The theme of this year's TOURISM Fair is "Intelligent Innovation for the Future -- Serving the High-quality Development of Tourism". An intelligent tourism exhibition area is specially set up, and the "Intelligent Tourism Innovation and Development Forum" will be held.

The press conference also introduced the preparations for key supporting events such as the Forum on International Tourism Exchange and Cooperation under the Framework of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the Forum on China-Laos Railway Promoting the Building of an Asian Community with a Shared Future.

In December 2021, the China-Laos railway will open, enabling the two countries to travel from Kunming to Vientiane in just 10 hours. It is in this context that the China-Laos Railway Forum on Building an Asian Community with a Shared Future has emerged.

In this context, THE Tourism Fair has set up a "Forum for International Tourism Exchange and Cooperation under the Framework of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership agreement (RCEP)".

Yang Jinsong, director of the Institute of International Studies of China Tourism Academy, the organizer of the Forum, said that the forum aims to build a communication and dialogue platform for tourism exchanges and cooperation under the RCEP framework. Chinese and foreign participants will have useful discussions on how RCEP partners can enhance the competitiveness of trade in tourism services, promote investment, build tourist destinations, explore markets and optimize supply chains, so as to create new space for tourism cooperation between RCEP partners.
