Top 5 Fave Games of 2025

Here is a short list of my favorite games that you can find on Steam! You can play a demo of a few of these before it's release to experience yourself! They're all perfect for streaming and some allow co-op to play with friends.

Solarpunk

Set in a futuristic world with floating islands, and everything runs on green energy! Solarpunk is about exploration and having fun with your friends! You can build, craft, and farm to your heart's content! There's an immersive storyline at play that allows you to unlock new experiences and lore!

• The artistic style of this game is so beautiful and vibrant!
• Craft an airship and use it to explore dozens of unique floating islands!
• Use the three elements of energy; Wind, Sun, and Water to create a reliable power source for all your devices!
• Has all the necessary mechanics for a fantastic cozy game, farming, cooking, building, crafting, and much more!
• Some resources regenerate as you play!
• Can play solo or with friends on online co-op!

Bloomtown: A Different Story

This adorable title mixes Turn=based combat with JRPG features! From monster taming to life sim, play as Emily and her little brother Chester in a 1960s inspired Americana world!

Key Features;

• Gorgeous pixel art style! The devs really did a fantastic job, from the environment, props, and character designs, it all looks so beautiful!
• Explore a spooky town riddled with puzzles, demons, and enticing adventures!
• A deeply mysterious storyline keeps the player invested and engaged in the plot!
• Turn-based combat, a fuse system, tame demons, unique skills, and hundreds of combinations for the most powerful demon-hunting squad.
• Play as Emily or her brother Chester, and pick up new friends along the way!
• Solve the dilemma of the missing townspeople, and save Bloomtown!

Tales of Seikyu

Harness the power of a fox spirit to transform into various creatures to help aid in your progression of the story, uncover the secrets of Seikyu, and the disappearance of your parents!

This is one of the many games I tried out so far this year, and might I say, I am so excited for the full release of this one(2025!). It's giving, inspired by jrpgs from the ps2 era. As I continued to explore the town of Seikyu, I couldn't cease the excitement. The developers did an amazing job, and I cannot wait to see more!

• Combines all the best parts of a farming life sim, including 14 romancable npcs.
• Character art is BEAUTIFUL, graphic style is pretty cute, radiates JRPG in a good way!

• Choose between two different character types, name your character.
• Hunt yokai and use your own powers to invest in farming, combat, and life.
• Experience the changing of the four seasons with different festivals and missions!
• Farm, fish, craft, cook, and much more! (you can raise capybaras!)
• The town of Seikyu is inspired by a mix of rural and modern Japan, the buildings, villagers, and soundtracks really do a fantastic job to immerse you.
• Residents are unique, some being humanoids, and others animals!
• You can PET THE CATS AND DOGS!!!

Palia

Palia is an up-and-coming free-to-play MMO game. The developers, Singularity 6, made it their utmost goal to make this a wonderful masterpiece and it was an honor to be part of the closed beta testing team!

Key Features;

• Entirely free-to-play, you are not obligated to make any purchases, however, there are loads of cute costumes, tool skins, landscapes, pets, and much more that you can buy if you want to show your support!
• Expansive house decorating! You can craft furniture or collect rare pieces through festivals, seasonal events, and more! Can also enter your house into a showroom and earn point to redeem for rewards like nameplate decor!
• Farm and grow a gorgeous garden, you can also collect flower seeds from bug catching that you can plant and place on your land.
• Fishing, bug catching, and hunting! All of these activities allows you opportunity to unlock rare items and rewards, too!
• Romance any of the available NPCs, unlike many other life sim type games, Palia has a diverse and lovable community, much of which are available for love!

Avowed

Another well anticipated game of the year. The excitement I had felt as I continued playing and discovering new things was quite similar to when I had first played through Baulder's Gate 3. Avowed is much like Elder Scrolls if it had been created as a solo player title, and not a subscription based MMO.

• Combat mechanics and weapon effects/actions are really cool, the cinematics are just amazing.
• Love being able to cast spells with the spell book or a wand, and the details are really nice!
• Strong environmental storytelling what you do will shape the way the story unfold before you!
• You will meet many different types of companions to aid you throughout your journey.
• Impressive map and rewarding sense of exploration!
• It's a great game for individuals that want to use their free time to relax, explore a fantastical environment, and fight enemies.
