Winter Prince and the Luna Miko

In a faraway land, there lived a prince who ruled his land with a steel fist. His subjects call him the Winter Prince. The prince was cold­hearted to everyone, including his own father who give him the throne after his father died to protect a his mistress and his second child. They said the prince was born with the blood of a inu yōkai and he had the power over winter. The prince was a powerful warrior who had never been beaten until he meets his match with an unlikely opponent.

One day The Winter Prince meets a strange woman while he was on patrol. He was walking when he hears a beautiful voice singing:

Oh Moon, Oh Moon

Please let me up there

to be with you like

a star who stays by your side.

Will you hear me?

You look so lonely up there as

I am lonely down here.

Oh Moon, Oh Moon

Will you take this young maiden as

your bride?

We will marry and be together forever and ever.

Oh Moon, Oh Moon

Will you hear my cries to be with you?

Will you take me as your bride?

lalalalalalala......

“Who’s there?” asked the young maiden who brought out her sword.

The Winter Prince saw the young maiden holding out a sword that shine like the silver moon in the sky. He took a close look at the young maiden and found she is wearing a miko outfit but it is different. It has the top only covering up to just above her belly button with one sleeve covering her left arm and the pants are covering down to her knees and they are tight as a second skin. He noticed the area the top and pants don’t cover is covered by silver chainmail. He also noticed the young maiden’s eyes that are blue like a sapphire fire and her hair is black as the night sky. He also took out his blade and he thought ‘I wonder how good she is with a blade’.

“I’m the prince of this land, priestess,” answer the Winter Prince.

“If you are the prince of this land, then why are you sneaking around and

listening to any young maiden that was singing,” asked the young maiden.

“Silent Priestess, you will stop asking this Prince your silly questions and you will show This Prince respect,” yelled the Winter Prince.

“I only show respect to those who earn it and not to a spoiled brat who was raised in a palace and never knew a day of hard work,” yells the young maiden.

“I will teach you a lesson in respect to those high up, Priestess,” yelled the Winter

Prince as he charged at the young maiden with his blade, ready for blood. The young maiden flipped over the Winter Prince while bringing her blade down his back to cause a shallow wound. The Winter Prince was mad because no one can hit him ever in a battle. He was invisible to anyone, and he was powerful in his own right. He attacked the young maiden from behind when the young maiden turned around and blocked his attack. The young maiden attacked him with her fist into his side. He tries to block it but couldn’t with both hands on his blade. He finally jumped back, cast ice on his blade, and then he attacked her again. She blocked the attack with her blade but her blade was different. Her blade was melting the ice on his blade. He was shocked by the young maiden. First, she hit him, and now she can block even his winter magic. He needed to beat her and take her as his bride because she is the strongest woman, he ever met. The young maiden pushes him back and attacks him by throwing daggers, that hit his legs, which caused him to collapse onto his knees. She put the blade up to his throat.

“Surrender now and leave with your life, prince,” demanded the young maiden.

“I will if only you tell me your name, brave priestess,” said the Winter Prince.

“ It is Armina. And yours?” said Armina.

“It is Yuki,” said Yuki.

“Well Prince Yuki, I won this battle, and you must get healed so stay still while I heal you,” said Armina.

Yuki was shocked by Armina because no one ever after a battle would heal them wounded opponent. He looked at her while she healed him with her priestess power. He watched her hand start to glow a light blue color. He felt all his wounds closing. While the light died down; he was shocked by the change in her appearance. Her appearance is now with hair that is black as midnight, two fox ears, eyes that are blue as the sky, and a foxtail that is also black as midnight. Before he thought she was beautiful, but now she is like the goddess of his heart's desire.

̈What are you, my lovely Armina, ̈ asked Yuki.

̈I'm a kitsune yōukai who protect the goddess of the moon, ̈ answered Armina.

̈My lovely Armina, you have stolen my heart with your kindness and your beauty.

Would you be my bride and my queen, ̈ asked Yuki.

Armina was shocked by his question but then realized that she had fallen in love

with the cold-hearted prince and wanted him as her groom.

“Do you love me and only me,” asked Armina.

“Yes, I do. You are my soulmate, and I will never love anyone else but you and our children” answered Yuki.

“Then I will be your bride as you will my groom,” said Armina.

Yuki smiled. That smile was his first smile in a long time. He grabbed her and kissed her passionately. She grabbed his hand and they walked into the forest.
