Part One: Sophia

Sophia sat comfortably at a table enjoying her daily morning Starbuck's. Life couldn't be more perfect for her. After three years, things were finally about to get serious in her relationship. Today was the day her boyfriend, Henry, was buying them a house. Henry is the CEO of a major company and was often quite busy with work and travelling. This also means Henry is a very wealthy man and the house he was buying is a house Sophia would only ever dream of living in. Sophia is a beautiful woman in her mid-20's, who grew up with three siblings in a single-family home in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, New York. When she returned from college, Sophia moved across town to an apartment in Williamsburg. She is an aspiring fashion designer and Henry got her connected with some big names. Not only was she about to move out of her studio apartment, she was also about to debut her first ever fashion line! The sun was shining bright in a blue sky this morning and her coffee was the perfect temperature! Everything was going perfect for her...

Then she got a phone call.

Part Two: Charlotte

Charlotte sat down at the table to enjoy her daily morning coffee. She had a happy family, her dream home, and a thriving marriage. Life couldn't be more perfect for her. She is married to the CEO of a big company and has three wonderful children with him. They live in a $145 million dollar house in East Hampton, New York (at least for the summer they do). Their three children are attending Camp Laurel for the summer, so it's just Charlotte and her husband at home. Charlotte is a gorgeous 33 year old woman and a housewife to her high school sweetheart, Henry. The sun was shining bright in a blue sky this morning and her coffee was the perfect temperature! Everything was going perfect for her...

"Hey Shar! I'm in a rush this morning! There's an important meeting happening at the office today! I doubt I'll make it back for dinner tonight! Have a beautiful day! I love you, goodbye!" Henry said while he rushed through the dining room towards the front door. "Good morning to you too!" Charlotte replied sarcastically. Of course on a perfect day like today Henry is busy with work! She thought to herself. After finishing her coffee she walked back into the kitchen and noticed Henry forgot his phone. She quickly ran to the front door to give him the phone. Standing on the front porch Charlotte watched as his BMW left the driveway, with his phone in her hand.

Part Three: The Text Message

Charlotte set his phone down on the countertop. "He'll come back for it," she said to herself. *Ding* A text message popped up on Henry's phone reading:

♥ Sophia

Hey bae, I'm at Starbucks now! Did you want me to order you anything? I can't wait to see the new house! I'm so excited! Love you💕

"What the hell?!?" Charlotte shouted! "Who is this bitch!?!"

She scrolled through their message history seeing flirty texts, plans they made together, and even naked photos! Charlotte was furious! The feeling of betrayal burdened over her. She has given the last 13 years of her life to this man! They had three children together! She was nothing but loyal and supportive to him and he goes behind her back like this?

How long has he been lying to me? Who is this? What does she have that I don't? She is beautiful, I'll admit, but am I not beautiful enough for him? Do the last thirteen years mean nothing to him? What about our children? How could he? I've been so good to him, was I not good to him? Am I not good enough?

These questions filled Charlotte's head, she felt so betrayed and broken. She didn't know what to do.

Tears began to roll down Charlotte's cheeks as she stood in the kitchen shocked at this new revelation. Wiping the tears from her eyes she picked up the phone again and called Sophia...

Part Four: The Phone Call

Meanwhile, at the coffee shop, a handsome young man approached Sophia, "Hey... I saw you sitting over here, I just had to come say hello." The handsome young man said to Sophia. "Hi," she replied with little interest. "I think someone might have stolen the stars and put them in your eyes," he continued smoothly. "Thank you," she said annoyed and turned back toward her phone. "What do you say me and you meet up later tonight, we can go to..." He began before Sophia cut him off, "I have a boyfriend," she said with a condescending smile. "Whatever," he said before walking away and hitting on the Starbucks barista.

When he walked away, Sophia's phone began to ring.

It was Henry...

Sophia answered excitingly, "Hey babe, are you on your way? I can't wait to see you!"

However, instead of Henry's voice a female replied, "Who the fuck do you think you are?!? Sleeping with a married man! You disgusting whore! I hope you burn in hell where you belong!"

"Excuse me?" Sophia responded with patronizing shock, "Who is this? Why do you have Henry's phone?"

"THIS!" Charlotte replied with exasperation, "is Henry's wife! Charlotte, the mother of his three children."

"What are you talking about?" Sophia asked in confusion, "Henry was too busy with his business to ever start a family."

"Is that what he told you? We've been married for over a decade and have three wonderful children together. Congratulations, you've destroyed our happy family with your lustful desires to have sex with my husband!" Charlotte responded, with clear signs of sadness and frustration in her voice.

Sophia could tell she was crying on the other side of the phone and tears began to form in Sophia's eyes as well. "I... I don't know what you're talking about... I've been dating Henry for the last three years. We are moving in together, he's buying our house today." Sophia tried to explain while holding in tears. Is this really happening? She thought to herself. People began to look in her direction as tears started falling from her eyes.

"I'm sorry... DID YOU SAY THREE YEARS!!!" Charlotte yelled through the phone. "That son of a bitch!" she said under her breath.

"He never mentioned anything about a family, he was always travelling or working." Sophia told Charlotte.

"He told me the same thing!" Charlotte replied.

Both woman felt betrayed and heartbroken, the man they thought they would spend the rest of their lives with was cheating on them. Sophia wiped the tears from her eyes with the hoodie she was wearing and tried to hide her face from the nosey customers at the coffee shop.

"What do we do now?" Sophia said, this time Charlotte could tell she was crying.

"I have plan..." Charlotte began.

Part Five: 5 Minutes Later...

"Hey Shar... I forgot my phone do you know where I left it?" Henry yelled to Charlotte as he rushed through the front door looking for his phone. "It's in the kitchen," Charlotte politely yelled back to him...

"Don't you have an important meeting that you were going to?" Charlotte asked, walking into the kitchen. Henry was reading his messages, "um... yeah I did... it was postponed... Mr. Sophiera is feeling sick today..." He said looking at his phone. "Mr. Sophiera, hmm... I've never heard of him," Charlotte responded. "He's a new client... now that the meeting is cancelled, I will be able to make it home for dinner tonight," Henry explained while avoiding eye contact. "Ok honey, have a great day at work!" Charlotte said with a smile. He looked up from his phone and with a big smile said, "Thanks babe! I love you!" Then kissed her and left for work.

Part Six: The Silent Killer

After a long day buying the new house and hiding it from Charlotte, Henry came home to a delicious steak dinner cooked by their in-house chef, Todd. The dining room table was set up very romantic. "Hey honey, I thought we could have a fancy dinner for two tonight! After all, I assume you had a very hard day at work." Charlotte said with a elegant smile. "Oh yes, it was very difficult today, I had a lot to do, thank you dear." Henry replied with a fake smile.

After dinner, Todd brought out an apple pie. "Mrs. charlotte had made this pie for dinner tonight," he said, "It smells wonderful Mrs. Charlotte!"

"Thank you Todd!" Charlotte replied with a smile. "It does smell wonderful!" Henry said grabbing a slice. Charlotte watched as he devoured his slice. "Are you not having any pie?" Henry asked Charlotte with a mouthful of food. "I'm not hungry, the main course was enough for me," Charlotte replied.

Later that night...

Charlotte sat in a chair reading her book on the back deck. Henry walked out looking confused, with drool dripping from his mouth he looked over at Charlotte, "I dont fee so good unee... I tink em gon to get some slee," he said slurring his words. "Okay honey, have a good night!" Charlotte replied with a sinister smile.

Part Seven: The Funeral

The next morning Charlotte sat on the front porch crying as the paramedics carried out Henry's cold corpse...

Two black Cadillac's lead the funeral procession, one for Charlotte and one for Sophia.

The preacher said he was a good man...

His brother said he was a good friend...

But Sophia and Charlotte didn't bother to cry.

Henry's family watched with sorrow as his coffin was lowered into the ground. First, Charlotte laid a rose on his headstone, then Sophia laid a rose.

It was the first and the last time they saw each other face to face. They shared a crimson smile and walked their separate ways, leaving their secret to lie in the grave.
