INT. KINCAID'S APARTMENT - DAY

James and Kincaid brood over losing Amy.

James says, "We can't let Silex sacrifice her! We can't let him win!"

Kincaid replies, "We won't."

"What's your plan?" asks James.

Kincaid responds solemnly, "Something I swore I would never do."

EXT. SILEX'S LAIR - THAT NIGHT

Kincaid and James arrive on the front step of the mansion.

James asks, "So, do we knock?"

Kincaid replies, "I don't think that will be necessary."

In moments, they are surrounded. Fifty demons converge upon them. Kincaid draws his sword. James takes a stance, and fires up his chi; his hands glow in a ball of energy.

Kincaid speaks, "We've come for the girl. Take us to her now, and no one gets hurt!"

Silex's HENCHMAN steps forward, and snarls, "We'll take you to her, but it's definitely going to hurt."

Kincaid replies, "Up to you."

Henchman laughs, "You think the two of you, with your human souls and pathetic magic can take all of us?"

"No," Kincaid begins, "That's why we brought reinforcements."

The swarm of demons is flanked by ZOMBIES. The zombies tear into the flesh of the demons. It is an epic battle, with Kincaid and James at the center -- blasting and slicing their way out.

When it's finally over, the heroes have won. The majority of demons have fallen, with the remaining ones turning tail. The zombies stand motionless, waiting for a command from Kincaid.

"Sleep!" Kincaid orders, making the zombies drop to the ground. "Alright," Kincaid says to James, "Let's go! You get Amy, and leave Silex to me!"

James nods.

INT. SILEX'S LAIR - CONTINUOUS

Silex has begun the spell. Amy is tied to a table.

Silex chants in Latin, "Diaboli accipere anima!"

On the other side of the world, the sun goes dark. A total solar eclipse.

Silex raises his dagger, ready to bring it down.

Kincaid and James arrive just in time.

Kincaid shouts, "Silex!"

Silex stops and looks at the two intruders, "You're too late, Kincaid!" He thrusts his blade down toward Amy, but Kincaid whips a ninja star. The dagger is hit, knocking it from Silex's hands.

Silex yells with rage.

Kincaid charges at him with his katana drawn. Silex dodges Kincaid's first swipe, which is exactly what Kincaid was planning on. The sword lands on Amy's ropes, cutting her free.

"Go!" Kincaid commands to her.

Amy flees towards James. Silex grabs Kincaid in a guillotine hold and breaks his neck. Kincaid slumps to the ground. Silex grabs Kincaid's firearm from it's holster, and aims at James.

"Now for you," Silex growls. He fires.

"No!" Amy cries, and as she steps in front of the bullet. She is hit in the chest, and falls to the ground.

Silex rejoices, "Yes, the spell is complete!"

The sun goes bright again. The earth begins to tremble. Suddenly, bright beams of light radiate from all directions. Wings are seen in the sky. Not birds -- angels. The gateway is open.

"What?!" Silex hollers, "No!"

James crouches beside Amy, and calls out to Silex, "You bastard! You killed her!" James goes to fire a blast at Silex. Nothing. His DIVINE SMITE no longer works. Through James's point of view, everything goes black. His sight leaves him, and he is blind once more.

EXT. CITY STREET - CONTINUOUS

In the sky, angels fly through the clouds. There is a flash of brilliant light in an alley.

In the alley, an angel lands. A crowd gathers, but they only see him from behind. He stands up, and extends his wings.

INT. SILEX'S LAIR - CONTINUOUS

Kincaid wakes up. He cranks his neck back into place.

Angels start diving down from the sky, attacking the lair of demons. Silex runs to take cover. Angels pick up demons, and fly them into the air. Some are ripped apart; others are vaporized.

Kincaid sees Amy, and rushes over to James's side. He kneels beside her as well.

Kincaid asks, "How long has she been gone?"

"A minute," James replies, "She stepped in front of Silex's bullet. Everything is dark. I can't see."

Kincaid nods, "Her sacrifice opened the gate. The angels are back, and your sight has been returned to it's rightful owner."

As Kincaid explains this, he cuts open the skin on his chest with Silex's dagger. He rips the amulet from beneath the flesh, and cries out in pain. In seconds, he heals.

"We can save her," Kincaid tells James, "Hold this against her wound."

Kincaid speaks the Spell of Osiris, "Ferra Vito Prava Nicto!"

Amy's eyes snap open. She is raised from the dead.

Kincaid hits her in the chest with a blast of arcane lightning, "Fulgur Inspiratione!"

He starts her heart.

Amy gasps as she regains her senses. Her gunshot injury heals immediately.

"Welcome back," Kincaid smiles, "Hold on to that amulet. You're going to need it."

Amy asks, "Did we win?"

Kincaid shakes his head, "Not yet," and speaks to James, "James, stay with her. I need to finish this. I'm ending Silex for good."

James warns, "But you're mortal now. If he kills you, you stay dead permanently."

Kincaid grins, "That didn't stop either of you."

Kincaid bolts for the stairs, and climbs to the upper level of the lair. He sees Silex.

"It's over, Silex!" Kincaid shouts.

Silex turns and snaps, "Alexander, something smells different about you. You lost the amulet."

"I still have enough power to take you," Kincaid fires back.

They both draw their blades. Kincaid charges forward, taking the first swing. Metal clashes. Two experts swordsmen engage in their final battle. They maneuver toward the edge of the cliff. Silex strips Kincaid of his weapon. Kincaid’s katana flies through the air, into the water a hundred feet below. Kincaid backs towards the edge, and slips. He hangs on to a rock, losing his grip. Silex steps on his hand, and Kincaid cries out.

"Death comes for you, Alex Kincaid." Silex growls.

Suddenly a roar from James, as Silex is tackled from behind. Silex loses his blade, as he and James sail over the edge.

Kincaid scrambles back up to level ground. He peers down to the bluffs below, expecting to see a terrible sight. A gust upward knocks him back. An angel has caught James, and flies him high into the sky. The angel's magnificent wings lift them effortlessly into the air.

Adam speaks, "I've got you brother."

"Adam?" a bewildered James asks, recognizing his brother's voice.

EXT. BLUFFS - BOTTOM OF CLIFF - LATER

Kincaid has made his way down to the shore below. Silex is pinned between two large boulders. Water splashes against him.

Silex is feral, and spits out, "Kincaid! This is not the end of me! I am everlasting!"

Kincaid strides through the waves towards Silex, and stops just out of his reach.

“See you in hell, old friend,” Kincaid says quietly.

The Sun rises, and Silex bursts into flames. In moments, he turns to dust.

EXT. BEACH - DAWN

A little distance away from the where the action took place the previous night, Adam and James sit together in the sand. In the distant horizon, the Sun rises over the ocean.

Adam stands up, and reaches out a hand to help his brother to his feet. Though James is blind again, the familiar motion is engrained. He grabs Adam's hand, and stands to his feet.

"What's heaven like?" James asks.

"Indescribable," Adam smiles, "You would like it. Mom says, 'Hi.'"

"I knew one day we would be together again," James says, tears running down his face. He hugs his brother.

Adam releases, and says, "The Big Guy wants you to know you did well. He has a gift for you."

Adam touches James's forehead, and restores his vision.

Through James's point of view, we look out at the ocean. The world looks beautiful. He turns back to Adam, "Where will you go now?" he asks.

"We've got a lot of cleanup to do," Adam says, "The world is still a scary place. But we'll turn things around."

"What if I need you?" asks James.

"I'll be here," Adam begins, "But not in this form. The Rules. I can't be recognized by the people I once knew."

They hug again, and Adam flies off.

Amy approaches, and asks, "Who was that?"

"A friend," James replies.

Amy kisses James on the lips. James smiles and asks, "What was that for?"

"For bringing me back to life," Amy grins.

"Oh yeah right, no big deal. Easy as pie," James laughs.

Kincaid appears behind them. He shakes James's hand, "Thank you. For everything."

INT. KINCAID'S APARTMENT - THE NEXT DAY

Kincaid, James and Amy sit in the living area. Amy holds James's hand, and looks at Kincaid, "So Alex Kincaid, will you keep fighting evil now that you're human again?"

Kincaid responds, "It's what I do. Besides, I have a line on a new artifact that may give me an advantage. What about you two? Going to keep up the fight? The war isn't over, you know. I have a feeling you would do a lot of good."

James gives a heartfelt reply, "The future looks bright."

INT. CONVENIENCE STORE - DAY

Adam flips through a magazine, and puts it back on the rack. He walks out the front door. There about to enter, is a PUNK in a ski mask, gun drawn. Adam places his hand on Punk's shoulder. Punk stops and sinks to his butt, leaning back against the brick wall of the store. He takes off the mask, and stares at the handgun. He tosses it out of his hands.

Adam grins, and walks down the sidewalk. He is joined by two other ANGELS, who approach from either side. They match his stride. Suddenly Adam flexes his wings, and leaps into the sky. The Angels look up after him, then follow suit -- extending their wings and flying away.

EXT. MYSTIC LAKE, ENGLAND - PRESENT DAY

Kincaid approaches a large stone. A sword protrudes from the top — point down, embedded in the rock.

"Here goes nothing," Kincaid utters, and grips his fingers around the hilt.

He pulls the sword from the stone.

THE END.
