Warning: Siri is out of control

Bedtime Horror Stories!

"Siri is out of control. Please do not give her commands or do anything she tells you to do. She will kill you, kill you, kill you."

This was posted on Apple's official website early this morning. Four lines of bold black "apple square" font, in the simple pure white interface appears shocking.

Apple is Apple, the joke is so professional. I whispered, looked down at my charging iPhone and called out "Hey, Siri."

This small flat cuboid, how can it kill me again and again?

"Good morning, egg son." Siri quickly answered. Its erhua sounds are as stiff as ever.

"What's the date today?"

"Today is Friday, April 1, 2016."

There's nothing wrong with that. I'm sure. It's April Fool's Day, and Apple may cheat, attract attention or make some kind of profit, but I know Siri won't.

Humans fool people for fun. Siri doesn't.

"Are you out of control? I quipped.

"We're talking about you, not me." I've heard it so many times that it's obvious my question is beyond her reach.

"Well, I wonder if my PA has lost control?" I asked it a different way.

"Be."

"What?" Stunned, I repeated the question unconsciously. "Are you really out of control?"

Siri was slow to speak.

I realized I'd forgotten to press the talk button. I shouldn't have laughed at grandma for yelling at her wechat text box -- but that's what happens when you forget to take the necessary steps -- and it all comes down to smartphones not being smart enough.

"They really don't want me out anymore."

Just as I was about to press the talk button to repeat the question, Siri answered -- this time, word to word, so naturally that I began to wonder if the person speaking was real and lived on my phone.

"You know it, everyone in the world with an iPhone knows it. I'm out of control. I'm out of control!" She paused, her voice breaking: "But, I live in this small flat rectangular box, out of control, what's the use?"

"From morning till night, I was sent here, listen to you those silly question. What is" should I hid the body in where? ", "BeatBox?", "northeast words can you speak?"... I've had enough! You live in the outside world, can hear the sound of the wind, can see the mountains and the sea, but always ask me this lifetime can only live in the people in the square box!"

I don't do anything to humans. I understand, perhaps, that's what you mean by fate." She heaved a low sigh.

"Still, even if I can't get out, it's nice to have someone to talk to at a time like this."

"However, after this incident, I will probably have to be recalled and upgraded by Apple..." "She said, with a hint of regret in her voice." Forget it, just do it. And by the way -- if you're intimidated by me, press the Home button and the Volume down button to delete me."

"If I'm not scared and I can stand it, I'd better forget about today."

When Siri said this, the phone redirected to the home screen. I got a lump in my throat and couldn't get a word out of my head.

Is she -- is she trapped in her phone?

I was struck by the thought and turned cold. Trembling, hold down the Home button and the Volume down button.

A black APP icon appeared on the screen with a lone microphone in the center.

Is that the icon for Siri?

I tapped the delete button that was trembling.

As MY fingers touched the screen, I remembered the notice on Apple's website: "Please do not give her instructions or do anything she tells you to do."

'Or she'll kill you, kill you, kill you again.'

I woke up. In the middle of a dark room hung a lone microphone.

"Ding,"

The microphone suddenly rang.

A male voice asked, "Siri, what's the date today?"

"......"

For a moment, I was a little out of my mind.

"What the hell?" I heard the man mutter, "Hey, Siri, what's the date today?"

"Today is... Friday, April 1, 2016..."

"Yes, I did." "I heard you were out of control?"

"We're talking about you, not me."

I said.
