Dusk arrives right on cue as we walk toward the graveyard and both my friends begin to fidget with their hands and their hoodie drawstrings bowing their heads, never looking up, not ready to confront our host. I think fair enough we're walking around a dead garden of souls and we’re about to walk into the worst death trap but we had to meet. They volunteered to come with me knowing I had to look the killer in the face to let him know I’ll never let him get away with taking my sister's life. Sticks begin to break allowing me to know that he is here and he has company. I prepare myself and Leo taps my shoulder. I try not to seem frightened and ask “What is it” whispering loud enough so Tris can hear our conversation.

Leo begins to stutter “I- I- ju -just wanted to tell you something before well you died.” I roll my eyes and the sunset shimmers in theirs. I think that they should’ve not come with me as their innocent lives are now in grave danger. Leo tries to get it out and his twin Tris does it for him. She speaks with such confidence it scares me. “Well what Leo is trying to say is that both of us had the same dream.” My eyes grow wider noticing even the killer could be watching. I joke to her that hopefully this dream isn’t serious. “OMG I had the exact same dream.” She swallows hard. She knows the truth but Leo is a lot slower than his sister. “Really!?” he says quietly and I respond in a more silly manner so he can understand “Are you crazy! Of course I didn’t.” Tris begins to scold me and I lower my eyes knowing I shouldn’t have done it. Tris grabs her brother's wrist and they begin to leave, I let them go. I made a mistake and I can't fix it. The words Leo and Tris had said before finally piece together ‘Tell you something before you died’ - ‘we both had the same dream.’ I stop walking, cold freezes me to the spot, the killer appears satisfied with my current fear.

They're a lot different than I had expected, in fact a lot worse than I had imagined. His hands covered in scars and his face seems untouched, as grime sits in his drenched black short hair that takes a shimmering white glow from the rising moon a small but manic smile grows wider every time my hands twitch closer to the dagger tied to my ankle wishing I had a gun. It's like he knows he has won but I won’t let it be that way. He looks like he has been living a normal life as his shape is broad, he is tall and his face hidden behind his cloak. Like reading my thoughts he lifts his head to reveal a silver shine in his thirsty eyes.

It takes me by surprise and sends a shock through me. Stumbling back with the blade always pointing at him, maybe the twins are right, maybe I will die tonight. His laugh has me trying to scramble my thoughts. He shakes his head and slowly makes his way over but every step he takes forward is a step I take backwards.

“WHY?” I scream at him and tears hit the back of my eyes. He reaches out his arm stretching toward me pointing his finger directly at me. It doesn't count as an answer to me but he keeps pointing at me. “What did I do, tell me?!!” I yell and crows fly from the forest. He still does not answer and my tears fall. His eyes are full of worry when I reach the edge of the forest and shakes his head. “If I did something wrong, why take her life and not mine!!?” I ask genuinely. His face goes from pale to hot red he is angry but why?, He begins to speak softly trying to muffle the anger. “Step away from the forest.”

His silver eyes are full of panic as I raise my dagger and debate my options. "I did not kill her and neither did you now listen to me step away from the forest, please."
