Can deceased relatives appear in dreams to warn you of another loved one's impending death?
Two stories that may make you think twice about the subject.
Does God give warnings in dreams?
I have heard stories all of my life of people who said they saw deceased loved ones before they passed away. Until recently, I had not heard about anyone dreaming that a deceased member of the family warned them that another relative would soon die.
This article explores that topic, but does not endorse trying to talk to the dead. This is about two random incidents where women had dreams that someone they knew who had passed away alerted them that another loved one would die. There is a biblical account of something similar taking place, which is used to dissuade people from seeking to communicate with the dearly departed.
The Bible tells us in I Samuel that King Saul no longer heard the voice of God and desired answers. He had put the witches/mediums out of the land, but was told there was one nearby in Endor. He said he wanted to talk to the prophet, and a form that appeared to be Samuel came out of the ground.
The apparition asked why the king had disturbed him and said that Saul and his sons would be with him the next day. King Saul and his sons died the following day in battle. Some scholars say Samuel's spirit would have been in heaven and not underneath the ground. They suggest this was a familiar spirit that tricked the king.
I want to emphasize that the biblical king sought out someone to conjure spirits, which led to disastrous results. To the best of my knowledge, the women featured in the stories you are about to read were not actively seeking answers; instead, they experienced random prophetic dreams.
Warnings that death is near
A recent episode of Dateline reminded me of something that happened in my own family. I share the two stories for readers to ponder, and I offer no explanations either for or against what was reported.
My late brother's son, "Mike", was hospitalized during this past summer with bleeding in the brain that led to a coma. The family remained hopeful he would wake, but one day, his mother sent me a message that suggested otherwise. She said that her sister had a dream about my brother.
She said he came to her and told her not to worry about Mark because he would be with him soon. About a week later, my nephew passed away. ?Why did my brother not appear to the mother of his son, rather than her sister? I have no idea, I only repeat the tale.
Cari Farver's story
This incident came to mind when I watched the Dateline episode about Cari Farver. She disappeared, and her family began receiving text messages, but never saw her again.
Cari's mother, Nancy, said she had a feeling her daughter was deceased, and later it was confirmed in a dream. She said her ex-husband, Cari's father, appeared to her and told her not to worry because Cari was with him. She told investigators who continued following their leads, and later it was reported that Cari had been murdered.
There are no scientific answers
I have asked opinions, and some people say angels bring the messages disguised as loved ones because not everyone can handle an angelic visitation. Others say they are skeptical and don't believe the dead communicate with the living. A different viewpoint is that such dreams are Satanic.
I hope this article helps anyone else who has experienced such an encounter to realize they are not alone. Some things cannot be explained, and because they don't happen to the masses, they are debunked by society at large.

I have written about this. My mother came in a dream citing two people who died within a week after the dream. These are occurrences which we will never fully understand. Bu it happens.
