When A Girl Loves Herself

More Than She Loves A Man

By FRANKLIN OMOLUWAPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

Every female experiences a turning point in her life when she begins to see herself differently. She experiences that moment when she understands she is a lady now rather than just a girl. Some people may experience it earlier in life than others, depending on their circumstances. The moment a girl learns to love herself more than she loves a guy, she transforms into a woman.

Although it could sound controversial, this assertion is accurate. Girls are frequently taught from an early age that getting other people's approval, particularly men, is what makes them valuable. They are instructed to prioritise the needs and wants of their love partners over their own. The message is reaffirmed in films, television shows, and even fairy tales. But in actuality, a woman's value is unrelated to her marital status or other people's perceptions of her.

A girl gains unparalleled empowerment as she discovers how to love herself. She understands that she is responsible for her happiness and that she does not require a man to complete her. She grows secure in her abilities and at ease with herself. She is self-aware and won't accept anything less than what she deserves.

Self-love is more than just taking care of oneself and buying expensive presents for oneself. It involves being polite, respectful, and compassionate towards oneself. Setting limits and putting one's own needs first are key. It involves accepting oneself for who one is, flaws and all, while also acknowledging one's talents and weaknesses.

A woman can approach a relationship from a position of strength and security when she loves herself more than she loves a guy. She won't give up her principles or convictions to win a man's favour. She knows she deserves better; therefore, she won't put up with rudeness or abuse. She already has a whole self, so she won't lose herself in a relationship.

On the other hand, a woman is more likely to lose herself in a relationship if she prioritises a man's demands over her own. She might renounce her own principles and ideals in order to appease him, and she might put up with rude or abusive behaviour out of a fear of being left alone. Without a man's approval, she can feel inadequate and be unable to speak up for herself when necessary.

The distinction between loving oneself and being egotistical or narcissistic must be made. It's about having a sound sense of one's own value and respect. It involves appreciating oneself and treating oneself with respect. A woman can only love others in a healthy way if she first loves herself. She won't look to others for approval or to fill a hole. She will be able to freely offer and accept love because she is already complete inside.

Of course, developing self-love is a process that takes time and is not something that happens instantly. Self-reflection, self-acceptance, and self-care are necessary along the way. Therapy or family assistance can be necessary. Yet the benefits are worthwhile. A woman becomes unstoppable when she learns to love herself. Anything she puts her mind to, she can accomplish, and she can design a life that provides her true happiness and fulfilment.

In conclusion, a girl develops into a woman when she learns to value herself above everything else. It's a potent insight that has the capacity to change someone's life. A woman becomes strong, self-assured, and whole when she loves herself. She is able to build a life that provides her happiness and fulfilment and to engage in healthy, fulfilling relationships. To all the girls out there, I say: start by learning to love yourself. The best present you can give yourself is this.
