The Threat

Oh No... Donna’s voice trailed off as her coffee mug shattered onto the floor. Terry, with a concerned look on his face, said, "what is wrong?

You're white as a ghost." Donna said with a shaky voice. "I saw my ex, who is supposed to be in jail for at least another three years just walked by. It just caught me off guard. Sorry about that." Terry,"Is he going to be a problem?"

Donna in a frustrated voice "I don’t know he was in jail for trying to murder me. I can’t say whether he will want to pick up where he left off if he saw me. If he is a problem or not.

Terry, "I have a short meeting with my lawyer this afternoon. I’m free this evening if you want to talk about it." Donna said "Dinner at my place, we could order a pizza. " Terry asked, "What time do you want me to drop by?" Donna "After six."

I buzzed up to Donna’s with a bottle of red wine in his hand when she answered. Donna was still visibly shaken when they sat down with a glass of wine.

Donna "I called Skip my friend at the Halfway house Travis is on parole he will be there for another year and a half. He works six days a week out in Leamington in the greenhouses with five other guys from the house He has free time in the evenings and Sunday."

Terry, "I’m only back home for two more days. I’m not sure how I can help but I could know people here who could help. Terry"How about starting by telling me about you and Travis?" Donna "Why don't we eat the pizza before I start?" Terry"Ok."

They poured another glass of wine after enjoying the pizza.

Travis Chapter 2

Donna hesitated "Now I'm ready to tell you about Travis.I met him in the Bahamas when I was spending the winter down there. I was a runner like you until I had knee problems Travis was a runner we met at the finish of a run and stuck up a conversation. I took things slow I was very protective of my life. When my parents died in a car accident, they left their only child a pretty good nest egg. I have three fifty-unit apartment buildings in London, Ontario, and a condo in the Bahamas. Terry, you were overseas somewhere with the Armed Forces. When I tried to contact you, they acted like you didn’t exist."

Terry "I’m sorry your parents were wonderful people."

Donna said "Travis would hit the casino in the Bahamas and would spend a week at the Cesar’s after the Detroit Free-press Marathon. His gambling didn’t stop there, he got in deep with the Chinese mob in London I didn't pick up on his gambling problem. He was tied up six days a week as a foreman at a parts plant " Donna "We got engaged after running the Boston Marathon. I said I would have to change my will. Perhaps he thinks I did."

Terry asked," Donna, what was behind him harassing you?" Donna "It started when I wouldn’t bail him out of a gambling problem. Life was going along well, we were even talking about the wedding day. He wanted me to give him two hundred and fifty thousand for a Chinese Mafia debt.I refused to bail him out. He became a monster. He was verbally abusive. He never hit me, when he took the first swing at me, he put a hole in a wall close to my head intentionally. I had friends in the police department. The charges cost him a good job." "Things when downhill from there. Travis tried to kill me with a homemade bomb. He got ten years for attempted murder. He was to be there for another three years.

Terry, "Did he make the bomb?" Donna replied "No Travis gave up the bomb maker, who was a member of a motorcycle club. Travis was trying to join that is why he got the plea deal for ten years."

Donna,"I didn’t know they would parole him to here, I can only hope he will behave himself.I don’t have to live in Windsor. I could just set up again in London. My fear is if I don’t take care of the pain called Travis, he will keep coming to ruin my life."

Terry, "Thanks for telling me about you and Travis. One thing I learned to do is to find out what makes the target tick before you mitigate it."

Chapter 3 Terry.

Terry said "Donna, I wish I could stay longer., I need to back to the resort there are some well-known stars about to stay there I need to be there to

ensure their security. What I can do from here is plug in someone who does security work for me here. You might remember him, Charlie Hanson."

Donna replied, "I remember him." Terry said If it is okay with you, I will have him coordinate with your friend Skip to keep Travis in check." Donna "If that is what you suggest for now ok." I am going to take the steps I need for a move back to London to the apartment I have there."

Terry "I’m flying out in two days why don’t we meet for dinner at the Keg tomorrow night before I head back to the resort?" Donna, "Sure."

Terry hugged Donna on the way out, saying "Everything will work out better than fine."

Terry met Donna for dinner Terry,"Here is Charlie’s contact information if needed." Donna,"I hope I don’t have to call."Terry "So do I, let’s enjoy a delightful meal". Donna "Next time we may be meeting in London while Travis is on the loose. Terry,"Shall we raise a toast to a better life in the future" Donna "I wish you didn’t have to go? I am tired of living this way, looking around me in fear."

Terry "I’ll do my best to make sure Travis will not be a problem" Donna stated "If you don’t I’m going to get him out of my life permanently. I have the money to have him killed, but that could come back and haunt me."

Donna, with tears in her green eyes, said, "Come back as soon as you can."

On the flight back to the resort I thought about life before setting up in Mexico. Windsor was my hometown until I joined the Armed Forces as a computer geek on a special covert ops team based out of Vancouver. My uncle who was with Micro Soft at the time was teaching me coding. I had developed a couple of programs that got sold to Micro-Soft made me a millionaire and richer. After the armed forces, I retired, became an ex-pat in Mexico, and set up a security firm and property investment company.

I got right back into the resort’s security as soon as he returned to the resort, hoping things would be okay for Donna. I put one of his internet security guys to investigate Travis in case it was needed.

Chapter 4 Charlie

Donna was enjoying Sunday afternoon at the downtown coffee shop with an excellent book and a very sticky butter tart. Coming back to her seat after washing her hands, there was a handwritten note. "Hi, Donna, good to see you Just thought I would let you know. I’m looking forward to seeing you dead." Calling Skip Hi Donna abruptly said, "Skip, where is Travis?" "He just came in the door why?" Donna "He left me a note saying he was looking forward to seeing me dead." Skip asked Can I meet you for breakfast to get the note. I’ll confront Travis with it and take away some of his freedom and threaten him with a job loss.

Donna replied, "Sure this harassment from Travis has to stop."

Donna went home, poured a glass of wine, and called Charlie. "Hi, Donna I take it this is not a long time no talk call?" Donna "No, it is just an FYI call Travis left me a threatening note I called Skip he will put Travis on a tighter leash."

Charlie "Thanks for the call I’ll follow up with Skip about monitoring Travis so he doesn’t follow through. Take care, Donna."

Charlie contacted Skip and talked to him into putting one of Terry’s GPS trackers into Travis’s liner of his wallet.

Donna Met Skip for breakfast Skip "Hi Donna I'm sorry we have to meet under these circumstances." Donna "It is okay, Skip I am moving to London I don’t want to have to look around for Travis every time I want to do anything."

After breakfast with Skip, Donna met a real estate friend who listed her condo, She packed up her clothes and started the move back to London. Planning to be back home in London in two hours.

.Donna sat on the balcony of her apartment in London, wondering if this time, with the help from Terry if she would finally deal Travis with. Her gut feeling was that the road to freedom was going to be a rough ride.

Donna called Suzie, her friend in the London police department, to see about catching up for lunch now that she was back in London. Suzie "Donna good to hear your voice. Hi Suzie, I'm in London do you have time for lunch? "How about meeting at Williams tomorrow at noon?" Suzie relpied Donna "See you then."

Donna walked over to Williams meeting her friend."So tell me what is going on?"Susie asked. Donna replied, "I’m moving back because Travis is out on parole in Windsor and has already started threatening me." Suzie said "We will make. Sure he doesn’t get near you here." Donna "I have a friend who has a way of helping me with my security" Suzie "How do I contact him if needed?" Donna passed on Terry’s email.

Travis at the halfway house, angry about losing privileges., He got on the internet out of boredom, searching the Real Estate for Leamington thinking about moving there when he was paroled. Seeing that Donna’s condo was for sale He made a note of the agent to call and to find out why it was being sold. He called from a friend's cell phone "Hi my name is Travis I’m a Dr. interested in the condo, why is it being sold? The agent said, "It is a fantastic condo the owner is being moved to London." Travis wondered if he could escape and go after Donna.

He contacted his friend with a boat He had the fake will that would give Travis everything Donna owned.

Donna wanted to take her mind off of what was going on. Missing Terry and the Travis issue, she called the hotel she used to stay at when she went up to Toronto for shopping and for theaters. They had a suite available, happily, she booked it and took a train up in the morning. Donna forgot her smartphone on the way out the door so she had four days without technology.

Donna returned to London exhausted from the shop till you drop trip, and ordered a pizza to relax. Powering up her phone to check messages, there were messages from Skip, Charlie, and Suzie. Donna knew what the message would be when the calls were returned.

The pizza was there. She buzzed the delivery person in stopped at the table by the door, opened the drawer, pulled out her revolver, checked and made sure it was loaded.

Pouring a glass of wine, took some of the pizza out to the balcony. After pizza the first call was to Suzie "Hi Donna are you ok where have you been?" Donna "I’m fine, I was in Toronto shopping I had forgotten my phone so it was a tech Shabbat.Let me guess everyone is calling because Travis has escaped?" Suzie, "Yes two days ago there is no sign of him." Donna," Okay I’ll batten down the hatches." Suzie,"Do you still have the revolver? Donna "Loaded and ready." Suzie "Let’s hope you don’t need to use it" Donna "I hear you." Suzie, "Keep me in the loop if you go anywhere." Donna,"Okay bye for now Suzie."

Donna thought about calling Terry she decided not to.

Donna poured more wine and called Skip and said, "Hi Donna Where have you been we have been I have. been trying to reach you?" "Shopping in Toronto." Donna replied Skip said, "Travis escaped Saturday."

Donna asked, "Where did he escape from and how?" Skip replied "He escaped from the greenhouse in the morning out thru the bathroom window. He must have had help." Donna inquired "Does Leamington have a marina?" Skip, Yes why?" Donna "Travis has a biker friend who ran a charter fishing boat out of Port Stanley. His boat is named Afternoon Away." Skip "Thanks I’ll pass it along as soon as we catch him, he will be back in jail for at least three more years." Donna,"I hope you find him soon" Donna called her real estate agent to see if there was any early interest. Agent, "Yes Donna, a Dr.named Travis is interested I told him it was for sale because you had moved to London." Donna "Thanks talk soon."

Frustrated Donna made the last call of the evening. Hi "Charlie", "Hi Donna,"Charlie I know Travis is on the loose; the question is aside from getting Terry here, how can you help me now?" Charlie,"I can help them find Travis and make sure he doesn’t get near you. I already have put security guys at your place with Travis’s mug shot."

Donna "Thanks that is a start. I called Skip and gave him an idea of where he might be, she stated, and then asked "Charlie can you call Terry to see if the Chinese Mafia are still looking for Travis? Let him know I might pay his debt." Charlie replied,"Yes I can do that "Thanks Charlie Bye for now."Donna said

Skipp texted "They found the boat at the marina Travis is on it. The police are waiting for the swat team to board and arrest him." Donna replied, "Thanks Skip."

Donna, with a glass of red on the balcony, pondered whether she should drive back to Windsor. I still have the secure condo Travis knows I’m in London. He wouldn’t be stupid enough to go back to Windsor. The suitcase was still packed from Toronto. I texted Suzie about going back to Windsor and will be there in a couple of hours. I grabbed my revolver, phone, and suitcase, hit the carefree highway. Not a lot of traffic on the road. I was back in my Windsor condo in about ninety minutes.

It was a sleepless night for Donna. Skipp texted in the morning. They boarded the boat. Travis and the scuba tanks were missing Security cameras show Travis stealing a truck in the marina parking lot on the far side of the marina. He has a three-hour jump on the police trying to find him. Thanks, Skip, I’m back in Windsor for the time being I don’t think Travis will look for me here.

Donna figured it would be safe to out for breakfast so she walked over to the Coffee shop. Back at the condo, Donna called a shopping service to get some groceries. It was time to call Charlie "Hi Donna what is up?"."Charlie I’m back in Windsor. I might have an idea where Travis might be. Do you want to meet up and talk about it?" Charlie "Yes we can meet, how about that Prime Burger place, Donna is noon good for you? Donna, "Sure see you then."

Donna hadn’t seen Charlie since high school and if it wasn’t Terry’s idea for him to help me I wouldn’t have anything to do with him.

Donna was waiting inside for Charlie. Skip was sitting with her when Charlie came into Prime Burger. Donna "Hi Charlie, I hope you don’t mind me inviting Skipp to the idea of where Travis could be pertaining to him also.?" Skipp "Hi Charlie Travis escaping from the greenhouse has put that entire program giving guys a hand up in jeopardy. Charlie said Donna I talked with Terry he said the guy who is doing research on Travis says the Chinese mafia is still interested in Travis and his debt They were planning to pick up Travis when he gets out of prison to deal with him. If you find him sooner they would make a deal.

Skipp inquired, How big is his debt? Donna said sighing "It is a two hundred and fifty thousand dollar gambling debt". Skip said "Travis is screwed no matter what happens. Donna agreed.

"So where do you think Travis might be."Charlie asked Donna, replied, "His family has a cabin up on Tilden Lake." Charlie, Where is that? Donna said "About a half an hour drive past North Bay there is long lane road going into it. He could see anybody coming in." Skipp said I can let the OPP know maybe they can check it out. Charlie asked, "Anywhere else?" Donna said "We used to go a scuba-dive the wrecks at Tobermory he has been going there since he was a kid. Charlie said, "It is a small town so he might stay away from there." Skipp said,"I think the cottage is the best bet."

Charlie said "Donna Skip was telling me you two used to go target shooting and the Gun club, do you still have a gun? Donna "Yes," Charlie shouldn’t you get it out in case Travis finds you? Donna Yes I have it with me already. Skipp I’ll let you know if they find Terry at the cabin. Donna I hope they do. Charlie so do I. Donna said "Thanks for meeting me, guys."

Donna walked back to her condo. Charlie went back to the security office to activate the GPS tracker that was on Travis The tracker had a thousand mile tracking ability. If Travis was in Tobermory he would know. The Tracker picked up Terry in Tobermory.

Charlie called Donna Hi Charlie I’m taking your advice I am going to keep the gun in my purse. Charlie,said "That is good news Donna I think Travis is in Tobermory I have sent one guy from London to check it out. If he spots Travis, he will text me. I’ll want to meet up with you to see what you want to do,have the Chinese Mafia take care of him or turn him over to the police. When we meet, I’ll have one of my female security people with me so you will feel comfortable.

Donna Thanks let me know if he finds Travis. Charlie said Okay. Donna called Skip to let him know Charlie thought Travis might be in Tobermory

Charlie called the next morning saying Travis was in Tobermory. Terryis asking me meet to you to okay for things in writing. Donna suggested they meet at the coffee shop at eleven am.

Charlie was there with his female sucurity friend Gwen.Hi Donna Charlie said introducing Gwen. Donna sitting down with a tea said nice to meet you

Charlie asked what she wanted to do? Donna said I want something more permenant for Travis. It is time to let the Chinese Mafia get him,

I'll arrange with Terry to pay the gambling debt. Charlie can you sign Gwens laptop screen so we have it. I'll send it to Terry.

Donna said "Thanks" Charlie was getting more coffee asking Donna if shewanted more tea. Donna looking at her watch said Yes I have time before the Toronto book Festival. I'm on the two pm train.

Charlie came back to the table with the drinks and Donna's favorite butter tart cupcakes. Charlie said a little celebaration for getting Travis out of your life. Donna said Thanks. It was the usual sticky mess Donna asked Gwen to watch her purse while she went to wash up.

Back at the table Donna thanked Charlie for his help,leaving to get ready for Book Festival.

Donna emailed Terry what happens to Travis if the Chinese pick him up? Please let me know. Charlie says he found him. Terry replied quickly The CM will want the two hundred and fifty thousand. Once paid they will take him to China to be somebody’s bitch. Donna With your OK I will arrange everything I’ll pay it and you can make the same dollar donation to my Computer Camp Foudation. Donna how long will it take to arrange? Terry about forty-eight hours.

Donna Go ahead do it. I am going to Toronto for a book festival to forget this every happened. Terry emailed Have fun.

Donna booked the Nova Tel in Toronto, and put her gun in the safe in Windsor,and texted Suzie going to Toronto for a book festival. Will have my phone this time. She called a cab for a trip to the Windsor train station and took Via 1 to Toronto.

Donna enjoyed the weekend in Toronto, oblivious to what was going on around her.

Chapter Suzie

Sunday afternoon Donna took the train to London after the festival around two pm. Suzie called Hi Suzie "I was just about to text you to tell you I’m in London. Suzie,stated "This is not a social call I need you to come to the station You might want to bring a lawyer." Donna asked "What is wrong?" Suzie,replied I can’t tell you on the phone. Donna said "I’ll be there in an hour."

Donna called her Lawyer "Hi Donna, are you okay?"he asked "I don’t know Suzie called me asking me to come to the station saying I should bring a lawyer.?"Donna replied "Robert her lawyer asked "Donna have you had the news on this weekend?" "No I was in Toronto at a book festival. why?"Donna asked Robert "said "They found your ex Travis dead in a motel room in Tobermory he had been on the run breaching his parole." Donna confused saying"Travis is dead? pausing "Robert, my car is in Windsor can you pick me up to go to the Station?" Her "Robert said "Donna I’ll pick you up in twenty minutes."

Donna emailed Terry Something has gone wrong Travis was found dead in a motel room.

Arriving at the Police Station Robert said"Don’t say a word other than your name. We are here to find out what is going on and why they want to talk to you. I will tell them you were in Toronto if needed." Donna said "Suzie knows that."

They took Donna and her lawyer to an interview room. Detective Susan Marchand."Starting interview at five fifteen pm. Could you state your name, please?" Donna looked at her lawyer, he nodded okay. "Donna Marie Rae. Dectective Susan "I am informing you are under investigation for the murder of Travis Ma Gee in Tobermory around Seven Pm Saturday, August thirteenth the year twenty thousand and eleven."

Robert"Why is she a suspect?" Susan said "The OPP have found a gun that looks like the one Donna owns. Security cameras have seen a vehicle that looks like your vehicle". Donna’s lawyer, My client,was in Toronto all weekend. Those security cameras had better have the proper warrants to look at them. Detective Susan "I am advising your client not to leave London during the investigation."

The interview ended at five forty-five pm. Donna and her lawyer were esscorted out. Donna said "I don’t understand what is going on?" Robert said, "If you were in Toronto all weekend someone wants to make it look like you were in Tobermory."

Robert "Are you hungry Donna? Donna "Yes" Robert "Let’s go back to my office I’ll order pizza and we can chat." Donna "Okay."

Robert "We need to verify you were in Toronto do you have receipts for the things you did?" Donna, "They are in my overnight bag." Robert" Can you bring them in?" Donna "As soon as I get the bag. I checked it on the train They didn’t unload it in London, so it is probably in the baggage holding area in Windsor"

Robert “Donna, what was going on between you and Travis? Travis had been paroled to Windsor since he saw me at a coffee shop and wanted to see me dead. I had a friend who has an international security business who was helping to keep me safe. Did you know Travis was in Tobermory?"Donna"Yes the security team said he might be there. They were verifying it when I left for Toronto."Robert asked "Did you want him dead?" "No,there was a plan being developed to turn Travis over to the Chineses Mafia. The deal was if I paid Travis’s gambling debt, they would take him to China to be somebody’s bitch." Donna said Robert asked, "Where is your gun?" Donna replied "Locked in my safe in the condo that I am selling in Windsor. I am moving back to London." Robert,"We need to get your bag in Windsor and have a video about getting the gun out of the safe in Windsor."

Robert,"I’ll have someone to get your luggage and to bring the gun back." Donna "I have my keys with me I can leave them with you Let me write the combination to the safe and the directions to find the safe."

Donna "If they go down by train, could you have them drive my car back? It has been in the secure condo parking all weekend." Robert "Yes we can do that."

Robert" Let me drive you home. You must be tired." "Donna Yes I am. Robert "Don’t worry about what Suzie is doing with the receipts of you being in Toronto: everything will be all right."

Robert sent one of his junior lawyers to Windsor with a video camera.

The junior lawyer called from the train station saying the attendant said Donna picked up the bag earlier. Robert said Ok head to the condo, get the gun and the car.

Robert called Donna "Hi Robert, what can I do for you. Donna, did you go to Windsor to get the bag?" "No, Robert, I don’t have a car and I’m obeying the request not to leave London why? Donna, my junior lawyer, was told Donna picked it up earlier.

Donna said "The only thing I did was call the station to make sure the bag was there." Robert "Ok."

The junior lawyer called Robert an hour later tot tell Robert the car is not in the parking area. I checked with the manager in the office they said the car left at eight am on Saturday and has not come back. They have to key out and key into the garage it is a security that registers with the office when it happens. Robert wondered what was going on Donna’s bag and car was missing The only record they had was Donna supposedly boarding a train to Toronto on Friday . The Junior lawyer came back with the gun. Robert called Donna Hi Donna, something doesn’t match up here your car was not there,it left the garage at eight am on Saturday. We have the gun do you have the serial number Donna said If you want to hold I get it. Robert OK.

Donna came back and read the serial number Robert said thanks we will find out what is going on. The serial number didn’t match.

Donna poured a glass of red ordered an Italian meal to be delivered. She wished Terry was back, he was someone who she could count on to figure things out.

The next day Suzie learned the ballistics of the bullet that killed Travis matched Donna’s gun that was found in the dumpster.

Suzie, out of friendship, didn’t send a patrol call to pick her up. She called Donna."I need you to come in again with your lawyer?"

"When Donna got to the police department Dectective Susan took them to an interview room. Donna you are being charged with murder and they printed her. Donna started crying, saying "Suzie you know me I didn’t do it." Dectective Susan said "You need to go to Tobermory tomorrow where you will be arraigned. Robert said what time Suzie said One o’clock. Donna "Can I go home? Suzie Yes. Robert "Thanks" He knew Suzie could have remanded her in cousdity.

When they got into Robert’s car, Donna I’m going to bring in the best criminal defence lawyer we can. Donna shaking and crying, "I’m going to see if Terry will come to help me. He is an old friend who worked in cyber ops with the armed forces if someone is messing with me, he will figure out who it is." Robert said, "I’ll contact him if you like." Donna said Thanks.

Robert called the resort and got Terry on the phone. After introducing himself Terry Donna is being charged with murdering Travis, all the proof that Donna was in Toronto had disappeared. Terry, "I’ll be on the next flight out. Tell Donna not to use her iPhone or computer until I get back Use a land line for communication.

Robert said Thanks Terry asked "Is Donna in Windsor or London? Robert "London. Terry, "Thanks tell Donna I am on my way." Robert Will do thanks.

Robert called Donna on the land line Hi Donna, "I talked with Terry he will be on the next flight out. He is asking that you not use your iPhone or computer." Donna "Okay, thanks for calling him. Can he stay with me when he gets here?"

Robert,"He can if he wants to. I’ll pick you up at nine in the morning to have enough time to get to Tobermory Donna bring your passport Let your accountant know bail will be five hundred thousand" Donna said," Okay Ill see you in the morning goodnight Robert."

Donna took a bottle of red wine and the leftover pizza out to the balcony to relax. She starting to think about who could have killed Travis,Three ames came to mind. She would tell Robert about them in the morning.

Terry checked with the person who was internet searching Travis. He found out there were at least ten people who would want Travis dead. Terry just had to prove Donna did not kill Travis.

Donna got into Robert’s car and met her criminal lawyer, Gordon. Donna asked Robert to stop at her accontants office to pick up the bail money. Handing it to Gordon. He said "This is I want to do Just say your name and say yes, understand the charges and plead not guilty. That is all you say not another word Okay Donna Yes. Then we will get you out with bail you with the five hundred thousand dollars a security that you will appear and you will surrender your passport. That means you will live in your apartment. Is that it acceptable to you?" Donna "Yes thank you." Donna felt numb about what was going on The only thing she wanted to see was Terry she believed he was the only one who could really help her.

The court appearance went just the way the lawyer said Donna posted the bail. Donna was back at home by six.pm

Terry called at seven "Hi Donna How are doing? Donna better now that you are on the phone." Terry said I’m in Windsor I’ll be at your place in about two hours have a glass of red and a pizza ready . If it is okay, I’ll crash in your spare bedroom? Donna "Of course you can See you soon"

Terry arrived about five minutes before the pizza arrived. Donna gave Terry a big hug “thanks for coming.” Terry “Good to see you no shop talk tonight let’s just enjoy the pizza and the wine.” Donna “Okay” Terry asked for a set of keys for a run in the morning Donna’s second set of keys were not in the bag, like they always were. Donna gave Terry her other set of keys.

On the run Terry started thinking about getting Donna free. He had a list of probables it would be a process of elimination.

Donna had the coffee perking and muffins in the oven,trying to feel normal again. Terry said,"Thanks for the coffee.

Donna said we have thirty days to figure this out before I have to be back in court Terry said let’s get to work. Donna Do you think it was the Chineses? Driving up to Tobermory he wondered I his friend Charlie could have killedTravis in a way to set up Donna over something that happened in highschool.

Terry bought the new mask before he left.

Terry’s next stop was the Motorway Motel. Terry booked in an overnight stay He went to his room and hack into the bookings to see if Charlie was there. Charlie was booked in with Gwen. He took a screenshot of the booking.

He wondered why Charlie hadn’t covered his tracks? Thinking about it. Charlie was too focused on the making it look like Donna did it with Gwen possing as Donna He wasn’t thinking I would come back to help Donna. Terry was up early to the dive of the wrecks. When he was down he spotted something strange that was not normal with a wreck It was a bag with a soaked blonde wig. Terry called Donna "I’ll should be back around five. Donna said "Chilling the champagane I’ll see you soon."

Donna put together a lasagna, One of Terry’s favourite home made meals. Terry arrived right around five. Terry had stopped at a roadside stand and bought a bouquet of fresh-cut flowers.

I have proofed they dove on the Sunday morning with the pictures of where the bag they tried to hide on the wreck.

Donna said,"Wow" She got up and hugged Terry. Donna said" We should go in for dinner, it should be ready to take out of the oven. Donna took the lasagna out Terry can you open the champagne while I get the salad ready. Terry Sure. It was a nice relaxing evening Back out on the balcony with champagne Donna with a big smile lets celebrate my freedom. Donna poured a couple glasses of red. Sitting on the balcony Donna said we have an appointment with the lawyers tomorrow at two pm. Terry, Good I think we have all we need to get the charges dropped. Donna said let’s hope so.

Donna was still nervous when her and Terry went to lawyers They were taken to a meeting room, Robert and Gordon came in together.

They had a secretary to take notes. Terry introduced himself and told them he had put Charlie in charge of Donna’s safety when Travis had found Donna in Windsor. Terry laid out what Charlie had done, how he and his wife were in Tobermory when Travis was there. Terry explained the tracking of the GPS. Terry showed them the proof.

Donna had the receipt from the Nova Tel and verification of her being on the Via one from Windsor to Toronto and Toronto to London.

Donna whipped up an omelette for breakfast before they left Windsor. Donna hugged Terry and said Thanks again.

The next few days were business as usual for Terry.

Donna setteled into her Bahamas condo it was time to repair a strianed relationship with a new glass of a red wine she called Suzie back in London.

"Hi Suzie" "Hi Donna How are you?" "Suzie I'm doing fine I'm in the Bahamas."

Donna said "Suzie I know you were just doing your job, so let say that is water under the bridge. Suzie that works for me." Suzie "I'm glad Terry figured it out." Donna "So am I." Suzie "How long are you in the Bahamas for?" Donna "A month maybe two there is no reason to rush back,why?" Suzie "I have a couple of weeks vacation coming up." Donna "The door is open, let me know when and if your coming in by plane or the cruise ship." Suzie "I'll email you the details. Donna"Sounds good see you soon."

Donna sat back relaxing knowing she was finally free thanks to Terry.
