This is how women prefer to masturbate
Sex is so easy to have, even and especially when you’re single. Just masturbate! 1300 women have told us how, where and when they prefer to do it.

How often do people say: Then do it yourself! And how often is it exactly the right announcement! Why shouldn’t this also apply to sex? We are here to tell you: masturbation is one of the most beautiful and uncomplicated forms of sexual happiness! Science has also proven: Self-love is healthy. Experts confirm that solo pleasure boosts sexual self-confidence, can relieve stress, sleep problems and pain, and improves the ability to reach orgasm.
Okay, of course most women know how good it feels to masturbate. A survey of Women’s Health readers showed that almost all of them do it themselves. 98 percent said in our online survey that they do or have done it. And for good reason. Studies show that women are twice as likely to reach orgasm solo (59 percent always, 32 percent most of the time) as with their beloved partner in bed. That’s why we want to show you all the advantages and variations of masturbation.
How often and how long do women masturbate?
That varies from woman to woman, of course. But we have asked many women. Here are their answers about frequency and duration.

When and where do women masturbate?
In the greatest possible privacy, of course: 45 percent of those surveyed said they prefer to do it in the evening, 43 percent right before bed, obviously in bed. After all, 25 percent like to do it in the morning — even if it has to be said that, technically speaking, men have an easier time of it there, because they have an increased testosterone release in the morning, which promotes arousal. Conversely, women need a little longer in the morning to get going.
What is the best thing to do when masturbating?
There is no silver bullet. Everything is allowed that gives you pleasure (okay, except in public). What exactly arouses and satisfies should be tried out by each woman for herself. The simplest and most uncomplicated way is to rub the clitoris with your fingers or fingertips. This way you can control the speed, pressure and type of friction as you like it.
Because everything goes intuitively smoothly in purely manual mode, 81 percent of the women we surveyed do it this way. But there are also various aids and variations that we don’t want to withhold.
What tips will make masturbation even better?
There are endless possibilities. You can tackle the path to climax in different ways: lying squatting or standing in the shower, with your fingers, with technical help or without. Here are a few tips
With a little lubricant
It can make the feeling even more intense, the finger guidance even more sensitive. Take a small blob in one hand and keep spreading a little of it with hand or finger on and around the clitoris.
With the vibrator
37 percent of respondents use a vibrator. Suggestion to everyone else: Just try it! Professor Laura Berman of Northwestern University showed in a study that women who use it climax more easily than non-users.
With double action
Get double active right away! Pamper the clitoris with your finger while you massage the G-zone on the front vaginal wall with the vibrator. Want more? Move it back and forth there.
With the shower
23 percent, or almost one in four, also use the shower to relax. Caution: Never direct the stream directly into the vagina, so you easily wash away the good bacteria that keep the vaginal flora in balance.
With visual template
It’s not just men who get excited by visual stimulation: 41 percent of the women surveyed watch porn during masturbation. Also recommended: erotic literature.
Pleasure from a distance
Your partner wants to join in when you satisfy yourself? Even if he is in another city? Well, that’s also possible now. These vibrators can be controlled via app. From the other side of the bed — or from the other end of the world:
