Brace Yourselves...A New Console Is Coming in 2025

What you need to know about the Analogue 3D

By Mark Wesley Pritchard Published about a year ago 3 min read

A new year means a new game console is set to be released. I was recently tagged in a Instagram post by a friend regarding the Analogue 3D. At first, I thought it was fake and couldn't be real. As a creator on Vocal, I make sure I verify everything to make sure the facts and a story are 100% accurate. So yes, what you see above is an actual console.

Here's what you need to know about the Analogue 3D:

1. When will it be released?

According to an article on GameSpot, the Analogue 3D is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2025 (around sometime in the spring). Pre-orders began on October 21 and is likely to sell out quickly. However, when a game console is all the rave, scalpers and selfish individuals take the opportunity to buy multiple consoles and then turn around to jack up the price of them, making them unaffordable to those who want one. As I've stated in my last story about retro gaming, this is why we can't have nice things. It's because of people like them, it ruins the experience for others. I believe that people who buy multiple consoles and raise the prices of them online to unsuspecting individuals should be banned for life from doing this practice. I believe that it's a disgusting and deceptive way to take advantage of people's desperation. I hope they limit this upcoming game console to one per person or household. That way, it'll make the process fair. I wish this was done from jump when the NES Classic, Sega Genesis Mini, and SNES Classic came out. The Analogue 3D is compatible with all Nintendo 64 games.

2. What the hardware for the Analogue 3D is like?

Here is a list of the hardware below:

• Two USB ports / charging / wired support

• SD card slot including a 16GB SD card

• Dualband Wi-Fi with OTA wireless

• 3DO S updating

• Bluetooth Classic and LE

• Four original-style controller ports

• Up to four players supported (wireless & wired)

• 8BitDo 64 Controller updating via Analogue3 D System (wired)

• 3DO S (4K)

• 220k LE Intel Cyclone 10GX

The Bluetooth controller by 8BitDo, will be sold separately for $40. It's compatible with the Nintendo Switch, Windows, and Android. You can preorder these controllers on Amazon. However, if you would like to use your old Nintendo 64 controller, you can do that. In case you don't have one, you can either purchase one online or at your local gaming store.

3. What colors do the Analogue 3D console come in?

They come in only two colors: white and black.

4. How much is the Analogue 3D?

The retail price of it will cost you $250. No, this is not a typo. Once again, it'll be released sometime in the spring of 2025.

I've never paid that exact amount on a game console. The most I've ever paid for such was when the Blue Xbox 360 came out in September 2014 and it was close to $200. My birthday was a couple of months away and wanted one so bad. I ended up getting that and my first Xbox 360 game, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. The game, which was released in November 2014, was the eleventh installment of the series. It was the very first Call of Duty game I've ever played and took me at least a week to complete. As far as if I'll ever purchase the Analogue 3D, right now, it's 50/50. However, if I were to purchase one, that would be great and will write a review of it on Vocal. I'll keep everyone updated.

Let me know if you're planning on buying the Analogue 3D console. Also, I'll have the link to Analogue's website down below so you can check it out. Your tips will support creators like me and will encourage me to write more stories.
