/Reactor Blueprint

Orokin Catalyst and Reactor are the most important items in Warframe, as they double the mod capacity of your weapons and frames respectively. They are also known as potatoes,

because of their shape and color. Orokin Catalyst and Reactor blueprints can be obtained from various sources, such as alerts, invasions, sortie rewards, nightwave rewards, or devstream gifts. However, buying them from the market is not recommended, as they cost 20 platinum each and require an orokin cell to craft. You can get orokin catalyst and reactor blueprints much cheaper from other players or from alerts, which offer them occasionally and do not cost any platinum or resources to craft.
