A decade ago, the world was mostly still analog, and largely organized around the product. If you wanted to communicate with someone, you had to call them on the phone. If you wanted to watch a show, you had to watch it when it was on TV. At the time, the cell phone was an expensive luxury that only a handful of people had. Now, we’re living in a digital world. We’re relying on our phones for everything. And there are so many things we can do with them .

What is Technology ?

Simply put, technology is the stuff that keeps the world going. For example, the main technology used by Uber is a smartphone. Google uses it to help search the web. And so do I, to look up the lyrics to that song I just heard. But the latest technology changes almost as fast as the next thing. Let’s look at how the world is changing. In 1999, you used a corded phone. Now, you use your phone for pretty much everything. In 2000, the internet still felt like science fiction. Now, it’s all around us. In 2000, the average internet speed was one megabit per second. Today, it’s ten times faster. In 1999, people used landlines more than wireless. Now, about half of us have Laptops and every one has a Smartphone and most of us use Internet.

Digital Productivity

We can communicate instantaneously, store information digitally, listen to the entire world’s music collection on our phone, have movies or TV shows sent to us from our friends, and so much more. And it’s only getting more convenient and more useful. Mobile Technologies Mobile technology has transformed virtually every aspect of our lives. When you think about it, it’s rather incredible how much of our lives is now changing thanks to mobile technology. Consider what mobile technology means to the way we communicate: • We text message friends. • We take photos and videos. • We read articles or listen to music on our phones. • We listen to music with ear buds. • We watch YouTube on our phones. • We listen to podcasts.

Social Media

A decade ago, Facebook was almost unheard of. Now, it’s our primary form of communication with our friends and family. Before, people usually called or wrote letters and sent letters in the mail. But now, we can text, message, and even video chat. It’s much more convenient and often much cheaper. Texting, however, is one of the least technologically advanced methods of communication. While Facebook and Instagram are a lot more popular and heavily developed than they were 10 years ago, it’s unclear whether or not texting will be around in 10 more years. And as time goes on, it becomes increasingly important to communicate online with your peers in order to stay connected.

How Technology Affects Lives

The world is constantly evolving. In just the last month, new technologies have been announced that are going to revolutionize the world. And this isn’t going to stop anytime soon. Let’s take a look at a few of the latest changes in technology that are going to have a dramatic impact on our lives in the near future. An Update on the World’s Most Advanced Surveillance System Last week, the North Korean government released new images of its capabilities. And the following footage gives you an idea of what we’re talking about: The satellite North Korea recently launched is significantly more powerful than the radar that was used to track objects in the aftermath .

Technological changes

I remember in the early days of the iPhone (when the App Store was launched), a thought crossed my mind that may have scared a lot of people at the time. I thought: “These Apps are going to replace people!” That was the first time I realized just how much power apps had – and would continue to have – over our lives. The global mobile phone market is valued at $606 billion . Of that $606 billion, $443.9 billion (or 96.7%) is made up of smartphone sales. 1 There are over 3.2 billion people on the planet that have a phone, making up approximately 90% of the world’s population. With this many people with mobile phones, we’re becoming increasingly connected. There are countless ways we’re becoming more and more integrated with our world.

The influence of technology

Today, everyone with a smartphone can share their location and broadcast information. The internet allows us to browse and search instantly, no matter where we are. We can even make our own music, thanks to the iTunes store, or share a digital photo instantly. That’s a lot of stuff we can do now with our phones. It’s also a lot of information that people can share. Every time we take a photo, upload a video, or send an email, we are changing the way the world sees us. That’s why creating a personal brand has become a necessity. How to build a personal brand Building a personal brand isn’t easy. It takes dedication, hard work, and consistency. And you need to be prepared for people to know you by your image.

The impact of technology

A new way of doing things, versus a better way of doing things. Gone are the days of the humble item. These days, products change at a staggering rate, and people adapt to what’s out there quickly. The best apps last few months. New versions are released with new features every month. What’s more, this applies to more than just consumer goods. People adapt to new technology because it affects their way of life. Take the television for example. New technologies are introduced to the market all the time. The latest one is 3D television. Soon, it will be one of the fastest-selling devices in history. Instead of merely saying “oh I like the 3D aspect”, you’ll be saying “wow I can watch games in 3D, or at the cinema”.

Conclusion

By now, you’re probably aware that technology is a powerful tool. It’s become so ingrained in our lives that we sometimes overlook its role in our economy, the state of our cities, and the state of the planet. I used to think technology was going to make everything better. But I’ve learned that the more we depend on it, the more we have to lose. Technology is a big Boom to the Nation until it is used in a right way . So , it is on us to use the technology properly .
