Winter Escapes
Too many times the winter has made my mind yearn for warmer days. I missed the heat from the largest star in our solar system on my face and I missed the lack of need for socks and coats. It was snowing heavily, leaving a shimmer across the landscape, which meant extra layers for going outside.
I walked towards the shop to get my groceries. With it being a five minute stroll, I usually didn't mind the walk but I had this fire burning inside me that held uncontrollable rage for the white, fluffiness falling from the sky. As soon as I stepped onto the main road, I saw it: the entirely snow-white skinned extra-terrestrial who looked entirely in awe at the sky, watching the frightful frozen water come crashing down.
"Ar- are you okay?" I enquired as I apprehensively approached the creature.
It looked at me with a right-leaning cocked head and a confused look on its face. "Why can I understand you, but no one else who passed this path so far?"
I didn't know the answer to the question, but I wanted to. I'm guessing the look on my face was enough to confirm this with the creature blending in with the scenery.
We talked for a while, as he told me how he came to be here: how he was sent on a mission to the earth to collect data, how he came to be here in my village, how he had never seen the snow.

So much intrigue and a lot left to the readers imagination! I know this has to be 250 words but I'm left wanting more! A great story told well! I enjoy seeing what others have submitted to the snow micro challenge, if you get the chance to check my submission out I would greatly appreciate it!
