U4GM Diablo 4 Season 11: The Tower Beta Is Coming Soon

The Tower has arrived in Diablo 4 during Season 11 as a fast-paced beta feature that puts skill and speed front and center, giving players a real shot at leaderboard recognition. It goes live on January 12 at 11 a.m. PST alongside patch 2.5.2 and is available in the Seasonal Realm once you reach Season Rank 2. From there, you can access it through the Artificer's Obelisk in Cerrigar. The beta leaderboard competition is split into two rounds, with Round 1 running from January 12 at 11:00 a.m. PST to January 26 at 11:00 a.m. PST, followed immediately by Round 2 from January 26 at 11:00 a.m. PST through February 9 at 11:00 a.m. PST.

The moment you enter, a ten-minute timer starts counting down. You're pushed through five randomized floors filled with different enemy types, and progress is earned by killing monsters as efficiently as possible. Elites, Champions, and Treasure Goblins are especially valuable since they drop orbs that rapidly fill the progress bar. Along the way, you'll also find destructible towers that spawn Pylons when broken. These Pylons provide powerful buffs like increased damage, faster movement, or reduced cooldowns, and with four guaranteed per run, smart Pylon usage often determines whether a run feels smooth or stressful.

Once the progress bar is full, a Tower Guardian boss appears. Some problematic bosses have been temporarily removed for the beta, which helps keep runs consistent. Defeating the boss within the time limit completes the run and records your result on the leaderboard, based on both the tier you cleared and how fast you finished. Anything less than a full clear doesn't count, so pushing the rankings usually means repeating runs, refining routes, and cutting down wasted movement until everything clicks.

Leaderboards are a major focus of this mode. Solo players are split by class, covering Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue, Sorcerer, and Spiritborn, while group play is divided into two-, three-, and four-player categories. Rankings can be checked directly at the Obelisk or through the Collections menu, with filters for platform, difficulty, friends, and clan members Diablo 4 Items. Each leaderboard entry shows the tier cleared, completion time, and date, and everything resets on a two-week cycle to keep competition active and fair throughout the season.

Doing well in The Tower favors builds that can deliver strong single-target damage quickly rather than relying on slow area clears. The layouts and enemy behavior punish hesitation, especially with updated monster mechanics that can stack dangerous effects if you're not careful. While popular meta builds like Spiritborn or Necromancer perform well, solid movement, clean positioning, and good cooldown management often matter more than raw stats. Players who learn enemy patterns and Pylon timing can still compete even with off-meta setups.

Group runs bring their own advantages, but only if the team is well coordinated. Assigning who grabs Pylons, managing orb drops efficiently, and syncing damage during boss fights can lead to much faster clears than solo attempts. Many groups also prefer running during quieter hours to avoid lag affecting their times. Although the beta doesn't offer major rewards yet, milestone clears hint at future cosmetics and progression systems, which gives competitive players a reason to push hard early on.

The Tower feels like a glimpse into the future of Diablo 4's endgame. It blends the pressure and replayability of classic ladder content with modern, randomized chaos, rewarding players who enjoy optimizing runs and chasing better times. Whether you're climbing solo or with a full party, mastering The Tower now puts you in a strong position to dominate the leaderboards before Season 11 comes to an end.
