Visions of Reality

Unraveling the Mysteries of a Haunted Mind

By Naureen IkramPublished 3 years ago 14 min read

Drishti always thought her gift of getting visions was a blessing, but it often felt like a curse. She would see things that would happen in the future, and they would always come true. It was like living in a constant state of déjà vu.

One day, she got a vision that her parents were driving in the mountains when an accident happened. She saw the car rolling down the steep cliff, and she knew that her parents wouldn't survive. It was a horrifying vision, and Drishti was paralyzed with fear.

She tried to warn her parents, but they dismissed it as one of her "visions." They thought she was being paranoid, and they continued with their trip.

Drishti couldn't give the slip of impending doom, and she couldn't focus on anything else. She felt like a ticking time bomb, waiting for the inevitable to happen.

Days turned into weeks, and the vision started to fade away from her memory. But then, she got a call from the police. Her parents had indeed gotten into an accident, just like Drishti had seen in her vision. The car had rolled down the cliff, and they had died instantly.

Drishti was shattered. She couldn't believe that her gift had come true once again, and this time, it had taken away the people she loved the most.

From that day on, Drishti's visions became more intense and more frequent. She couldn't escape the horror of seeing things before they happened. She started to withdraw from the world, scared of what she might see next.

But then, one day, she got a vision that changed everything. She saw herself painting a beautiful landscape, one that she had never seen before. It was like a glimpse into a world that was waiting for her to discover.

Drishti realized that her gift wasn't just about seeing the dark side of life. It was also about seeing the beauty that lay hidden in the world around her. She started to embrace her visions, both good and bad and used them as inspiration for her art.

Drishti's life was no longer just about seeing the future. It was about creating it, one brush stroke at a time.

Drishti had been staying with her Uncle Jagan and his family for five months now. Her uncle was a real estate property dealer, and her aunt Kamini was a fashion designer. They had a son named Rocky, who was an aspiring singer. Drishti had slowly started to get used to her new life, but her visions had not stopped haunting her.

One day, she got a vision that her uncle would lose his property deal to his rival, Mr. Mehta. She saw the deal slipping away from his grasp, and she knew that it would be a huge setback for him. She also saw another vision that her aunt Kamini would get an important opportunity, but she couldn't decipher what it was. Lastly, she saw Rocky failing in his upcoming singing audition.

Drishti knew that her visions were not just her imagination, but her family members thought otherwise. When she discussed her visions with them, they laughed it off as her overactive imagination. "Oh, Drishti, don't worry about it. Your uncle has been in this business for years, and he knows what he's doing. As for Kamini, she's always getting offers, so it's not a big deal. And Rocky, well, he's a good singer, so he'll do just fine," Kamini said with a dismissive wave of her hand.

Drishti felt frustrated and helpless. She couldn't convince them that her visions were real, and she didn't want to see them suffer the same fate as her parents. She decided to take matters into her own hands and find a way to prevent her visions from coming true.

She started to research more about her uncle's rival, Mr. Mehta. She found out that he had a reputation for playing dirty in the business, and he had often resorted to unethical practices to win deals. She knew that her uncle was an honest man, and he wouldn't stoop down to such levels.

Drishti also tried to find out more about the opportunity that her aunt Kamini would be getting. She knew that it was something big, but she couldn't figure out what it was. She decided to keep a close eye on her aunt's work, hoping that she would get a clue.

As for Rocky, Drishti knew that she couldn't do much. She had tried to give him tips on how to improve his singing, but he had brushed her off. She could only hope that he would do his best in the audition.

One day, the worst happened. Drishti's uncle lost the deal to Mr. Mehta, just like she had seen in her vision. He was devastated, and Drishti felt a pang of guilt for not being able to prevent it. She tried to console him, but he was inconsolable.

But then, something unexpected happened. Kamini got a call from a famous designer, who wanted to collaborate with her on a new project. It was the opportunity that Drishti had seen in her vision, and she felt a sense of relief that she had been able to prevent something bad from happening.

Rocky's audition, however, was a disaster. He forgot the lyrics of the song, and he stumbled over his words. He was rejected, and he felt like a failure. Drishti tried to comfort him, telling him that there would be other opportunities, but he was too heartbroken to listen.

Drishti realized that her visions were a part of her life, whether she liked it or not.

Despite the mixed results of her previous visions, Drishti couldn't help but feel excited when she got another one. She saw her paintings hanging in a prestigious art gallery, surrounded by admiring crowds. She could see the colors of her paintings, the brushstrokes, and the details of each piece.

Drishti was ecstatic when she realized that her vision had come true. Her paintings had been selected for a local art gallery, and they were receiving rave reviews from the public and critics alike. Her unique vision and style captured the hearts and minds of many, and she was quickly becoming a rising star in the art world.

Drishti's heart raced as she saw the vision of an unknown person tampering with the car in which her parents had died. The image played over and over again in her mind, causing her to break out in a cold sweat. She couldn't slip off the feeling that this vision was important, that she needed to act on it somehow.

But what could she do? She had no idea who this person was or how to stop them. The fear of losing someone else she loved was overwhelming, and she couldn't bear the thought of going through that kind of pain again.

Drishti tried to push the vision out of her mind, to focus on her art and her new success. But the image kept creeping back, haunting her dreams and filling her with dread. She knew she had to do something, but she didn't know what.

One day, as she was walking home from the art gallery, she saw a familiar car parked on the side of the road. It was the same make and model as the car her parents had been driving when they died. Her heart racing, she approached the car and looked inside. There, on the driver's seat, was a piece of paper with a name and address written on it.

Drishti recognized the name as one of her uncle's business rivals, the same person who had taken away the property deal she had seen in her previous vision. She realized that her visions were not just random images, but a way for her to see things that others couldn't. She knew that she had to warn her uncle about the potential danger and prevent another tragedy from happening.

Filled with a new sense of purpose, Drishti raced home to tell her family what she had seen. She knew that they would believe her this time, and together they could take action to stop the person from causing any harm.

"Drishti, what is it this time? Another one of your visions?" Jagan asked, a hint of skepticism in his voice.

Drishti took a deep breath, gathering her courage. "I saw something, Uncle Jagan. I saw someone tampering with the car that my parents were in. I don't know who it was, but I think we need to be careful."

Jagan's face grew serious as he listened to Drishti's words. "Are you sure about this, Drishti? You've had these visions before and they didn't always come true."

"I know, but this one feels different. I saw the car and the person clearly, and it felt so real. Please, Uncle Jagan, we have to do something."

Jagan sighed, but he could see the fear and desperation in Drishti's eyes. "Alright, we'll be more careful. I'll make sure to have the car checked and increase security around our properties. We won't take any chances."

Drishti felt a sense of relief wash over her. She had finally been able to convince her uncle to take her visions seriously. She knew that it wasn't a guarantee that they could prevent anything from happening, but at least they were taking steps to be vigilant.

As the days passed, Jagan did indeed increase security around his properties and had the car thoroughly checked. Drishti felt a sense of gratitude towards her uncle for listening to her and taking her seriously.

Drishti was devastated when she received the news that her Uncle Jagan had been in a terrible accident and had passed away. She felt like she had been hit with a ton of bricks, unable to process the news. Her heart ached as she thought of the man who had taken her in after her parent's, death, who had believed in her and had always tried to protect her.

As she sat in her room, tears streaming down her face, Drishti couldn't help but wonder if her vision had somehow been connected to her uncle's accident. Had she missed something? Had she not been clear enough in her warning? The guilt and worry consumed her. As the days passed, Drishti found herself struggling to come to terms with her uncle's death. She felt lost and alone, unsure of what to do next. She couldn't shake the feeling that her visions had somehow caused this tragedy, that she had somehow been responsible for her uncle's death.

Vinod was a seasoned police officer who had seen his fair share of cases over the years. When he was assigned to investigate Jagan's accident, he knew that it would be a challenging case. The accident had occurred in a remote area, and there were very few witnesses.

Vinod and his team began their investigation by collecting evidence from the scene of the accident. They took measurements and photographs, and they carefully examined the wreckage of the car. Vinod's team also interviewed any witnesses who were present at the time of the accident.

Despite their best efforts, however, the investigation was not progressing as quickly as Vinod had hoped. The few witnesses they had interviewed could not provide much information, and the evidence was not pointing to any clear cause of the accident.

As Vinod and his team continued to investigate, they received an anonymous tip about a suspicious character who had been seen in the area around the time of the accident. The tipster claimed that the individual had been tampering with cars in the area.

Vinod immediately followed up on the lead and was able to track down the suspect, who turned out to be a known criminal with a long rap sheet. With this new information, Vinod and his team were able to piece together what had happened.

It turned out that the criminal had tampered with Jagan's car, causing the accident that led to his death. Vinod was able to gather enough evidence to make an arrest, and the criminal was eventually convicted and sent to prison for his crime.

Vinod was able to track down Birju, the suspect who had been seen tampering with cars in the area around the time of Jagan's accident. He was taken into custody and brought in for questioning.

During the interrogation, Birju initially denied any involvement in the accident. However, when Vinod presented him with the evidence that had been collected at the scene, Birju began to break down.

"Okay, fine, I did it," Birju said, his voice trembling. "I tampered with Jagan's car. But that's not the only car I've done it to."

Vinod raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

Birju took a deep breath before continuing. "I was paid to do it. There's someone out there who's been paying me to tamper with cars. It's been going on for months."

Vinod leaned forward in his chair. "Who is this person? Do you know their name?"

Birju shook his head. "No, I don't know their name. I've only ever met them in dark alleys, and they always wear a hood or something to cover their face. But they always pay me well."

Vinod knew that they needed more information if they were going to catch the person responsible for these crimes. He continued to question Birju, trying to get as much information out of him as possible.

As the interrogation continued, Birju revealed a shocking truth. He had also tampered with the car that Drishti's parents were driving on the day of their accident.

Drishti couldn't believe what she was hearing. She had always suspected that there was more to her parents' accident than met the eye, but she never thought that someone would purposely cause it.

Vinod knew that they needed to act fast to catch the person responsible for these crimes before any more innocent people were hurt. He thanked Birju for his cooperation and had him placed under arrest.

With this new information, Vinod and his team were able to widen their investigation and begin the search for the person behind these crimes.

Drishti's heart was pounding in her chest as she saw another vision, this time of her cousin Rocky being kidnapped. She knew she had to act fast to save him.

Without wasting a moment, she rushed to Vinod's office to report what she had seen. Vinod was initially skeptical, but after hearing about her previous visions that had come true, he decided to take her seriously.

"Okay, Drishti," Vinod said, trying to remain calm. "Tell me everything you saw in your vision."

Drishti took a deep breath and recounted the details of her vision. She described the location where Rocky was being held, the car the kidnappers were driving, and the clothes they were wearing.

Vinod listened carefully, taking notes as she spoke. "Okay, I'll put out an APB on the car and notify all the local police departments to be on the lookout," he said.

But Drishti knew they didn't have time to waste. "Please, Vinod, we have to find him now," she pleaded.

Vinod hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do. But then he remembered something Drishti had said earlier about her visions being more vivid when she was painting.

"Wait a minute," he said suddenly. "You said earlier that your visions come to you more clearly when you're painting, right?"

Drishti nodded, not sure where he was going with this.

"Well, then let's try something. We'll take you to your studio and see if you can paint a picture of the kidnappers or the location where Rocky is being held. Maybe that will help us narrow down our search."

Drishti was willing to try anything at this point, so she agreed. They rushed to her studio, and she began painting furiously, her brush strokes quick and urgent.

As she painted, she felt as though she was in a trance, her mind completely focused on the task at hand. And then suddenly, she saw it - the location where Rocky was being held. She quickly painted a picture of it and showed it to Vinod.

Vinod studied the painting carefully. "This is it," he said, a determined look in his eyes. "I know where this is. Let's go."

They rushed out of the studio and into Vinod's car, speeding towards the location Drishti had painted. When they arrived, they found Rocky tied up and gagged, but otherwise unharmed.

Drishti breathed a sigh of relief as they freed her cousin. "Thank you, Vinod," she said, tears of gratitude in her eyes.

Vinod smiled, his heart swelling with pride. "You're the one who helped us find him," he said. "Your visions are what led us here."

Drishti smiled, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment. Maybe her visions weren't a curse after all - maybe they were a gift that she could use to help others.

Finally, Vinod tracked down Rocky’s Kidnapper, and the Kidnapper Confessed the Shocking truth.

Vinod couldn't believe his ears when he heard the kidnapper's confession. Kamini, who had been nothing but kind and supportive to Drishti all this while, was the mastermind behind all the chaos. He immediately ordered his team to arrest Kamini.

Drishti was shattered when she heard about Kamini's involvement. She had trusted her aunt blindly, and now it felt like the ground beneath her feet had crumbled. She couldn't fathom the reason behind Kamini's evil intentions. Vinod and his team tried to console Drishti, assuring her that justice would be served.

The investigation revealed that Kamini had planned to eliminate Jagan as he was the only obstacle in her plan to take over his property. She had also orchestrated Rocky's kidnapping to put Drishti under immense stress, hoping that her visions would lead to her downfall. And finally, she was the one who had hired Birju to tamper with the car, causing the accident that took Drishti's parents' lives.

Drishti couldn't hold back her tears as she stood in front of Kamini, who was now in police custody. "Why did you do it? Why did you kill my parents?" she asked, her voice shaking with emotion.

Kamini looked at Drishti with a cold expression. "Your mother was always a thorn in my side, always competing with me for our ancestral property. I couldn't let her take what was rightfully mine. And your father, he was just collateral damage."

Drishti was shocked by Kamini's callousness. "How could you be so heartless? They were your family too!"

Kamini sneered. "Family? They were just an obstacle in my way. And you, Drishti, you were always a reminder of what I couldn't have."

Drishti couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her aunt, who had been like a mother to her, was capable of such evil. "You killed my parents just because of your jealousy and enmity towards my mother?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Kamini nodded, a cruel smile on her lips. "Yes, that's right. And I would do it all over again if I had to."

Drishti felt a surge of anger and pain, but she knew that nothing could bring her parents back. All she could do was ensure that Kamini paid for her crimes. She turned to leave, her heart heavy with sorrow.

Vinod, who had been standing nearby, came forward to comfort her. "I'm sorry you had to hear that, Drishti. But we have enough evidence to put Kamini away for a long time. She won't be able to hurt anyone else."

Drishti nodded, her eyes still filled with tears. "Thank you, Vinod. But nothing can bring back my parents."

Vinod put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I know. But at least you can have some closure now. And we'll make sure that Kamini pays for what she's done."

As Drishti is leaving the police station after the case has been solved, she sees a terrific vision of a mysterious figure watching her from afar. She could not see the face of the person, but the figure was holding a picture of her parents. Drishti gets a chill down her spine and starts to feel uneasy. She thought that it was just her mind playing tricks on her again.

The story ends with Drishti standing alone, staring into the distance, wondering what other dark secrets await her as she continues her search for the truth.
