“Who are you? What is Tahshakita? What have you done to me?” I said hysterically

“Calm down Zatskhhelie, we can explain everything to you.” the sapphire eyed being stared at me with so much concern and love something I only see from my parents.

“Tahshakita is the name of our home, our world is the Ataska; my name Namalska and this is Rahashka, we are … like counselors here. We are in charge of things like a general is what the world you grew up explains it best as.” Namalska said

“Wait why after so long did you bring me here! You could have left me; you left my sister alone” I said

“We needed our next line to come back, you were not sent in the Earth realm by yourself, you were only there for safe keeping” Namalska said “Is it okay if we check you?”

I slowly nodded, she grabbed a long bright pointy thing and headed towards me. She took one end of the stick and put it towards my head, I leaned back as it got brighter and then faded. Namalska looked surprised, she turned around and looked at Rahashka with a weary look “It isn’t there” his face dropped disheartened.

“What? What just happened?” I asked

They looked at each other knowingly “Our … King had a daughter and she was not fully.... cultivated our home was taken over and he was killed the … queen appointed someone to take you her, friends' daughter, with her unborn child... In you to Earth to be safe. Your family comes from a long line of … uh warriors that stay really close to the family, the most powerful usually do. Your Mother and Father died. They left the Queen in the dungeon to let us know that we have no power.”

“Woah Wait You mean to tell me they’re still here?! You brought me here! I could have stayed on Earth.” I said

They looked at each in fear “We need her back, is it okay if I look into your mind to see what happened to the child?”

“Yeah, okay do what you need I am already here” She lifted up her hands and placed them around my head; her hands lit up and my head fell back the room got bright it was like I was reliving my whole life in a matter of minutes. When she was done, she let go, Namalska’s hand touched my face she turned to Rahashka “I know where it is” she walked towards him and they were about to head out

“You do?! You can say in front of me you just invaded my entire life, I felt it you seen everything so that makes us sisters.”

Namalska head turned as she looked at me “You … accidently passed her in your friend, the one who died when you two were surfing, from what I can tell she grew as you grew in your human body.”

“She didn’t die, I saved her we haven’t talked in years”

They looked at each other then Namalska turned to me “She did indeed die, we can save people usually passing a little in our light into someone only if you were cultivated in this realm to get stronger, your friend died you passed the light into save the friend you loved and before you ask yes that does mean we have to diminish the human body in order to get the light back. We could only save your friend if she was already alive.”

“Does all the light in this realm make you people insane? You can’t kill everyone just to get your people back, she has a life! Kids! I had a life!”

“I understand you are upset and why but this is crucial to us and to get our home back, we are doing this you cannot stop it, you do not have the proper training to stop anyone, Rahashska will go and get the light back and you will stay and train.”

I laughed “There is no way you I am letting go do this by yourself”

“Fine you can go with him to the realm call it your first training mission” Namalska said calmly “We have to hid you, you will stay with Rahashska no one ever checks his home they would not think to”

I got up and my feet didn’t touch the ground, it was like I was floating. Rahashka guided me through a long lit up hall, we ended down to a door through the door was outside he hid behind a wall and walked all the way through until we out past this building it was huge and bright. He just looked at me and nodded for us to go. We walked for maybe a mile and ended up at this small round light orb that seemed solid, how could light be solid, we headed inside and Rahashska pointed me to a room. I went inside the room and sat on the bed, the bed felt as if it were floating, my feet didn’t touch the ground. I laid there and went to sleep. The next morning, I heard a knock on the door. I got up, answered the door he nodded for me to come here. I followed Rahashska to this room full of gold and purple on the walls and floors. I sat at the floating rectangle in the middle of the room it was food on the table very bright and circular. I sat down and ate the food

“So, when do we go to Earth?” He just stared

“You don’t talk much do you?” He still stared at me nonchalantly

“Okay, never mind”

We ate our food and he got up he motioned for me to follow him. We walked back a mile and ended up at a building that was bright and light blue when we walked into the room, Namalska was already there above a round light orb.

“Here is where we find people in the Earth realm, this where we will find the light” Namalska

The orb kept flashing colors of green, blue and orange. It stopped it was Emilia, she was sitting at a desk working.

“There she is, this is where we will go Ohio, through that fracture behind me you will go and you bring the light back.” Namalska nodded to Rahashska he motioned for me to go to the fracture we walked through the fracture, it got brighter we fell splat onto the ground. I looked up grass, never been this excited to see grass I seen Rahashska standing on the ground. “Well, you land gracefully” I looked down I was no longer made of light I had flesh

“Whoa this is amazing but definitely does not look like me”

“Passing from the realms you appear to look and feel human but aren’t, it doesn’t last long and you can be light in this realm but usually that doesn’t go to well” Rahashska said with a deep voice

“Whoa you speak”

He grabbed something out of his coat it was bright and metal square he pushed some buttons and a light flashed and we landed in front of a yard.

“How in the world did we end up here”

Rahashska just looked at me, walked up to the door and knocked on the door.

Emilia answered the door “Hello? Can I help you?”

When I looked down, we did not have on the same clothes we had on suits, I looked up and smiled

“Hello my name is Detective Ramir, I wanted to speak with you about the death of Ximena” Rhashska said

Emilia’s face went cold “Come in” We walked through the door and she pointed us to the living room, we sat down on the couch.

“I am sure you are aware of her death; we also know from Alenna that you haven’t talked to her in years. Do you think you can tell me what she was like, anyone that would want to hurt her, why you two haven’t spoken in so long?” Rahashska said

She sat at the opposite end of the couch and fidgeted “Uhm, I don’t know who would want to hurt her, she was kind a good cop from what I heard a good private investigator”

“From what you heard?” I questioned

She sheepishly smiled “I had referred someone to her to find their missing teen daughter and she found her, after she had the meltdown at the police station, she wasn’t the same she kept hearing ringing in her and passing out speaking in some weird language and saying these weird things about her Mother and Father that were not true or unreal. It was just a lot to handle, although I think we should have helped her more. She went missing in the psych ward once was gone for a month no one knew where she was surveillance was wiped clean. When she came back, she was in her childhood room and didn’t remember where she went even after that she acted as nothing happened. She went to work in uniform, she didn’t know nor remembered what happened. I’m sure her Mom and Dad are going through a tough time right now, I know her sister is she said they weren’t ready to bury her yet”

I studied the room and looked around, realizing now why my family was so worried. I just don’t know why I don’t remember it.

“Is that your family?”

“Yes, two daughters and a son. I named my daughter after her, she was my best friend.” Emilia said through a smile.

“Thank You for your time its best we leave” Rahashska said

We got up Emilia got up walked in front of us, Rahashska grabbed Emilia by the head and twisted her neck her body dropped to the floor. I stood there in shock, I dropped to my knees next her body and cried. “Why did you do that like that”

“It's never an easy way to die” he said calmly

He grabbed a box and lifted it above her head, this purple light exuded out of her body and into the box made of solid gold.

He stood in front of the door and stared at me, I did not want to leave her body but I stood up and headed for the door. I heard a popping noise when I turned around her head lifted up and she gasped for air. I was amazed and shocked. I headed down to the floor to help her up “Are you okay?”

“What happened? My head hurts” Emilia said through strained voice

“You fell and head your head pretty hard” I said to her

I ran to the kitchen and got her a glass of water; I gave her the glass “You should take it easy”

“We have to go” Rahashska said

“I’m sorry we have to leave; you lay down and get some rest” I said to her patting her on the back

I got up and headed out the door we down the street. He was already pushing the buttons and light flashed and we ended back in the field where the fracture was.

“What was that? How did she come back if Namalske said she dead? Why don’t I remember what happened to me all those years ago?” I asked

Rahashska just stared at me looking at me stoically

“Can you tell me anything?” I asked

“The light that you passed to her is very powerful, one of powers of the Queen is to heal, she most likely healed your friend or healed the last piece of her spirit that was left before she died, some lights can heal humans clinging to life”

I stopped and stared “As for your missing time, that was the first time we met”

My face dropped in disbelief “I have never seen you before”

“No, you don’t remember seeing me before, your human body began to not be able to hold your light, you were the only thing keeping the flesh together, we were shifting from our realm to the Earth realm. We had to come help you before they noticed, I took you to these caves we have here to heal you. Once we get back, I can help you have all your memories back”

I stood there, realizing the reality of what he just said my mind drifted when I came back, I realized

“Who is they?”

“Ishaferal, the man who came to take over he is from a different realm Abatalin is the realm. He killed Hashikt and hid his wife Waskisht” He paused and stared at me for a minute. He walked away and sat on a rock. I stood there alone, after a while he got up and came over to me “We have to go to the realm” We walked over the air shifted near this cave was the fracture we walked in and ended up back in the room we were in. The light circle was in the middle of the room, Rahashska walked over to the left side of the room and touched the wall. A light slid to the side it was a room, there were light rectangles heading down like stairs we walked down. When we reached the bottom, it was an oval metal shaped box in the room. Rahashska placed the gold box in the sarcophagus, he closed it and walked to me he held up his hand for us to sit down.

“We have to wait she may have grown in you and your friend but she still needs to finish this will speed things up”

I nodded, we sat and waited for hours. I feel asleep, a light emitted from the sarcophagus, I looked up a blanket of light was wrapped around me, I stood up and walked behind Rahashska “Where is Namalska? Where did this thing come from?”

“Namalska brought you warmth and food. She makes sure Ishaferal doesn’t ask questions”

We stood there, the sarcophagus opened up legs levitated on the ground and she sat up. She was beautiful lilac and azure blue with a gold round stone in the middle of her heart. She stood up, held out her hand the box she came in was in her hand and she was handing it to us. Rahashska took the box and nodded to her.

“Hello” she smiled at me

“Hi I’m Xim- Well I guess I’m Zatskhhelie”

“Ximena, I am aware. I grew up with you and then your friend. I helped you a lot in school, when you were afraid when your sister was gone. I don’t have a name” she said shyly

I looked at her puzzled, that sense of feeling like someone was there, there has actually been someone there and not my dead cat Harry like Mom told me.

“Yes, I have always been there, not your cat he was cute though very scratchy.” she said

“How did you? Never mind I forget we read minds”

Rahashska cleared his throat “About your name, your Mother wanted to name you Otakinola”

She smiled “That’s pretty, Thank You”

“I have to train the two of you, you spend more time with Namalska” Rahashska said

“Me? Why?” I asked

“You have skills only she can teach you, first thing when the new day breaks”

We went back upstairs and Rahashska looked outside, he cleared us to walk behind the building he moved two plants put his hand on a plaque. The plaque lit up and a rift opened we walked through it was a massive room, it was gold everywhere. It was beautiful, little designs embedded in the walls. He led us to this room to the right of us, it was a two rooms next to each other. “Pick one and that is where you will be sleeping until we save Waskisht and get rid of Ishaferal”

I turned to Otakinola “I feel like you should pick first since you know you never really got a choice”

She smiled at me and nodded “Thank You” she said

Otakinola studied each room and she went to the room on the right, I took the room on the left. Rahashska turned and left us after we got into the rooms. I laid in bed and wondered how long has she been helping me and aware was she, I heard her laughing in the other room a voice appeared in my head

I can hear you; I was aware a lot I made sure not always pay attention, I was there with you in Mrs. Johnsons health class …. and when you Tia in the broom closet.

“I thought you said you didn’t pay attention” I thought back to her

Hmmm just a little bit, my favorite was Nicolas. He always had the best phrases and the best hugs

“No one will ever take your shine away” we thought at the same time and laughed

I drifted off to sleep, when the next day came, I got up and headed to the door I heard voices come in. I entered a room with a floating rectangle and food on the table, Namalska, Rahashska and Otakinola were sitting and eating. I waved to them they nodded back.

“Are you ready to train? I will be back later to bring you books Otakinola and to train you Zatsi” Namalska said

“You’re giving me nicknames now” I said

Otakinola gave a sheepish laugh “Okay”

Namalska got up, said goodbye and headed for the door.

They sat at the table watching me as I ate my food, when I was finished Rahashska cleared his throat

“Are you ready to begin” we nodded, each of us got up and followed Rahashska down a hall we turned to our right and headed inside of this room. The room was vast, floating squares on the ground, floating light circles near the squares and light cudgels on the wall.

“Here you learn to fight, to be agile, to be versatile, and to be flexible”

Rahashska guided where he wanted us to stand, he stood in battle position, he swung at him I blocked his punch hit him in his stomach, flipped him over and twisted his arm. I let him go and he stood up.

“I really don’t know why I have to train, I was a cop I know how to defend myself”

“This will keep you busy until Namalska is ready for you, you are not just defending yourself, you defending your home your heart”

“That’s real noble”

“You can do the obstacle course while I train Otakinola”

I walked away and hopped the course jumping higher and higher on the floating squares, I leaped across to the light circles. I did this over and over, I turned around to watch Rahashska training Otakinola it's been what feels like hours and she seriously knows how to throw a punch and block one. A few more hours went by and Rahashska called me down.

“It's time for you two to fight each other”

I scoffed “She trained for a few hours, there is no way I’m fighting her”

“She is a little more used to her light since she was not in control of flesh, majority of her existence”

“Okay fine” I retorted back at him.

I turned to Otakinola she had a knowing look on her face. I plunged at her, she blocked left and whipped flat on my back. I got back shook my body off and swung at her again she moved right, I whipped around and tried to hit behind she faded, I stood confused looking for her, she reappeared and punched me in the chest to the point I fell to the ground.

“How in the world?”

“You mean how in this realm” Rahashska said

I looked at him with a serious look “The tactics you learned while in the Earth realm may help you but not that much you have abilities you could hone in on. If you would have stayed and trained. Although you did leap quite gracefully on the course, that is it for the day”

Rahashska left out the door we followed quickly behind, we walked to our rooms. “Hey, you can come in here and talk if you want” I said to Otakinola

“I would like that” Otakinola said

She came in the room, she sat on the floor I sat across from her “I always wanted to do this being dormant in your body healing you, watching you with your friends and sister”

“Are you ready to learn more about this or see your Mom?” I asked her

“I would love to meet her and to learn more about what I’m capable of, the disappearing act I did to you today. I did it once to Emilia she almost got hit by a truck trying to save her kid, Ha the driver thought he crazy” Otakinola said

I looked at her amazed “Maybe you here you can finally find you a Nicolas”

She laughed

We turned around, Namalske was at the door she had books in her hand “Hello”

“Hey” we both said to her

I have books for you, she laid them out in front of Otakinola, she pointed at this book it was red “This is your family history, all the powers and how to use them each power is unique to the hierarchy”

The next book she pointed at was a gold “This realm really loves gold, that’s very pretty” I said

“This one tells you about all the realms including Earth the languages, abilities, attributes and technology. It will give you more insight to Ataska” Namalska said

The last book was green “When you have finished both books use this last one, it’s a simulation book it will know when you have finished both books, when you touch the book and open it will tell you all your powers how to use them, how they will advance and how they affect you” said Namalska

Otakinola touched each book, picked them up and headed for her room.

“Now, we need to sit and focus” she said pointedly

“Huh?”

“Sit and focus; close your eyes put your hands in front of each other and focus”

I did exactly as she asked, I placed my hands in front of each other with space between. I sat there breathing in and out while kept breathing I felt Namalska staring down at me.

“You aren't focusing” she said

“Yes I am.” I said pointedly

“No, you are not what is holding you back?” Namalska questioned

“Nothing”

“Look I’m stubborn I should have trained properly with Rahashska and Otakinola, I’m worried about my sister, my dog is alone”

“She wasn’t really your sister” she retorted

“Well when you put it like that and why did you not mention the dog ‘It wasn’t really your dog’ I mean you went straight for the sibling”

“Everything is perspective you grew up with her and you are attached to that life what you thought was real it's understandable to miss your sister you can see in the light beacon when you feel like it and your dog well Rahashska had a cat when he stayed to look after you”

“What? He looked after me?” I asked confused

She smiled “Yes, he did seems you had a lot of protection most of your life”

“May I ask you something”

“Yes?”

“Is Otakinola younger than I am?” I asked

“The light runs differently we age buy differently here, you two very well could be the same age but won't die for millennia”

“Thats deep” I said sheepishly

I sat down, focused, cleared my head with my hands facing each other. I breathed in and out I felt this pull in my chest, a tingling sensation in my hands this ball of light formed between my hands. Namalska smiled “Now hold it, you can do anything with this light, turn it in shape, kept it as ball turn it into a weapon, maybe even turn it into a surfboard” I smirked at her, I held it as long as I could.

“Good I need you to keep practicing that, feel it and bend it” Namalska said

She left the room, I did it again and held it half the night. I laid down and went to sleep.

We kept training day in and day out, we planned an attack on Ishaferal. We left the safety of the training building. Ishaferal was holding an event lots of lights gathered in courtyard. He stood at the foot of the podium “Welcome Lights it was long ago when the abatalinians took over your realm, it was with a strapping hand that we were able to incorporate into your home and I Thank You for letting us be here” People murmured

“No one let you be here but sure will get you out!” I said to him

“Who are you? I have never seen you before, No new lights have been born for a while” Ishaferal said

“Well let's hope when you gone that will change” I said to him angrily

He laughed in disbelief “Get her out of here”

I formed a light and threw it into the body of one of the abatalinians, they weren't lights just red creatures and could not float like the lights, Otakinola grabbed my light in the abatilinian and blew it up. Ishaferal turned around shocked “You are supposed to be dead!”

“Not everything we want happens” Otakinola said

The abatalinians charged at Otakinola, she made them freeze in one spot I shot light shards in all the frozen ones and they shattered. Ishaferal grabbed a red long rod started attacking Otakinola, they had a hand-to-hand combat. Ishaferal swung his rod at Otakinola she moved swiftly, she punched him in the back and flipped him over. He flew into the ground, Ishaferal got up and charged at her again she disappeared and took a light sword and slit his throat. His body fell to the ground, the remaining abatalinians fell to the ground as they dropped their weapons. Namalska and Rahashska killed the remaining abatalinians. The lights were free, they rejoiced and cheered, Namalska and Rahashska disappeared. We walked the halls of the Gashutika, Otakinolas home, we saw all the lights before her. We smiled at each other “Otakinola?” we turned around it was a beautiful light floating towards in front of Rahashska and Namalska.

“Yes?” Otakinola said

She smiled and cried tears of joy “I'm your Mother”

Otakinola smiled and embraced her mother in a hug.

“Welcome home” Waskisht said
