The Los Santos Drug Wars Update: What Went Right, What Went Wrong
By: A Meep

The Los Santos Drug Wars update is the latest addition to Grand Theft Auto Online, and it's a mixed bag. There are some good things about it, such as the new business, the free mode events, and the fact that it's very noob-friendly. However, there are also some bad things about it, such as the pointless story, the recycled missions, and the lack of character development.
The Good
The new business, the mobile acid lab, is a lot of fun to operate. It's one of the best passive businesses in the game, and the sale missions are some of the most fun in the entire game. The sale missions are all pretty straightforward, but they're also a lot of fun to play. You have to deliver the acid to different locations around the map, and there are always some obstacles in your way. You might have to fight off the cops, or you might have to outrun a rival gang.
The free mode events are also a great addition to the game. They're a lot of fun to play, and they can be a good way to make money. There are a variety of different free mode events, so there's something for everyone. You can rob stores, steal cars, or even participate in a drug deal.
The update is also very noob-friendly. The new business is easy to understand, and the free mode events are all pretty straightforward. This is great for new players who are just starting out in GTA Online.
The Bad
The story is pointless and boring. There's no real character development, and the ending is anticlimactic. The story is just a series of unrelated missions that don't really go anywhere. There's no sense of urgency, and there's no real reason to care about the characters.
The missions are recycled from previous updates. This is especially disappointing considering that Rockstar advertised this as a "massive two-part story." Most of the missions are just reskinned versions of missions that we've already played before.
The characters are one-dimensional and uninteresting. We don't learn anything about them, and we don't care about them. The characters are just cardboard cutouts that don't really add anything to the story.
Overall
The Los Santos Drug Wars update is a mixed bag. There are some good things about it, but there are also some bad things. If you're looking for a new business to operate, or if you're a noob who's looking for some fun new content, then you might enjoy this update. However, if you're looking for a good story, or if you're looking for some new and challenging missions, then you might be disappointed.
Here are some additional thoughts on the update:
I think Rockstar should have focused more on the story. The story is the main selling point of this update, but it's also the weakest part.
I also think Rockstar should have come up with some new missions. The recycled missions are a lazy way to pad out the content.
Finally, I think Rockstar should have developed the characters more. We don't learn anything about them, and we don't care about them.
Overall, I think the Los Santos Drug Wars update is a missed opportunity. It had the potential to be a great update, but it falls short due to the poor story, the recycled missions, and the underdeveloped characters.
**Addendum**
In addition to the bad things I mentioned above, there are a few other things that I didn't like about the update.
The update is very grindy. It takes a long time to make any real money from the mobile acid lab.
The update is very repetitive. The missions are all very similar, and there's not much variety.
The update is very buggy. I've experienced a number of bugs, including one where I got stuck in a wall.
Overall, I'm disappointed with the Los Santos Drug Wars update. It had the potential to be a great update, but it falls short due to a number of flaws. I hope Rockstar will learn from their mistakes and make a better update next time.
In the meantime, I'll be sticking to the Cayo Perico Heist.
P.S.
I'm sure some people will disagree with my assessment of the update. That's fine. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, I think it's important to be honest about the flaws in the update, so that Rockstar can learn from them and make a better update next time.
