They said, “Come with me and have some fun.”

Ha a nibble I must play this right so I typed “No I can’t my parents would kill me,” was the reply.

They said “if you were to come with me what would want to do?”

What do I say don’t come on to strong, “Could I do anything I want?”

“Anything,” they said.

Something a kid would like to do,” Could I drive a car?”

“All night if you like,” they said, “ I’ll meet you anywhere.”

Set the hook, “No I can’t,” was typed back.

They said, “You are the one stopping yourself.”

Let’s see if I got them, “I must stay and do my dumb old homework,” I typed a letter at a time, slowly

They said, “You could go very fast.”

Got them! Now to reel them in nice and slow.

“How fast could we go,” I queried?

“My Maserati does 185,” they said.

“That is just song lyrics,” I said smirking.

A long pause, did I lose them.

Finally, “Okay let’s find out how fast my car will go,” they said, “unless you are afraid?”

“I got an algebra test tomorrow,” I texted, “I must study.”

“Cut school and come to the beach with me,” they said.

“I can’t do that,” came back, “I have responsibilities. I have to sneak out of the house. I got caught last time.”

“That’s lame. You know what they say about all work and no play, are you boring? Come and have fun,” they said.

“Meet me at Jacobs Park. We’ll have a good time.”

That’s it got them.

“Okay, but I get to drive. You say ‘Do you like flowers?’ And I’ll say ‘Without bees please. I’m allergic.’ Okay?”

“I be there in forty minutes in my car a blue BMW.
