Walt Disney Executive Shares New Pictures Of The Upcoming Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Two Night Resort Experience
Do You Want To Go?

Disney World is home to some of the most magical experiences on earth and their newest addition, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, is now nearing completion on Disney's newest resort. When Galaxy’s Edge was announced, Disney touted a new Star Wars-themed resort for the parks, the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.
Scheduled to open sometime in 2021, Star Wars fans and Disney resort goers have anticipated the luxury hotel’s opening with great excitement. With just a small initial release of information regarding the new hotel, fans have anxiously waited to find out more.
Jeff Vahle, President Of Walt Disney World Resorts, recently went on a tour of the new Star Wars resort rooms and shared a couple of pictures on his Instagram page.
The rooms look fantastic and accurately depicts what it looks like to lounge inside a massive Starcruiser, just like in the movies. Looking at those pictures will bring out your inner Tina Fey:
To celebrate this excellent news, it would do us all some good to go over some fun facts about the resorts, look at some more pictures of the things we can experience at the resort, and maybe even slip in some gratuitous Spaceballs jokes, we will see.
*Warning* Reading this will make you more anxious to vacation, Star Wars style, at this fantastic resort.
To start, let us look at what awaits you as you enter the resort.

Once you arrive at the terminal, you climb into a Launch Pod and send yourself up into space to dock with The Halcyon. I assume this is just an elevator, but I want it to be real, and I want to race Mel Brooks for the last pod—Spaceballs joke number 1.

Once you dock with The Halcyon, The Atrium awaits with warm welcomes from the crew and other passengers. Sure, you are only checking in but keep an eye out for any Imperial spies who may have infiltrated the ship looking for Grogu.

Here is where it gets real, The Bridge. If you have never flown a Battlecruiser before, get ready for a crash course! Do not worry; the experienced crew is right there to help you in case you put the ship into ludicrous speed or if the radar gets jammed, especially if it is raspberry—Spaceballs joke number 2 and number 3.

So you have guided the ship past all dangers and are cruising at a nice, comfortable speed. Now you need something to do with your time. How about a lightsaber skills test? The resort offers their best replica of the tests Luke Skywalker was put through by Obi-Wan Kenobi while traveling on the Millenium Falcon. Who knows, if you do well enough, you can take a midi-chlorian test and be on your way to the Jedi Academy.

After all the excitement of flying ships and wielding lightsabers, you will be thirsty, so head on down to The Silver C Lounge. A place for passengers of all ages, The Silver C Lounge offers up the finest beverages this side of Tatooine. Keep your eyes open, and your blaster charged, just in case you need to shoot first.

Now that you are hydrated and lightsaber trained you are probably still looking for another adventure. Head on over to The Engineering Room. The Engineering Room offers passengers a place to check out the ship's inner workings and allows you to work alongside the crew. Watch where you put your hands though, you might turn the ship from blow to suck, and the people of Druidia will not be pleased—Spaceballs joke number 4.

Finally, you are tired and need to rest. Going to your very own Passenger Cabin will help you get the relaxation you desire. With each cabin featuring its own window that allows you to look out into space and view beautiful ships along with other galactic sights, your Star Wars experience maintains its immersion all the way to bedtime.
Also, I would set my room safe combination to 1234—the last Spaceballs joke, I swear.
As you can see, the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Resort is going to be an incredible experience.
