Basics of creating Sims shows

Throughout the years since the second installment of the Sims series, people have been using the popular pc video game more than just for leisurely fun, they were creating shows with animations from the game, sometimes with added voice overs. The were also other people who are either talented or has experience or training on graphic designs, computer graphics and animations, creating their own custom content to display for downloads online. Useful for creators to customize the details of their shows like hairstyles, clothes, props, location, designs, textures, poses, and animations. Some shows from soap operas to movies, sitcoms to commercials are all posted on social media, like Youtube and Facebook. For those who are interested in taking this experience as as a creator of your Sims shows (whether you're using Sims 2, Sims 3 or Sims 4), I will give you the basics broken down.

First, you have to have good content to make a good show. Catchy titles, memorable characters, lines that makes characters popular, mesmerizing locales and of course, action, drama and dialogue. Also, you will make up plots and scenes that are explosive and jaw dropping to your potential viewers, scenes that will capture the audience's attention so much that they willing to tell to their friends and family about it. Those scenes are useful for commercials to promote your show. You have to play the screenwriter, the storyteller, the animator, the producer, the make-up and hair artist, costume designer, the director, the camera person, sound and special effects person and voice over actor (or you can either hire professionals or volunteers to help you with voice over work. Make sure you put their names on the credits, opening or closing). Virtually, you will have to wear many hats, but the process is not as complicated as you think. But if you want to, you can ask your friends to help you put the show together. For example, maybe you know somebody in your neighborhood who is good at computer graphics, or perhaps your family member has the know how on video editing or you got a neighbor who is talented musician who can create original music for you. You can also hire people to help you as well, but be aware that you have to pay them for their services. Second, you will need more than just a computer for animation, creating characters, props and locations, you will need a couple of notebooks with lots of paper to write your stories, scenes, scenarios, character backgrounds, and recording new ideas for your upcoming show in the future. Third, you will need a home recording studio equipment for voice overs and sound recording (equipment doesn't have to be studio professional, but if you have a low budget equipment consisting of recording console, mixer and microphones that are fully functional, can connect to your computer through UBS cables and can produce good sound quality, then you're good to go). Fourth, you will need a video editing program (software or online) for pasting your video clips together, adding audio (voice overs, sound effects and music), texts for show titles and credits, and special effects for your show.

The project will take time and patience, also precision and creativity. Remember, details and originality are key. You can do a Sims parody of some your favorite or popular shows (make sure to get permission first). The whole ideas is to to set up a blueprint with work sheets of questionnaires that will guide you to create great scenes, explosive scenarios, and unique characterization in order to create dramatic plots for great stories of your Sims show. And have fun with it, let your imagination run free. After all, this is your Sims show.
