Run! Goddess - Iconic Characters

We know the games that are currently trying to ride the anime hype train. That was my thought process as well while trying Run! Goddess. But what I got was a high-speed, parkour-meets-shooter thrill ride. Yeah, it’s as wild as it sounds and is twice as fun.

Available now on both the Play Store and App Store, Run! Goddess throws you straight into chaos after a virus wipes out most of humanity. It’s fast, fun, and packed with action. Each run keeps you on your toes as you dodge, shoot, and unlock powerful upgrades.

If that sounds interesting, let’s dive into this Run Goddess review to see what makes this game one of the most exciting games of 2025.

How Do the Graphics Perform?

One of the most important elements of any game are its graphics. That's the first thing players notice. Even a game with an excellent storyline cannot perform well if it doesn't include high-quality graphics.

When it comes to graphics, Run! Goddess offers excellent visuals that are great to look at.

Whether you are checking different Valkyries and deciding which one to hire, or eliminating zombies on the road, the visual treat doesn't end.

Well-Developed Valkyries

The first thing that hits you right in the beginning of the game are the Valkyries. In fact, you'll find one standing in full glory on the starting screen. Their faces, hair, and costumes look super realistic. Not only that, you'll also find their movements pretty natural, something many game developers struggle to ace.

The Valkyries look straight out of the sci-fi world with their modernistic costumes and lethal weapons that breathe fire and rapid bullets. Their combat actions are fluid and rapid, while their voices are sweet and impressive.

Well-Defined Zombies and Villains

Then come zombies in the Run! Goddess apocalyptic world. They erupt out of the earth as soon as Dawn Bringer and her Valkyries go on a killing spree. The best part about these zombies is how realistic and menacing they look.

Some of them are colored green with their faces visible. Some wear masks and hold guns to kill you. Some are made to look like machines with guns in place of the arms, shooting consistently.

At the end of each battle, you'll encounter a monster. It will be anything from Doctor G to desert monsters and you must defeat them to win the round. They are much bigger than the regular zombies, which is why you need more time to eliminate them.

Legible Icons and Symbols

One of the best things about Run! Goddess that we observed is that the icons and symbols are pretty well-defined and legible. Even the smaller symbols that you add to your arsenal during battles are easily identifiable.

Here is a screenshot of an ongoing battle. As you can see, all the items being added to the repository, from helmets to guns, are easily visible.

Thoughts on Run! Goddess Gameplay

Great graphics aren't enough to make a game successful. You need excellent gameplay that blends well with the overall theme of the title. It unrolls gradually and takes players through different stages of the game, usually with increasing difficulty.

This is the exact philosophy used by Run! Goddess, which incorporates exciting gameplay elements and ensures that players stay hooked throughout.

Gacha System and Character Acquisition

Run! Goddess features a Gacha system, which is a core part of how you acquire new Valkyries and upgrades. The Gacha mechanic lets you spend in-game currency or resources to perform “draws,” which randomly grant you new characters, costumes, or powerful items. This adds an element of chance and excitement as you try to get rare or UR Valkyries.

This Gacha system is essential for progressing in the game because stronger Valkyries and upgraded gear make your team much more effective in battles.

Fire and Combat Mechanics

The first element of the gameplay that needs to be discussed is Fire. It is the pistol icon that appears in the center of the screen. Clicking it would start the battle with zombies. It works on auto-mode, where Valkyries fire bullets automatically and you don't even need to move them.

One the right sight, just above the item box, you can see the Challenge button. Clicking it would launch the real battle where you can move Valkyries around, while they shoot their weapons automatically.

New Costume Releases

One of the best things about Run! Goddess is the range of costumes available for Dawn Bringer and Valkyries. Not only does it have lots of amazing costumes already, but the developer also releases new ones regularly.

Top Games Inc. understands anime fans are crazy about costumes and aesthetics, which is why they have offered a huge variety on their platform.

Feature Optimizations

The developer actively fine-tunes game mechanisms based on community feedback and their own observations. UI improvements, loading time reductions, and quality of life features are frequently added.

Just today when we were about to test this game, there was a new update on Play Store, which shows how well the update system of this game works.

Multi-Level Gameplay

Unlike many mobile games that stick to the same, repetitive levels that get boring quickly, Run! Goddess takes a multi-tiered approach.

Our testing revealed increasing difficulty with every level. Each succeeding battle was tougher than the previous one and our Valkyries struggled with the new difficulty levels. In fact, sometimes all of our Valkyries were killed in the battle because we hadn't upgraded enough for the new battle.

Everything in this game has levels, be it new Valkyries, new missions, or new costumes. It makes the game way more exciting than if it was a repetitive cycle of the same levels.

Tens of Characters

With 22 Valkyries having different looks, characteristics, and capabilities, you can create unique teams and combinations. You aren't stuck with the same combination and characters forever, like many other games.

Instead, pick the Valkyries that you find fit best in your approach and try them out. Even if it doesn't work out, you can always replace them with other Valkyries.

Killing Zombies and Monsters

Killing zombies and monsters in Run! Goddess isn't just about spraying an endless number of bullets. Instead, each encounter demands careful position and use of skills and arms. Some zombies have guns while others attack you with bare hands. Some are spiders that encircle you while others are huge and muscular.

It's not just zombies that are menaces. There are also blue and red rollers that you need to eliminate to get various rewards. They have a number on them, which you need to bring down to zero before they roll over you. Once they reach zero, they explode and you get the reward hidden behind them.

Doctor G appears in secret lab scene

Then there are boss monsters, much more powerful than the regular zombies. They usually have three lives and you need to take all three to completely eliminate the monster.

Usually, the monster comes near you and attacks you with its limbs. However, Doctor G. throws a vicious green chemical that is pretty harmful for Valkyries.

Frequent Official Events

Run! Goddess is packed with many official events that make it more interesting. You must keep an eye on them, as they offer several rewards.

1. Draw Events

The Draw Events mean acquiring new skills and characters by spending in-game resources like coins and currency. These draws are part of the Gacha system that fuels character collection and upgrades.

For instance, an event in March 2025 provided 100 draws every single day with UR Valkyrie, and many other surprises.

2. Daily Tasks

The game offers exciting daily tasks, which you can complete and get rewards. These usually include the following:

  • Fire 25 times
  • Fire 50 times
  • Fire 100 times
  • Challenge the Arena 1 times
  • Clear Raids Intercept Supply Battle 1 and 2 times

Completing these tasks gives you cash, keys, and much more. It also helps you gather resources to level up your Valkyries.

3. New Valkyrie Recruitment

There are 22 Valkyries in the game and all have their unique capabilities. They are divided into three classes:

  • Tank
  • DPS
  • Support

Each class plays a unique role in combat and strategy. Tanks absorb damage and protect your team, DPS characters focus on fast and heavy damage, while Support Valkyries provide healing and buffs.

There is an additional Valkyrie named Aurora, who is captured by the crazy Doctor G. You can rescue her using 3 antidotes you collect after completing multiple missions. The number of antidotes you have used for SSR are displayed on the main screen.

If you want to recruit new Valkyries through the standard method, press the Valkyries button at the bottom left of the home screen.

Tips and Tricks for Run! Goddess

Until now, in this Run Goddess review we’ve covered gameplay and the official events, so now it’s time to explore the tips and tricks. These go a long way in making your gameplay more productive by helping you make the best combinations and killing more zombies.

Best Character Classes and Level Up Strategy

If you want to survive in battle and be the best player there is, make sure to level up your Valkyries on each stage. As you complete missions and use resources, your Valkyries gain experience and level up, increasing their stats and unlocking new abilities.

At higher levels, the Dawn Bringer can specialize further within its class through a three-tier system:

  • Tier I (Level 15): From Battlefield Recruit to Elite Soldier — a simple start.
  • Tier II (Level 30): Choose between Tank (top line), piercing/fast DPS (middle line), or AoE crit (bottom line).
  • Tier III (Level 50): Advanced specialization within the Guardian, Vanguard, and Cannon trees for refined combat strategies.

Run! Goddess Verdict: A Must Try in 2025

After diving deep into its chaotic zombie-filled world, this Run Goddess review comes with a clear verdict; this game is a standout in 2025. The blend of parkour movement , fast-paced shooting, and squad-building makes every session feel rewarding.

If you enjoy mobile games with anime aesthetics, survival themes, and action that keeps your fingers moving, Run! Goddess is a perfect fit. It’s ideal for players who like strategy mixed with speed, and character progression that actually feels meaningful.
