Unfortunately Framed Circumstances

A microfiction submission

By Jeffrey SparksPublished 3 years ago Updated 3 years ago 1 min read

Jodi had recently sold her whole collection for $1500.00 to make ends meet.

But today, she couldn't think about that. She was already nervous and needed this job after becoming pregnant and giving up on her dream to become a successful artist.

A room away John spoke to his assistant Tiffany.

"A little to the left... and perfect! Thanks for your help! You can send Jodi in now."

John stepped back to admire the beautiful piece above his desk.

In what John considered nothing short of a steal, he had bought a whole collection from a dealer for only $50,000.
