How I Earned My First $160 by Testing Games

For as long as I can remember, gaming has been a big part of my life. I’ve spent countless hours playing, exploring, and even spotting bugs in different games. But until recently, I never thought I could actually earn money doing what I love. After years of seeing claims about making money through gaming, I finally found a legitimate way to do it—and I earned my first $160!

In this blog, I’ll break down my experience, how I got started, and how you can do it too.

What is Game Testing?

Game testers play a crucial role in the gaming industry. They test new games before they are released, report issues, and provide feedback on overall gameplay. If you’ve ever encountered a bug and thought, “Someone needs to fix this!”—that’s exactly what game testers help with. The best part? You get paid for it!

Unlike professional game development jobs, many testing opportunities are open to anyone with a passion for gaming. You don’t need advanced technical skills—just patience, attention to detail, and a willingness to follow instructions.

How I Got Started

The process was surprisingly simple: Downloaded the App: I signed up for a game-testing platform that connects testers with projects.

Created an Account: A quick sign-up with basic details. Started Testing: After browsing through available tasks, I selected one that caught my interest.

The assignments vary—some involve playing and reviewing games, while others focus on different testing aspects, such as surveys or feedback on game mechanics.

The Task That Earned Me $160 One of the most interesting tasks I completed was called the Emotions Recorder. It wasn’t your typical game test where you just play and report bugs. Instead, I had to record myself reading scripted lines while expressing different emotions. If a character was sad, I had to sound sad; if they were excited, I had to bring that energy.

At first, it felt a bit unusual, but after going through the instructions, it became easier. The task took about eight hours in total, spread over five days. Once I completed it, I submitted my recordings for review.

Payment Process – Was It Worth It?

A week later, I received my payment—$160—deposited directly into my XTRM Wallet. For those unfamiliar, XTRM is a secure online wallet used for digital payments. There were no hidden fees or deductions, and the process was smooth.

Seeing the payment in my account felt incredible. Not only was it rewarding to complete the task, but it also proved that making money through gaming is possible if you find the right opportunities.

Is Game Testing Worth It?

Absolutely! While it won’t replace a full-time income, game testing is a great way to earn extra cash while doing something enjoyable. Plus, as you gain experience, you can qualify for higher-paying assignments.

If you’re patient and willing to follow instructions, this is an exciting opportunity to explore. Whether you’re testing gameplay mechanics, reporting bugs, or even voice recording, there’s always something new to try.Would you give game testing a shot? Let me know your thoughts!
