Second Earth

Year 1997, Within a secret facility deep in the cold deserts of Antarctica, a handful of scientists and engineers are developing ideas and ways of setting up bases in outer space.They are trying to prepare for the alleged over population on earth by setting up cities or bases on other planets and moons. The scientists are working hard trying to come up with ways to terra form and grow crops on potential worlds that they target to inhabit. The Engineers are building devices and machines that will be used to help develop the targeted worlds into being more inhabitable.

Scientist: " We need to plan now for the future. We will eventually run low on planetary resources with rapid overpopulation of the planet. If we can find plants that can support life then we can move some of the population to other planet to put less strain on Earth"

Scientist#2: "How are we going to go about doing that?"

Scientist#3: "This could take years or decades depending on the planets that we find"

Engineer: "This will take resources and manpower that we currently dont have"

Scientist: "Relax, I'm not saying that we can do all this at the moment. I was trying to make up a motivation as to why we should explore other worlds. We could be richer than we already are. can you imagine having real estates on other worlds or discovering metals or chemicals that are unknown to this planet? we just need to find resources to enable us to do it"

After the Head Scientist was finished what he was saying, everybody else went their separate ways back to work. Everybody else was pondering on what the Head Scientist was talking about but three people stayed over thinking about what was just said about living in outer space and they started giving silly suggestions about how to come up with the people and the money to get this idea off the ground

Dr. Vega Travis: "I admire the Head Scientist's idea and i got a idea of my own on how to accomplish this potential project. We can post job postings or have recruitment drives so people can apply and show interest in going out of space and establishing qualifications as well as prerequisites."

Edward Geminez: " You might be on to something Dr. Travis. I can see a lot of opportunities establishing ourselves on other planets. We could be rulers up there instead of just scientists"

Syd Conns: "We can create our own technologies up there with rare elements up there. We're going to need finances for this so i would suggest that we make up a fundraiser of some sorts about the cause that the Head Scientist mentioned about over population all over the planet"

Dr. Vega Travis: " yes that's a excellent suggestion and we should start that fund raiser at once and i got something i would like to share with you two about a technology that i was thinking about creating for awhile. Lets keep this among the three of us, I recommend not telling anybody else about our side project"

And so the road to Second Earth begins...
