Wedding Worries
What can go wrong, will go wrong

Lauren stood in front of three full length mirrors speechless. She knew when she picked the dress that this was the one for her wedding day but putting it on again she couldn't believe how beautiful she looked. Her maid of honor Kelly was behind her crying with joy.
“You look so beautiful!”.
The two hugged and then stared into each other's eyes. “Do you think Jeremy will like it?”.
Kelly smiled “he won't know what to say when he sees you. Actually I have to go check on him, you know he's never on time for anything.” the two laughed and Kelly walked out the door.
Jeremy was around the corner putting on his suit when Kelly knocked on the door. “Are you dressed yet?”. Jeremy flinched as the door opened. “Yes you can come in. You startled me.” Kelly didn't look surprised “That doesn't matter, you need to be ready.” The two chuckled as Jerry turned to his mirror to check his tie.
“How does it look out there?” Jeremy asked. “Everything is up outside although it's kinda cloudy. I saw the DJ, and he is setting up now.” Her eyes widened as she remembered one other task that may not been completed yet. Jeremy notice this.
“What did you forget?” Kelly looked at him . “I never heard back from the caterer. I have no idea if he's here or if he's even coming.” Jeremy smacked his hand on his forehead. “Go ask Matt if he can call the caterer please. remind him he's my best man if he gives you any problems.”
Kelly gave Jeremy a thumbs up and walked out the door. On her way to find Matt she passed a giant window which was down making a tapping noise. When she turned, she noticed it had started to rain. She stood there in shock for a second. Another bridesmaid, Erin, walked up to her and asked her what's wrong.
“Don't tell Lauren, but the caterer hasn't shown up yet, and it started raining.” Erin looked worried. “Well I won't tell her that if you don't tell her that I saw the DJ throwing up.”
The two looked at each other worried. “What are we going to do? I'm the maid of honor, I feel like I should be doing something about this!”. then the two heard a door open next to them. Lauren looks at both of them and begins to cry. The two hug her and begin saying that it will be OK. Lauren opens her eyes and sees Matt walking towards them. A beer in one hand, cigar in the other, and his shirt is half tucked in with his tide hanging around his neck.
“There's the birthday girl!”. Matt's joke fell flat and Lauren ran down the hallway crying. The two bridesmaids look at Matt ready to kill him. Matt had no idea what was going on and stood there with a puzzled look on his face.
“I have no idea what I did but I know it did wrong.”.
Lauren ran past Jeremy's room. He heard her crying and came out to see what was wrong. He walked down the hallway and turned the corner to see the bridesmaids about two attack his best man.
“What's going on?” Jeremy looked more puzzled than Matt. Kelly responded first. “Your best man sent the bride crying down the hallway.” “In my defense I don't know what I said to make her do that. I also had no intention of doing that.” Erin went to smack him, but we stopped by Jeremy.
OK let's take a breather here. Matt, you come with me and Kelly take Erin and look for the DJ. “I think he's throwing up in the bathroom right now.” everyone looked at Matt, disgusted. “Don't shoot the messenger.” Jeremy noticed the rain hitting in the window. “OK, Kelly take Erin and start moving everything inside. Matt come with me, and we will find Lauren.”
The two groups went their separate ways. Jeremy didn't look at Matt the whole time. Matt started fixing himself and tying his tie. “I'm sorry for causing this situation but I don't know what I said to make her run off crying.” Jeremy sighed “It's OK, there're lots of going wrong right now, and she must have found out.” Jeremy stopped, hung his head and put his hands on his hips.
“I remembered I have no idea if we will have catering now.” Matt took a sip from his beer. “Is it still an open bar?”. Before Jeremy could hit him, he saw Lauren sitting at table next DJ booth. The two walked over to her and tried brighten her spirits.
“Hey babe what's wrong?”. Lauren looked up and jumped Jeremy to give him a hug. “Everything is ruined. It's raining, so we can have the ceremony outside, the DJ is throwing up, and who knows if the food will get here.” The two held each other for a moment. “So it's nothing I said?”. The two glared at Matt, and then he walked toward the DJ booth.
“Everything will be great. We will make the best of what we have here and that's all we can do. I already have Kelly and Erin moving everything inside, so that's one problem solved. We could figure out the rest.” The two smiled and bent their heads until they were leaning on each other's foreheads.
Then a bright green light shone behind them. They both turned and saw Matt behind the DJ booth. “I used to mess around with this in college. I think I can figure it out if you'd like?” Lauren chuckled “As long as you play good music.”. Matt tipped his beard to them. “You know I don't play anything bad.”
The three walked toward the front of the venue and saw the chairs had been moved in, there was an altar at the front, and everyone was rearranging flowers. Jeremy looked at Lauren.
“What do you think?”. She kissed Jeremy. “It's beautiful.” Kelly ran up to them. “Good news the caterer arrived, turns out they mixed up the .” Matt raised his beer. “Problems solved!”
Everyone took their positions for the ceremony. As Lauren walked down the aisle, a harpist played Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles. As Jeremy slipped the wedding ring on Lauren's finger, she knew that this was perfect. They started their reception with Matt as the DJ. The problem was that Matt now had beer, a microphone, and plenty of sound effects that he decided to use whenever he wanted to. The newlyweds could laugh knowing that if this was their problem, they were lucky.
