🚀From Terminator to Reality: My Vision of the World in 10 Years.
A former factory worker’s perspective on why the future of automation is a promise, not a threat.

🎥 Dreams Power the Silicon
Many of you know that since I was a child, my imagination was fueled by classics like "The Terminator" and "Star Trek". 🖖 Back then, it felt like pure science fiction. Today, it’s becoming the bedrock of our daily lives. Literature and cinema weren’t just entertainment—they were the fuel for engineers who turned those visions into code and silicon. 💻
Today, I want to let my imagination run wild. But this isn't just a fantasy—it’s a "justified" vision of the future I hope to see in a decade. Because in technology, 10 years is an eternity and a heartbeat all at once. ⏳
1. 🏎️ The Jetsons Return: Skies Instead of Asphalt
Remember that famous cartoon about the family of the future? Flying cars were the norm there. 🚁 I believe that in 10 years, this will stop being a cartoon trope. Sure, at first, they might only be accessible to the wealthiest, but technology has a way of democratizing luxury fast. The vision of bypassing traffic in three dimensions is closer than we think. ☁️ It’s no longer a question of "if," but "how" we will regulate traffic in the skies.
2. 🌍 The End of Language Barriers: The Universal Translator
Remember the communicators from Star Trek? The Universal Translator didn't just allow for communication with the Federation; it learned new languages in real-time. Does that sound familiar in the age of LLMs (Large Language Models)? 🤖
IBM and other giants have been working on this for years, but today’s AI is finally closing the loop. Imagine a world where we remove the language barrier entirely. 🗣️ You talk to someone from the other side of the globe, hearing them in your language, while they hear you in theirs—no delays, just pure emotion and intent. This will change trade, science, and human relationships forever. 🤝
3. 🏭 Factories Without Sweat: Supervisor Instead of Operator
As someone who spent over 10 years on the factory floor in manual roles and recently went through a career pivot, I see automation through a different lens. 🛠️ I don’t see it as a threat; I see it as liberation. 🕊️
My vision for 10 years from now? Fully autonomous production lines. The human role will shift to being a Supervisor—someone who oversees the process, optimizes it, and reacts to anomalies from behind a screen. 🖥️ The era where humans had to "sweat it out" through grueling physical labor is fading away. This is a chance for a new definition of work, where intellect and experience matter more than physical endurance.
4. ⌚ The End of the Smartphone Era: All-in-One on Your Wrist
The smartphones we hold today might be museum exhibits a decade from now. 🏛️ I predict the rise of "All-in-one" technology—perhaps a biometric chip or a discrete wristband. 📟
Wallet, ID, keys, and communicator all in one place, activated by a gesture or thought, with holographic displays. 🌟 We’ve seen this motif in movies for years, and we are on the verge of making it real. This will be the end of the "heads-down" era of staring at small screens, replaced by Augmented Reality (AR) that seamlessly blends the digital and physical worlds.
✨ Speculation or Destiny?
These are my positive reflections. Of course, every technology has its dark side—I’m currently exploring those darker scenarios in my science-fiction novella, as I believe we must discuss risks as loudly as benefits. ✍️📖
But today, I want to ask you about the bright side: How do you see the year 2036? 🤔
Are flying cars a pipe dream or a necessity? 🚗💨
Are we ready for a world without language barriers? 🗣️🌐
Or are you most looking forward to the moment technology takes the heavy lifting off our shoulders? 💪🤖
I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments! Let’s speculate, because reality is built from dreams. 👇
