"You are like a dream..." Karmela whispered in Jake's ear as she gently rubbed her cheek on his.

"No, you are." he replied.

Their lips met and they were locked in a long, passionate kiss. She started kissing him on the side of his neck, going to the front of it. She pulled apart open his uniform and started kissing his chest. She sat back and looked at his tattoo in the middle of his chest. It was a cross with a ring around it. She started caressing it with her finger, then started kissing it.

"Karmela..." he whispered, pulling up her lace camisole. He started caressing her breasts, then proceeded to kiss them. She leaned back, and moaned.

She unzipped his pants and sat on him, letting him slide deeply inside her. They both moaned and started kissing each other's lips torridly. She straddled him with what a burning desire, letting him completely thrust every strand of her flesh between her thighs, and he held on to her body tightly, until both of them exploded in complete ecstasy.

"Jake... Jake." she moaned, slowing down as she melted on his lap. They closed their eyes for a few moments, and he started caressing her hair.

"I've never seen your hair down before. You are gorgeous." he said to her.

She sat up and smiled at him.

"You're just saying that." and starts to pull her hair back, to tie it in a ponytail.

He stopped her hands.

"No, leave it down... even for a while. I like how it feels on my face." he said.

She embraced him, and he smelled her neck. He started kissing it gently, then he laid her down gently on the bed. His mouth moved down her body, teasingly between her breasts. She pulled her head back and arched her back, as he continued to kiss her going down to her stomach, down in between her legs. Then he pulled them apart aggressively, and she threw her arms up and grabbed on to the pillow under her head. He went between her legs, and thrusted himself into her. They moaned loudly at the same time. He pushed harder, and she grabbed his hard, strong arms. He thrusted into her again, and she opened her eyes real wide, staring into his. She moved her head up and started touching his lips with her tongue. He pressed his mouth deep into hers, then on her breast.

"Jake, Jake..." she called out to him, as he thrusted harder and harder.

She felt him climax in her again, while he moaned louder and louder. Then he slowed down, until he stopped and laid his head on her chest.

"Jake... I can't breathe. You're really heavy." she said, cracking a hint of a smile.

"Oops, I'm sorry." he answered, smiling back as he shifted his body beside hers.

She rolled to her side and cuddled in his arm. He kissed her on the forehead.

"Jake... do you ever get afraid?" she asks him.

"Sometimes... when I'm not with you. Why, do you?" he replies.

She pauses and sighs.

"I'm not indestructible, Jake... and the people we usually deal with, well... they're horrible people." she answers.

"That's why they're called terrorists." Jake tries to crack a smile, but puts on a serious face and touches Karmela's face to look at him.

"If anybody wanted to hurt you, they'd have to go through me first." he reassures her, and kisses her on the lips.

Karmela smiles a hint of relief, and snuggles back in Jake's arm.

"You take care of me, Jake..." she whispers.

"The way a man like you can take care of a woman like me." she continues.

"And you the way a woman like you, can take care of a man like me..." he answers.

Jake puts both arms around her. Scene fades.

"Dear Jake,

Yesterday, when we were together;

It felt like a dream to touch your face...

The few moments seemed like forever

You took me away to another place.

To see you again was a joy and pleasure,

It made me smile, it made me happy

Which was for me, lately, a seldom gesture...

It reminded me, you're always with me;

One way or another, partner

I'm proud to be your friend... and lover

Thank you, for always being there.

When you embraced me, you made me feel at ease

When you spoke, it was a sound

For which my longing never ceased...

When you kissed my lips, tenderly, yet in haste

I remembered again, how I love the way you taste...

For all that you are to me,

And all that you ever will be...

I thank God for sending you

You're a wonder, tried,

Tested and true.

Love,

Karmela

.....

Karmela, the 23 year-old Serbian SWAT, wrote this letter for her partner Jake the morning after the very first time they ever made love. Jake had to leave early to run some papers to their work, and the memory of his tender kiss goodbye lingered in her mind as she smiles, writing the said letter. But she was never able to give it to him, for he never came back and by night time was certified by his people to have disappeared. He was not heard from for eight days, and this caused a major turmoil. He was believed to have been abducted by the international terrorist syndicate that they have been up against for almost four years. Also implanted with a military microchip same as her, they trace his whereabouts to an old abandoned waterfront warehouse. His position was still. Karmela and their people held their worst fears tightly clenched within their chests and prepared for a massive ambush of the location. Hundreds of highly-trained men and women rushed to the rescue, only to find the place empty. Jake's signal had disappeared and in the middle of the big empty warehouse sat two big black bags. Karmela's eyes turned into a deep, murky grey. She ran towards the bags, and quickly opened one. She stood up straight, staring into the contents motionlessly, as a tear falls down her cheek...Jake's Funeral

(Background music playing as a coffin is brought out of a hearse, carried by five men and one woman, Karmela, all in uniform. The coffin was covered with the Serbian flag. It was raining heavily. "It Can't Rain All the Time" by Jane Siberry. Scene is as long as song; 4:12 mins.)

[SPOKEN:]

We walked the narrow path,

beneath the smoking skies.

Sometimes you can barely tell the difference

between darkness and light.

Do you have faith

in what we believe?

The truest test is when we cannot,

when we cannot see.

[SUNG:]

I hear pounding feet in the,

in the streets below, and the,

and the women crying and the,

and the children know that there,

that there's something wrong,

and it's hard to believe that love will prevail.

Oh it won't rain all the time.

The sky won't fall forever.

And though the night seems long,

your tears won't fall forever.

Oh, when I'm lonely,

I lie awake at night

and I wish you were here.

I miss you.

Can you tell me

is there something more to belive in?

Or is this all there is?

In the pounding feet, in the,

In the streets below, and the,

And the window breaks and,

And a woman falls, there's,

There's something wrong, it's,

It's so hard to believe that love will prevail.

Oh it won't rain all the time.

The sky won't fall forever.

And though the night seems long,

your tears won't fall, your tears won't fall, your tears won't fall

forever.

Last night I had a dream.

You came into my room,

you took me into your arms.

Whispering and kissing me,

and telling me to still believe.

But then the emptiness of a burning sea against which we see

our darkest of sadness.

Until I felt safe and warm.

I fell asleep in your arms.

When I awoke I cried again for you were gone.

Oh, can you hear me?

It won't rain all the time.

The sky won't fall forever.

And though the night seems long,

your tears won't fall forever.

It won't rain all the time

The sky won't fall forever.

And though the night seems long,

your tears won't fall, your tears won't fall,

your tears won't fall forever.) JOAQUIN SOKOLOVIC

Love Honor Respect

The walk was lined with uniformed men. The preacher speaks, the flag was folded, everyone pays their respects. They fired shots up into the sky, as the coffin was lowered into the grave. Karmela steps forward and drops a red rose into the grave, steps back, and salutes Jake for the last time. She looks up and the rain falls on her face.

Camera shot is aerial, and moves farther away from her face until scene fades.
