Professions of the future
The 18 professions of the future to have a stable job

Are you looking for a job with a future that recruits after your studies? Are you in the process of retraining but you don't know which field to go to to be sure of still having a job in 2025?
Whether you are in engineering school or business school, whether you are a high school student or looking for a job in a pool of destroyed jobs, choosing effective training is not easy if you do not know which jobs are recruiting.
Our society is changing very quickly, and the best jobs against unemployment today may no longer exist in 10 years.
To see more clearly, we have compiled a list of 18 anti-unemployment jobs thanks to studies of economic and societal trends on the evolution of professions.
Preamble: the impact of COVID-19 on the professions of the future
In the book Disruption , Stéphane Mallard defines this notion as a sudden, rapid transformation that suddenly upsets all our bearings.
Disruption allows humanity to progress, to evolve. But we seek to protect ourselves from it in order to preserve our businesses and our markets.
This is exactly what happened with COVID-19. The disease had a significant impact on the economy and the organization of work.
A third of employed workers were telework according to INSEE , during the first confinement. But another third had to go to work every day.
COVID-19 has made us realize that many activities can be done from anywhere, and that others are immovable.
This awareness will lead to three important societal changes.
Until now, companies have been reluctant to implement teleworking. But now they have found that it can work, and employees are less afraid to ask for it.
Teleworking will change the way of managing teams: offices will be smaller, presence centered on a few days of the week and daily monitoring will give way to results management.
Self-employment will develop to allow companies to be more flexible and to allow employees to organize their working time as they wish.
The second change concerns trades rooted in the territory , which cannot be relocated, which have shown their importance during confinement. Health professions, delivery people, the agri-food chain, caregivers. Their role will increase in the years to come.
The third change is the rise of artificial intelligence and automation A study of trends in industry jobs shows that the number of job offers in artificial intelligence increased by 113% in 2017.
Some service trades will disappear. For example, Amazon has launched Amazon Go, a cashier-less supermarket full of sensors where you help yourself and then just leave the store: the amount of your purchases is directly deducted from your account.
Monoprix has acquired OCADO, a food e-commerce company: robots create your basket that you have delivered or picked up.
This trend will continue.
Flexibility, telecommuting, and paradoxically the need for a return to the human. Are you having trouble seeing clearly when choosing your profession of the future?

Since the Buzyn law of 2019, the famous numerus clauses which limits the number of doctors after the first year has been removed. There will therefore be more places in medicine in order to increase the number of doctors and better distribute them across the territory.
But COVID-19 has also shown the importance of other health practitioners , such as hospital nurses and private nurses.
