The Forbidden Touch

It was a cold November night. Silence blanketed the city, and mist slithered down from the tall buildings. On a rooftop sat Arian, eyes hollow with heartbreak, holding a torn letter in his hand.

A year had passed since his lover left, but the wounds in his heart remained raw. Love had become a word that stung rather than soothed.

Suddenly, a soft glow shimmered around him. The air thickened with an otherworldly scent. And then, she appeared — a radiant woman in a silver gown, stars shimmering in her eyes, and a mysterious smile on her lips.

“I am Ava, a fairy of love,” she said. “I’ve come to restore love in your heart.”

At first, Arian thought he was dreaming. But Ava’s touch, her presence — it was all real.

She told him she had come from the heavens. Fairies of love are sent to those who have lost their belief in love, who carry the weight of broken hearts.

In the days that followed, Ava began to weave herself into Arian’s life — sharing morning tea with him, humming lullabies that lulled him into peaceful sleep.

Arian, unknowingly, began to smile again.

One evening, Arian asked,

“Are you truly a fairy, or just a trick of my lonely heart?”

Ava’s gaze grew heavy.

“I am a fairy. And I know... I cannot fall in love. It is forbidden for us. We awaken love, but we cannot receive it.”

Yet the way Arian looked at her, the unspoken yearning in his eyes — it began to stir something within Ava that even magic couldn’t suppress.

Under a silver moon, Arian finally confessed,

“Please don’t leave. I want you to stay… just for me.”

Tears welled up in Ava’s eyes — not human tears, but celestial ones.

“I have fallen in love with you, Arian. I want to be yours.”

At that moment, thunder split the sky. Heavenly guardians descended. Ava had broken the eternal rule — a fairy in love with a mortal.

Ava knew she must return. But before leaving, she asked for one last wish.

“If you kiss me once, I’ll go in peace… even if it means fading forever.”

Without a word, Arian stepped forward and placed a soft kiss on her forehead.

In that moment, Ava dissolved into light — her glow faded, her scent vanished, leaving behind only the silence of a heart once touched by magic.

Years passed. Arian became a writer. His first book was titled “Fairy of Love.”

He dedicated it to a mysterious lover — a woman with stars in her eyes and eternal love in her soul.

One afternoon, standing by the window, he caught a familiar scent in the air. A silver feather floated down from the sky.

Perhaps love’s fairies never truly vanish — they linger in stories, in shadows, and in the hearts they’ve once touched.

The End.
