Unconditional.

A tale of sorrow to come.

By Billie WhytePublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Having returned from a long and gruelling day at work, and with no sight of his wife and newborn baby downstairs, Luke made his way upstairs to find his wife laying peacefully in bed. With one hand over the crib, the baby laid awake in the cot playing with mums fingers as she slept.

"Honey, I'm home" he whispered gently. He made his way towards the bed and peered over the cot, watching as the baby lay fascinated.

"Honey, It's 5:30" he whispered again.

He placed a hand on her chest, his concern growing.

She lay lifeless, as baby played.
