The next morning, I got ready for school. I ate breakfast and then went out and waited for the bus. When it came, I sat in the front behind the bus driver. I didn't see Sai on the bus, either. When I arrived at school, I noticed that the High school was big and colorful. The school was very diverse, and had a lot of people. I went straight into the office to get my schedule. When I walked out, I ran into Sai by the lockers talking to his friends. "Oh hey, Bonnie," He said. He turned his head to his friends saying,"I'll see you guys later, I'm going to show the new girl around." They all gave him a smirk and walked away. I showed him my schedule and he said, "You have Mr. Heckerman's class first. I had him last year. He's an okay teacher, but try not to get on his bad side. He easily gets mad. Oh, and we both have fifth period together."
We walked down a few halls to get to first period. "Well, here we are. If you need anything today, just ask me, okay?" I smiled and said,"Okay." I was smiling so hard that my jaw started to hurt. He even gave me a small smile before walking away.
I entered the classroom and went straight for the teachers desk. "Oh, you must be Bonnie Thomas," the teacher said. "Yes sir" I said in a low tone. "You can sit in that empty seat right there in the front." I sat down next to this girl with long dark brown hair and blue eyes. She wore a short white dress, with a blue jean jacket, and a mini strap purse was hanging on the chair. She smiled at me. "Hi, I'm Maddison, and these are my friends, Chloe and Bree." Chloe had short blonde hair and hazel eyes. Bree had long red hair and dark green eyes. I felt a little nervous sitting next to them. "Nice to meet you guys, I'm Bonnie." "Oooh, pretty name, where are you from Bonnie?" Maddison said while examining my clothes. "Billings, Montana," I said nervously. "Hmm," She continued to smile at me, but I got the feeling that her personality was fake. "You should hang out with us." "Okay," I said a little to quickly. The tardy bell rang, and we began class.
After a long and boring forty-five minute class, Maddison and her friends walked with me to second period. "I think I'm going to like you Bonnie." Maddison was taller than I was. I was 5'6" and she was about 5'9". She walked with confidence, and her skinny long legs got the attention of everyone. "Oh no"she whispered. "What?" I asked. "It's my ex Miguel, the one with the jersey, he's coming this way." "He was tall and muscular with dark brown hair and brown eyes. Miguel stopped and grabbed her arm to pull her to the side. “Maddison, come here for..." "Get your hands off me!" She interrupted. He continued, "can we just talk for a second." "Miguel, I have nothing to say to you. You cheated on me, and we are done!" "Maddie, I know what I did, and that it was wrong, and I'm really sorry." She rolled her eyes. "I want you back Maddie, she was nothing compared to you." "No!" She shouted while drawing attention in the hall ways. “You never should have cheated on me, sense you're saying you want me so badly. Besides I won't waste my time on someone like you. I can find someone who treats me way better than you did." "Who?" He asked. “Someone like, Sai Bhandari." She said. Sai? I hoped she meant some other Sai, and not the Sai I have a crush on. "Aww man, not him, are you serious?" Miguel said. "You're just mad that the coach likes him better than you." Maddison Said. "What? I'm the best player on the team!" She rolled her eyes again. "Don't be so full of yourself, everyone knows you suck." She tried to move past him but he stopped her again then said, "Maddie, lets try this one more time, I'll make it up to you." She laughed at him. "You're pathetic." Chloe and Bree laughed along with her. Miguel looked at the ground feeling embarrassed. I kind of felt bad for him. Maddison didn't stop there, she took the cap off of his head and threw it on the ground and then kicked it. Then the three of them walked away, and I followed them, shamelessly. I wasn't for sure if I could continue behind them, because I was still feeling bad for Miguel. I started to walk slower, to distance myself, but she looked back at me and said, "are you coming?”
