Ranking My 'Animal Crossing' Villagers

Dear Vocal Readers,

Oh, Animal Crossing, how it really has been a lighthouse beam of happiness during these chaotic times. This game has been providing me with memories ever since the original DS version. All the nights I stayed up with Brewster just to see K.K. for a good two minutes are well remembered and cherished. But now we have been blessed with the newest title which has brought all the amazing villagers we have ever known back to us and vamped everything up. The only problem: getting the villagers you want. I know that there are surely characters I am still looking out for *cough* Lily *cough*. But for now I am stuck with 10 villagers; some of whom I love and others I wish to forget. The ones at the bottom of this list know who they are as they have been getting ignored and hit with nets for the past week. You came here for a list though, and now that list shall begin! From worst to best here is my list of Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers.

10) Ken

What can I say, I just never liked him. After building the campsite he was the first visitor which meant I had no choice in bringing him to my island. He's arrogant, and frankly I have a better chicken in my lineup.

One word: Meh

9) Pashmina

There really isn't anything wrong with her, but she rubs me the wrong way. I love her singing and find it damn adorable but that is about all I like. She was one of my original villagers but I have no room in my heart to love her. Sorry girl.

One word: Sassy (the bad kind)

8) Celia

Oh Celia I had such high hopes for you when I invited you to my island, and you have not lived up to my expectations. You are a kind bird yes, but that is all. There is nothing that makes her particularly special and nothing that makes her particularly bad either. She's just, well, there.

One word: Plain

7) Winnie

I'll admit I have no idea why she is a horse with a star on her head but hey it works. I invited her to my island after being intrigued by her look and I'm not necessarily disappointed. She is a sweet girl but her lines are almost the exact same as the person who tops this list, so she's just a poor imitation in comparison.

One word: Okay

6) Flip

He's a real funky monkey that's for sure. His lines have managed to make me laugh and every time he brings up his eight to ten pack abs I crack a smile. He's just got a cute little face. Nothing wrong, but a middle-packer for sure.

One word: Cute

5) Goose

Goose literally wears sunglasses at night. He's the coolest and most confused chicken in the game (I mean look at the name). But I love the irony and he along with Flip is always saying how he will get "swole" and that is just too perfect. He's also my boyfriend's favorite and he would kill me if I put him lower on the list.

One word: Gym-enthusiast

4) Vic

An ox that dresses as a viking. Who comes up with this stuff? Well, either way, I love this guy. He always gives me sass but the good kind you appreciate. He's the most down to earth villager I have but also perhaps the strangest. How could you not love an ox that is also a viking?

One word: Oh?

3) Puck

Little Puck started off as one of my least favorites but worked his way up the chain. The way his arms don't reach each other and yet he still claps is adorable and enduring. Also, the helmet was an awesome touch. Another jock on my island, but by far my favorite.

One word: Carlos (from Big Time Rush)

2) Chevre

I love this sweet little lamb with all my heart. It was such a toss-up between her and my number 1. She reads, and well, just look at her. She warms my heart and always asks questions about what I enjoy and always tries to get to know the other villagers too. She once sent me a letter saying she was lonely and honestly it was cruel to my heart. The true definition of a sweetheart.

One word: ADORABLE

1) Apple

Oh Apple, you are such a weird little thing. She is a bundle of energy and will literally Naruto run all over my island. She wants to be a star but she isn't too arrogant about it. She's short, chubby, and just flat out adorable. This sweetie calls you her best friend and just like Puck she tries her best to clap and it makes me hurt (with laughter). This little creature snuck her way into my heart and there she shall stay. She is never allowed to leave me. Ever! An Apple a day keeps my heart at bay.

There's my list of Animal Crossing villagers ranked from worst to best! Did I hurt your feelings with any of my opinions? Sorry if I did, but let's be honest, there was no question as to who was top dog. Apple tops every list whether she's apart of your island or not. She just wins, period. Now go out and get her if you don't have her! And Chevre too while you're at it, cause who doesn't need two sweeties in their life?
