Why Does the Tooth Fairy Need Our Teeth?
A magical tale about lost teeth and childhood joy

I read the fairy tale "Why Does the Tooth Fairy Need Our Teeth?" on a Ukrainian website and decided to write my own fairy tale.
Once upon a time, high above the clouds, there was a secret kingdom called Pearlhaven. This was where the Tooth Fairy lived with all her helpers – tiny sprites with wings like dragonflies.
Every night, the Tooth Fairy would flutter down to Earth, collecting children's lost baby teeth from beneath their pillows. She always left a shiny coin in return. But children often wondered: what does she do with all those teeth?
The truth was magical. In Pearlhaven, the Tooth Fairy had discovered something wonderful. Baby teeth, which had been loved and cared for, contained tiny sparks of childhood joy – giggles from birthday parties, smiles from summer days, and laughter from playing with friends.
The Tooth Fairy would take these teeth to her workshop, where she and her helpers would gently extract the joy-sparks. Then they would sprinkle these sparks over the world like stardust. When the magical dust landed on sad children, it would help them smile again. When it touched nervous children starting school, it gave them courage. When it reached lonely children, it helped them make new friends.
The teeth themselves? Once the joy-sparks were released, the Tooth Fairy would plant them in her moonlight garden. There they would grow into beautiful pearl flowers that glowed softly at night, lighting the way for all the fairies in the sky.
And that's why the Tooth Fairy needs our teeth – to spread happiness and grow her magical garden. So the next time you lose a tooth, remember: you're not just getting a coin. You're helping bring joy to children everywhere.
