Review of the Seth Materials

The Seth Material is a collection of writing dictated by Jane Roberts to her husband from late 1963 until her death in 1984. Roberts claimed the words were spoken by a discarnate entity named Seth. The material is regarded as one of the cornerstones of New Age philosophy, and the most influential channeled text of the post–World War II "New Age" movement, after the Edgar Cayce books and A Course in Miracles. Jon Klimo writes that the Seth books were instrumental in bringing the idea of channeling to a broad public audience.
Seth is the acclaimed non-physical teacher whose collected works are the most dynamic, brilliant and undistorted map of inner reality and human potential available today. His articulation of the furthest reaches of human potential, the eternal validity of the soul, and the concept that we create our own reality according to our beliefs, has been presented in books that have sold over 8 million copies and been translated into over a dozen languages. Seth's empowering voice clearly stands out as one of the major forces which led to the current New Age philosophical movement. This book chronicles Seth's first contact with author and medium Jane Roberts. It is a mixture of great Seth excerpts, selected by topic, and further explained by Jane. Topics covered include: after death and between lives, how to get rid of illness, reincarnation, why people are born into different circumstances, God, All That Is, Dreams, exercises to develop the inner senses, and much more.
In the Seth Material, death is viewed not as an end but as a transition for the eternal soul, with individuals choosing their time of death on subconscious levels and facing the consequences of their unfulfilled potentials in the afterlife. Seth's teachings emphasize that consciousness creates reality, so death is a "fallacy" rather than a final state, and the soul continues to evolve through a process of reincarnation.
Death as a Conscious Choice
Subconscious Selection:
Seth suggests that all living beings choose their time of death on a subconscious level, an aspect of their existence that reflects their evolving self.
Encountering the Self:
After death, souls must confront their unexpressed abilities and the choices not made during their previous physical existence, according to the Seth material.
Eternal Nature of the Soul
Soul's Journey:
The soul is an eternal entity, not confined by physical life, time, or space.
Continuous Evolution:
The soul does not cease to exist but rather continues its journey of development, experiencing different phases and expressing its potential in various forms.
The "Fallacy" of Death
Reality Creation:
Seth's teachings center on the idea that consciousness creates reality, and this principle applies to death as well.
Transition, Not an End:
Death is considered a natural part of the life cycle rather than an end point, with individuals transitioning to another form of existence or experience.
"You Create Your Own Reality":
This core principle implies that while death is a fundamental experience, it is the soul's own creation and choice, which continues to reflect its deeper journey and consciousness"
The Seth Material is profound and resonates deeply with me. During my awakening I got many downloads describing these teachings before I even knew they existed. Death is not to be feared. It is simply a transition.
That said, similar to the teachings of Dolores Cannon, this knowledge has been corrupted by the human need to feed sacred information through the free will ego and monetize it. The book is profound and I strongly recommend it, but I do not recommend taking the courses, etc. Most of this information is in the book and available on several free sites on YouTube.
