ChatGPT is a computer language model which writes like a human. The recent hype over ChatGPT is reasonable. It is not some other fancy text generator that copies a bit from everywhere and brings it together to make an article that sounds like a robot. ChatGPT is a real thing.

GPT models are trained on large datasets of human-generated text, such as articles, and books, and are able to generate text that is coherent and flows naturally.

GPT (short for “Generative Pre-training Transformer”) is a type of language processing AI developed by OpenAI. It is a large, deep neural network trained to generate human-like text by predicting the next word in a sequence given a context.

ChatGPT is a variant of GPT that has been specifically designed for use in chatbots and other conversational AI applications. It is trained to generate responses to user inputs in a conversational context, using a large dataset of real-life conversations as training data.

In simple terms, ChatGPT is a type of AI designed to have conversations with humans by generating responses to what it reads in a chat or conversation. It can do this by predicting the next word or phrase based on the context of the conversation, using the training it has received from conversations to guide its responses.

The above lines are generated by ChatGPT. It’s incredible that an AI can write so well. It is simple and convenient. You just have to give it a couple of words around a topic, and it will start creating a brand new article from it & your reader will never notice the difference.

My Experience

When I first tried ChatGPT, I was astonished. I am still a beginner writer so, when I saw an AI write 500 words in 60 seconds, I thought, “how cool is that.”

My second thought was to produce tons of articles from it and spam on every website possible. I tried it, but it didn’t work. WHY?

Although money is one of the reasons that I write, it is not the only reason for me to write. The first article from ChatGPT was about poverty and ways to control it. If I had shown it to someone, they would have gotten impressed too. (probably)

Why I Won’t Use It

When I started editing the article to add my personal opinion on the topic and make some tweaks here & there, I didn’t feel satisfied. I felt like something was missing, something important. I kept my eyes on the prize and kept going.

2 hours have passed, and the article is now one click away from being published and getting mixed into thousands of similar articles. No one would know who wrote it. Most of us would happily read an article, and never question its sources or the writer.

It’s not because the readers are careless but because they trust the writer they follow and his wisdom. And deep inside, it was bothering me. I couldn’t part ways with the guilt.

The second reason I felt unsatisfied is that I love the process more than the result. I love reading and learning about new things and writing my thoughts on those things.

My primary reason for writing is to satisfy myself and nourish my mind. Money comes after these things are satisfied. When I used ChatGPT, apart from the guilt of playing with the trust of my readers, I was not going through the process but jumping to the result, which left me unsatisfied.

I never published that article and ended up deleting it.

Conclusion

The guilt of breaking my reader’s trust and my love for the process of writing doesn’t allow me to use ChatGPT for writing articles. Instead of posting five articles a day from an AI, I would prefer one article in five days that is written by me.

If the story was useful, share it with others so they can learn too. If not, then give feedback.

It will help me improve.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences with ChatGPT. It would be interesting to hear your perspective on the benefits and drawbacks of using AI-generated content. I can understand your concerns about the potential impact on the authenticity and reliability of your content. Writing is truly a personal and reflective process, and the connection between writer and audience can be vital. It's commendable that you prioritize integrity in your work and value the writing process over the speed of content creation. Your decision to focus on authentic, personalized posts reflects your commitment to maintaining trust with your readers. It's essential for writers to find a balance that aligns with their values and goals. The ability to provide unique insights, opinions, and a genuine human touch in writing is something that current AI models may struggle to fully replicate. you can use chatgpt for free here: https://gptdeutsch.com/
