When I Meet the Gods

I will scream, for I have a lot to say -

When I meet the Gods I will scream, for I have a lot to say -

Why did you deal me cards filled with sorrow and pain? Anger and fear? Obscurity and sadness? Is it because I am strong enough to carry something so heavy? Or because I am emotionally weak and deeply needed teaching? What lessons have I learnt? That you have abandoned humanity out of fear of your own creation. You left us in the dark to rot with no guidance nor hope. Now you return proclaiming salvation; to save us from ourselves, from our vices. Demanding devotion and loyalty as if it has been earned. To your shock and horror, you have to face the consequences of your neglect. What deals and secrets that have been born in the dark, are thriving and shining under your gaze. This is the world you have all created, although not intended. The effect of this chaos has sprung opportunities tainted with deceit and moral corruption. We have lost ourselves to the darkness of the grand illusion which we have all blindly walked into a life built upon lies, and you let that happen!

You are afraid of us, as we were once of you. That is why you hide in your disguises relying on signs while you maintain your deadly pride. We are your monsters, your parasites, your Frankenstein. Fear is not the work of the Gods, no. It is the art of humanity. Monsters, fear mongers and scapegoats.Cowards liars and cheats. Lies are on endless repeat so that they eventually become gospel truth. Our senses have been manipulated to perceive the dark as light. The words we now speak carry hate dowsed in a dash of confusion. Knowledge has no value compared to the dollar. Sentiments are void, and the community is dead. We live in prisons enslaved to screens while our world is choking. We've been left in the dark for too long. How red do you think the dawn will be?

We traded in our lives in exchange for barely surviving, hardly existing. Under the iron sky, you sent us devils in suits soaked in greed. We were forced to repress our true selves, we have been conditioned. Torn away from mother nature, a kidnapping. We are nature, dressed in designer clothing. Beyond our comprehension indeed, you need not worry. Focus shifts fast, and people forget too quickly. Humanity would only acknowledge this just to return to work. Their conditioning. You, the inventors of insanity, have made this world of which there is a fee. Taxed into a system that destroys imagination, innocence and intelligence. Thieves of freedom.

Fear over freedom or freedom over fear? Which to choose? The latter preferably, but alas it is not. How are you enjoying the war? As you sit back and watch your children slaughter each other. One on the quest of invasion, and the other in defence of their sovereignty. While the rest of the world looks on as another pawn is sacrificed on the international chess board. Oh yes, the dawn will be blood-red indeed.

We flew straight into the burning sun and the moon watched as it wept. Sobbing for our souls. We have reached our peak and you know this. I know this too. Although time moves slowly, it is dwindling. Fear is what keeps us alive, but we are now being strangled. Just like you are having to face the consequences of our actions. We are exhausted, lethargic, and starving. We are trapped under the iron sky you cast. We are what we are because we are you. Gods who lost their way.

As my presence in this realm fades away, I will embrace my newfound freedom to ask you again: why did you deal me cards with such sorrow and pain?
