Ever since Star Wars: The Old Republic has premiered, it has released cinematic trailers for fans to enjoy. These beautiful short videos typically showcase compelling characters and storylines to further entice fans both new and old to explore the world of this MMORPG. Fans of Star Wars: The Old Republic will be excited to hear that the developers just dropped a beautiful cinematic trailer for the game's 10th anniversary. This will be the 6th cinematic installment that shows fans an in-depth view of the game's storyline. Betrayed was the last cinematic trailer that was released way back in 2016. So, the release of this trailer has been a long-coveted one.

The release of the cinematic trailer, Disorder, follows the story of a Twi'lek Padawan Sa'harr Kateen and her Jedi Master Denolm Orr. The trailer was produced in conjunction with Industrial Light & Magic, a VFX house, the people behind the original Star Wars films. In the trailer, they are on a quest to find a special Holocron. Unfortunately, their attempts are futile as Darth Malgus comes into play, and the Jedi Padawan is tempted by the dark side.

The trailer ends with the characters fading to black and the name of the new DLC Legacy of the Sith appearing on screen. This trailer showcases just how much Star Wars: The Old Republic has come from its first cinematic trailer, Deceived, first released in July of 2009. Which, as it happens, also showcases Darth Malgus and shares similar endings. The CGI is truly a work of art and has received nothing but praise. It goes without saying that this long-anticipated trailer was well worth the wait.

This massive multiplayer online role-playing game takes place within the Star Wars universe and was developed by BioWare. The story of Star Wars: The Old Republic takes place shortly after establishing a frail peace between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. The game allows players to choose between 8 different classes and play through a 3 act storyline that progresses as the character levels up. In the game, players can choose to join the Republic or the Sith Empire but can switch sides throughout the game.

Despite first appearing a decade ago, Star Wars: The Old Republic has been engaging fans with fully voiced characters intriguing storylines. In addition, it continues to release DLCs such as Legacy of the Sith. As a result, the Old Republic continues to lure in new fans while staying loyal to long-time players. So, it's no wonder that Star Wars: The Old Republic has been able to celebrate 10 years of loyal fans and great content.

As exciting as the new cinematic trailer is for fans, it also means that more Darth Malgus content is coming their way. Darth Malgus has been a major Sith icon from the start of the release of Star Wars: The Old Republic. He was the main villain that premiered in the first cinematic trailer and has intrigued those who haven't played the game. The new DLC released on February 15th of, 2022, is packed with a new storyline following the dark deeds of this fan-favorite Sith.

Even after 10 years of providing fans with premium Star Wars video game content, this MMORPG still manages to wow fans and draw them back into Star Wars: The Old Republic. The Old Republic is currently free to play on PC with the option of a paid subscription. As we enjoy the new DLC Legacy of the Sith, we will be eagerly awaiting what the next 10 years of Star Wars: The Old Republic has in store.
