In the third grade in a Wlimington, Delaware classroom, children wore the getup. Each of them donned custom made, tailored white space suits and helmets. The teacher walked into the room and they all shot to their feet.

“Now who can tell me why we wear these outfits?”

A young boy aged nine stood up and removed his hood.

“So that we are always reminded of American explorers and what they did to achieve something that was spectacular.”

“That’s a sufficient response. Thank you, Mr. Kelm.”

During the time normally allocated for the pledge, the class simply stood in silence.
