Tuesday Morning
A hate letter to the second day of the week

Leaning against a building, I slide down to my butt on something wet. A full bottle of wine splashes around my hand. It’s too bright to be after 5pm and I can’t see straight already. My friends abandoned me because I’m selfish and stupid Erica got the promotion instead of me because she deserves it.
Zeus, king of gods, lord of the sky, the caller of lightning and patriarch of mount Olympus descends. Three words come to my mind and my mouth slurps that out. Together, they explain away all my pain: “You’re the problem.”
