Lena and Eric had been together for six months. They met in college and quickly fell in love. Lena was a shy, introverted girl, while Eric was outgoing and confident. They complemented each other in many ways, and it seemed like they were meant to be together.

One evening, they were sitting on a bench in the park, watching the sunset. Eric held Lena's hand and whispered in her ear, "I love you more than anything in this world." Lena smiled and blushed. She felt so happy and content with Eric by her side. She leaned her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes, listening to the sound of his heartbeat.

The next day, Eric surprised Lena with a bouquet of red roses. "Just because," he said with a grin. Lena was overjoyed and hugged him tightly. They spent the day together, laughing, talking, and enjoying each other's company.

As the weeks went by, Eric continued to shower Lena with affection and attention. He would surprise her with small gifts, take her out on romantic dates, and write her sweet notes. Lena felt like she was living in a fairy tale. She had never been so happy in her life.

However, as time passed, Lena started to notice that Eric was becoming more possessive and controlling. He would get angry if she spent time with her friends or didn't answer his calls or texts immediately. He would question her every move and demand to know where she was and who she was with.

Lena tried to brush it off, thinking that Eric was just being protective and caring. But soon, his behavior became unbearable. He would accuse her of cheating and lying, even though she had never done anything to make him doubt her loyalty. He would get jealous of any man who talked to her, even her male professors or colleagues.

One night, they had a heated argument. Eric accused Lena of flirting with another guy at a party they had attended. Lena was taken aback and denied it, but Eric wouldn't listen. He shouted and called her names, saying that he couldn't trust her anymore.

Lena was heartbroken. She had never felt so hurt and betrayed. She didn't know what to do or say to make Eric believe her. She tried to reason with him, but he wouldn't listen. He stormed out of her apartment, slamming the door behind him.

Days turned into weeks, and Lena didn't hear from Eric. She felt lost and alone without him. She missed his touch, his smile, his voice. She missed the way he made her feel loved and cherished.

One day, Lena ran into Eric at the campus library. He looked tired and stressed. Lena's heart skipped a beat when she saw him. She had missed him so much. Eric approached her tentatively, looking unsure of himself.

"Lena, can we talk?" he asked, his voice low.

Lena hesitated for a moment, but then nodded. They found a quiet corner in the library and sat down. Eric looked at her with pleading eyes.

"Lena, I'm sorry," he said, his voice shaking. "I know I messed up. I shouldn't have accused you of cheating. I was just scared of losing you. You mean everything to me, Lena. I love you so much."

Lena felt a surge of emotion. She still loved Eric, despite everything that had happened. She wanted to believe that he had changed, that he was truly sorry for his behavior.

"Eric, I love you too," she said, her voice trembling. "But I can't keep going through this. I can't handle your jealousy and possessiveness. It's not healthy or normal. We need to work on this together, or else we can't be together."
