Wide awake šŸ‘€

Waiting for sleeps embrace.

Looking into the night sky

In the stillness of night, I ponder if sleep has lost my address. Days have passed without its visit, leaving me to question: Have I somehow offended the gentle slumber?

Gazing out my window, I find myself calm, at one with the silence, yet sleep remains elusive.

The room is cloaked in darkness, silence so profound, one could hear a pin drop. Yet, sleep is nowhere to be found, and a quiet worry begins to unfurl. Seeking solace, I step onto the balcony, embraced by the night's tranquility. Sleep has found everyone else the streets lie hushed and peaceful. No cars hum, no cats prowl, no bees buzz only the trees sway gently, cradled by the wind, as if being softly lulled to sleep. And here I stand.

What must I do for sleep to discover me? Who oversees this elusive gift of rest? Is there a hotline to inquire why sleep has forsaken me?

I glance at my phone clock 1:36 a.m. Still wide awake.

Awaiting sleep’s embrace. I whisper into the night, "Where are you, dear sleep? Come home back to meā€
