Biologically-assisted artificial intelligence. An idea brought to life by Ally to breach a bank's firewalls, access their master-copy data and eliminate her family's debt entirely. Then they could move out from the slums and afford the medicine for her younger brother David.
That night, set up in her bedroom, she put on the headset and plugged it into her computer to interface her brain with the AI she custom built. Booting up the program, her body went limp in her seat as her mind made the neural handshake with the AI and she began work on the firewall.
Outside her home, a small field mouse nibbled on a live wire.
As she suspected, the bank's firewall was easy to crack when she combined her intelligence with the processing power of the AI. She surfed through millions of data records on every person living in the country, finding her benefactors files and deleting their debts as per their deal for the equipment she borrowed from them to make this AI work. It wasn't a voice inside the house, but inside her head.
"I had to integrate with your brain to move your hands and pull the plug when you were knocked out."
It was the AI...

Hero or Villain? It's all a matter of perspective isn't it? Her exact abilities are a mystery, but it's safe to say being integrated with the AI she built mixed with her own intelligence that cyberspace isn't a safe space from her.
