Cassandra Netflix Review

AI will surely take away the lives of us humans one day. That means you must have heard about smartphones, smart tablets, smart watches, smart trains, and even now, smart grooms and smart brides are available. But what if I gift you a smart home?

Tell me, it will be fun, right?

Well, if we start from the beginning, see, about a week ago a series from a German country came on Netflix, the same country which has given a terrifying series like Dark, whose name is Cassandra which has brought only six episodes with it.

I would like to tell you further that Cassandra is a limited series, maybe its Season 2 will not come or it may come but even if it does not come, the story is concluded in a way.

The series is also available in Hindi, I saw it in Hindi only, it is not that I do not like to watch it in English, I watch many movies or web series in English too but I get satisfaction by watching them in Hindi.

But leaving all these basic details aside, if we come to some important talks, then I just want to know from you whether you have ever seen sci-fi horror type stuff like:

  • M3GAN
  • Subservience

Or some movies where stuff related to robots etc. is seen.

In case you have not explored this concept much in movies or web series, then I will just say that the Cassandra series will excite you.

But if you have explored this concept like AI, and robots a lot now, then stay with me. I will explain what you have to do, but first of all, I will give you an idea of the story.

Story

There is a family that comes and starts living in a smart home. There is a husband, a wife, a small girl and a teenage boy in that family.

Well, the house in which this family has come to live is completely controlled by AI and there is an AI named Cassandra, which means a robot that can control the whole house, whether it is turning off the lights, turning on the lights, cooking, opening-closing the doors, even monitoring etc.

All the family members are very happy with Cassandra, especially seeing her abilities.

Now the reason behind that family coming to this smart home is that they will get peace and a happy life here, but this does not happen, on the contrary, after a time they start cursing themselves for why they came here.

Now to know why I am saying this, you will have to watch this series.

Cassandra Series Review

No doubt the concept of the series is interesting when the family enters the smart home and when they come to know about Cassandra and when one of them Fynn activates her, your interest will be aroused from there.

Coming to the execution, that too is not bad in case you haven't explored much the theme of the movies coming out these days on this concept, i.e. AI horror or sci-fi, then yes the execution of this series will keep you decently engaged.

Plus as you move ahead in this series you will keep enjoying it for sure.

So I won't say that the series is bad, it is not bad at all, the only thing is that for those who are a pro audience, a few things are a little predictable.

But if I think of those audiences who don't watch series or movies all the time, they only watch series and movies on weekends, if you are one of them, if you see the poster of this series on Netflix, do watch it, it will be a great entertainment for you.

Cassandra Series Netflix

The narrative of the series is shown by keeping it in the past or present and as things are explored further in it, especially Cassandra's past life, meaning what things happened with that, I would like to say that it is interesting to watch.

Nowadays, I see a lot of gay content being added to almost every show. For example, I recently started watching a show called 'Fake Profile,' and it also features strong representation.

I liked the performance of two people very much, first of all, Cassandra and the second one is Samira.

The production quality of the series is quite good and the theme it explores regarding house horror, the production value that we get to see is quite good, especially the scary jump scene is enjoyable.

Now, I have already mentioned the drawback of predictability. For example, if you have watched even one of the movies I mentioned, you might find this series predictable and, as a result, enjoy it less.

Conclusion

Overall, I conclude things, so this series presents the theme of house horror to people from the angle of sci-fi horror and it is interesting to watch.

My rating for this series is 7.5 out of 10 because, in my opinion, this is a worth watching series.

If you have finished watching this series, then how did you like it? Do tell me in the comments.
