How to Master the New Atlas Tree in PoE 3.27 for Maximum Profit
The Guide of How to Master the New Atlas Tree in PoE 3.27 for Maximum Profit

Path of Exile’s Atlas has always been at the heart of each league. With the 3.27 “Rising Tide” update, the game introduces a fresh Atlas tree, new Kirac missions, and a revamped scarab system. To turn your league experience into a profitable journey, you’ll need a solid three-phase strategy. This approach focuses on fast early-game progress, mid-league density farming, and late-game scarab optimization. By the end of each phase, you’ll have earned a consistent stream of PoE 1 Currency, enhancing your gameplay.
Phase 1: Early League – Fast Setup (0–100 Atlas Points)
The first phase focuses on rapid map progression and gearing up for later stages. Speed is crucial here to get to red maps and unlock the key mechanics.
1.1. Unlock Kirac’s Missions
Kirac’s missions are your early-game power boost. They guarantee extra map drops and speed up your progress to red maps.
Focus on unlocking his Extra Missions and Red Map Boost nodes.
These nodes help you accumulate maps faster and keep your gear progression steady.
1.2. Early Gear – Jun’s Crafting
Jun’s Betrayal nodes unlock essential crafting options. Use them to upgrade your early weapons and gear.
Crafting Fundamentals helps you improve your gear for minimal cost.
Focus on upgrading low-level uniques like Soul Taker or Vaal Lightning Strike for quick leveling and map clears.
1.3. Shaping the Atlas
Shaping nodes like Shaping the Abyss give you a higher chance of upgrading maps to higher tiers, ensuring better map drops.
1.4. Unwavering Vision Keystone
This keystone provides 20 free Atlas points, helping you progress quickly without feeling the early-game resource crunch.
By the end of Phase 1, you should have completed about 5–10 red maps and earned around 0.5–1 Divine per 5 maps, mainly from Essence drops and low-tier scarabs.
Phase 2: Mid-League – Consistent Profit (100–130 Atlas Points)
In this phase, you’ve unlocked red maps and can begin focusing on low-investment mechanics that provide reliable profit.
2.1. Essence Farming
Essence farming offers high returns for little investment. Use Prolific Essence and Amplified Energies to farm high-value essences.
Tier 6 Essences can sell for around 1 Divine each.
Focus on T6 maps for easy access to high-quality essences.
2.2. Ritual & Beyond – High-Density Farming
These nodes increase the number of monsters on maps, leading to more loot.
Ritual Altars guarantee altars on every map, while Beyond increases mob density.
The combination of these nodes can yield 1–2 Divine per 2 maps.
2.3. Eldritch Altars – Boss Loot
Once you hit red maps, Eldritch Altars become important. These nodes increase the chances of high-value drops, such as scarabs and fragments from Elder or Shaper bosses.
Run maps with high altar spawn rates, like Vinktar Square, to maximize your loot.
Phase 3: Late-Game – Scarab Farming and Tier-17 Content (130+ Atlas Points)
Once you're deep into the league, it's time to focus on high-reward farming. This phase centers around scarab farming, Tier-17 maps, and elite bosses.
3.1. Specialize in High-Yield Mechanics
Farming mechanics like Legion or Harvest provide high returns.
Legion farming yields Splinters that can be sold for 0.5–1 Divine each.
Harvest farming offers useful crafting materials and occasionally valuable Harvest scarabs.
3.2. Scarab Optimization – Turning Scarabs into Divine Orbs
Scarabs are essential to late-game profits. Nodes like Trapping Carapaces increase the chance for Ambush scarabs to be Tier 17, which are worth a lot of currency.
Scarabs of the Deep improve the drop rate of valuable scarabs.
Running Tier-16–17 maps with these nodes increases your Divine Orb earnings to 2–4 per map, with occasional Exalted Shards from high-tier scarabs.
3.3. Tier-17 Maps – The Jackpot
Tier-17 maps are where the big rewards are. Nodes like Tier-17 Booster increase your chance of dropping Tier-17 maps.
These maps have higher rarity and item quantity, meaning more loot.
Use Scarabs of the Deep to guarantee higher mob density and more drops.
3.4. Destructive Play – Boss Farming
The Destructive Play keystone increases the chance for map bosses to spawn additional elite packs. This can lead to significant loot boosts.
Using a boss-centric skill, such as Cyclone, can help you maximize loot from these extra packs.
