My 4 Favorite Sims 4 Nature Mods
4 Sims 4 Mods that I feel compliment the upcoming Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature.

EA is coming out with yet another expansion pack for the Sims 4. The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature expansion pack seems to tie both magic and nature together. More so than any of their other nature and magic packs that have been released so far. Even though I do have some negative feelings towards this new pack since like the Sims 4 Love Struck, it seems like a rehash of mods that already exist. I am still somewhat excited for the Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature. Depending on what features will be in the game when it comes out, depends on whether I would get the pack or not. The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature doesn't feel as much of a rehash of pre-existing mods as The Sims 4 Love Struck. Since I feel like it can actually compliment a lot of the pre-existing nature mods. The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature also addresses something that a lot of fans have been asking for, an official fairy occult life state. Here are some mods I think will go well with the upcoming Sims 4 expansion pack, the Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature.
1.Hunting and Foraging Mod by Littlbowbub
This is my most favorite mod that I use with all my homestead and house-less households. It is a mod meant to be used in medieval game play, but it works just fine for players who want their sims to live off the land and visit village like rabbit holes. The mod gives your sims brand new rabbit holes that go perfect with the new Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature expansion pack. The Hunting and Foraging mod is a very extensive mod with many features. Your sim gets four main explore options, the forest, the village, the docks, and the mountain. Within those main options are the actual rabbit holes your sim will disappear to.
The Forest:
- go hunting
- go foraging
- go fishing
- collect firewood
- bathe in stream
- fish for friend
- pick flowers
- look for frogs
The Village:
- Farmer's Market
- Meat Market
- Village Shoppe
- Herbalist Shoppe
- Market Day
- the village physician
- worship the watcher
- the wandering minstrel
- book fair
- theater
- play skittles
- pumpkin picking
The Docks:
- go deep sea fishing
- collect sea water
- Fisherman's Market
The Mountain:
- mine for salt
- mine for crystals
- mine for metals
Littlbowbub does have a lot of other mods homestead related mods such as bread making and homemade ingredients.
2.Preserving Skill by BrazenLotus
BrazenLotus is another modder who has a large number of mods that go well with homesteading. Which perfectly goes well with the Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature expansion pack. This mod makes it so your sim can start preserving all sorts of foods. Such as dried apricots and fish jerky. The only thing about this mod is that it is just the preserving skill. In order to utilize it, you will need to download BrazenLotus' other mods that preserve, but the site does link all the preserving mods that go along side the skill mod. This mod is perfect for the winter time when your homestead household's crops are dormant.
3.Expanded Plantsims by SpinningPlumbobs
EA is updating Plantsims in the Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature, but I really love this Plantsim mod. Your Plantsims are not only permanently a Plantsim, but they can also gain all sorts of powers by gaining ability points and using them to gain perks. There is a limited number of perk slots, so one Plantsim can't have it all. This system works similar to the skill tree available for Vampires and Werewolves. Except there is no skill tree for this mod, but the idea is similar. You can also turn your Plantsim into a mushroom type plant (Myconid) or a tree type plant (Spriggan). There is even an introduction to Mother Nature who your sims can bring offerings to and she may even reward you overtime. My favorite part of this mod is the baby Plantsim since it is very similar to the Sims 3's baby Plantsim. Sims get a seed that they plant and it grows and becomes a baby Plantsim. In the Plantsims Expanded mod, you get your seed from Mother Nature as a reward. It's actually difficult and time consuming to do without cheating. So it is a lot easier to make a baby Plantsim in the Sims 3. There is a lot more features that I did not mention here, but you can make all kinds of different Plantsims. Kind of like how you can have all kinds of different plants. Even though this is an occult mod. In the Sims 4 game, sims will recognize these types of Plantsims as regular non-occult sims. This doesn't normally mess with game play its just something to note. It does leave room to make a hybrid Plantsim using an official EA occult. I am pretty sure it's not intended, but it is possible to do. I have done so before with one of my Plantsims. I didn't experience any negative repercussions, but you always want to be careful when playing with hybrids in the Sims 4.
4.Fairies vs Witches Mod by SpinningPlumbobs
I honestly did not think the Sims 4 would ever come out with fairies. Now that EA has announced that the Sims 4 will now be a long term ongoing project. Fairies are completely possible and will arrive with the upcoming Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature expansion pack. This mod gives you fairies and witches in the Sims 4. I am only focusing on the fairy portion of this mod. Since I honestly have never tried out the witches in this mod. You will need the Sims 4 Realm of Magic game pack in order to use this mod. Your fairy sims can learn skills such as flying, spells, and alchemy. You can make all sorts of cool portions as well as cast spells on other sims. Fairies must also choose their power source from a selection of power sources. Some of the power sources are wind, flora, crystals, and plasma. If their power source comes from crystals, the fairy must extract the energy from the crystals they find in the world. This mod even makes use of the hidden lot, Slyvan Glade where the Ethereal Guardian resides. The Ethereal Guardian will give your sim a mini quest that will help them become a fairy. Their is a good and evil alignment that is sort of reminiscent of the Sims 2 Apartment Life's witch occult. Just know that if you cheat your sims needs, it'll also move your fairy's alignment all the way to good since the alignment is located in the needs panel. Like the Plantsims mod, this mod has a ton of other features for fairies. Another thing to note is that sims do not recognize this modded fairy life state as occult. It isn't something that should mess with your game play. Like the Plantsims mod you can mix this fairy state with an official EA occult, but the modder does warn not to mix it with an occult that has an orb because it will clash with the fairy orb.
The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature does have features and game play that a lot of fans have been asking for. Fairies being a big one since it was an occult life state that was available in the Sims 3 Supernatural. Despite some of the negative comments I've seen online about having the Plantsim update behind a paywall, I still think I might actually get the Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature. I feel like the mod does compliment a lot of mods that I use in the Sim 4 which does include the 4 mods I mentioned here. The mods on this list are very extensive mods with many features and folders that you could have to organize into your Sims 4 mod folder. Just make sure you have all the mod files in your mods folder no more than one folder deep.
